- Dea Matrona - Get My Mind Off (Official Audio)
Written & produced by Mollie McGinn & Orláith Forsythe
Pre-Order Dea Matrona’s debut album ‘For Your Sins’ now: deamatrona.tmstor.es/
Lyrics:
It's complicated,
I feel frustrated,
I’m violated,
Cos I gotta get,
Get my mind off you
I like the feeling,
Up on the ceiling,
Ooo I’m reeling,
Cos I gotta get,
Get my mind off you
Every single day, every hour,
Try to let it go, I got the power,
Never thought I’d ever be like this,
You turn me into someone I don’t recognise
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off
I know I’m crazy,
You think I’m lazy,
My memories hazy,
Cos I gotta get,
Get my mind off you
Every single day, every hour
Try to let it go, I got the power
Never thought I’d ever be like this
You turn me into someone I don’t recognise
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off
I gotta get my mind off you,
I gotta get my mind off you,
Ooo, ooo, ooo
Every single day, every single hour
Try to let it go, try to get the power
Never thought I would ever be like this
Now I’m someone I don’t recognise
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off you,
Get my mind off you,
Gotta get my mind off

To have produced and arranged a whole album at such a young age shows a special talent. Fantastic stuff
Outstanding. Finally a musical export all of us here in NI can be proud of.
All songs: written by Mollie and Orlaith :)
Looking forward to getting the new album
The drumming along with the bassline is excellent. I loved the triplets towards the end.
So good, you need to be massive. Every track is a hit.
How Ya ORLIATH & MOLLIE been there since the busking days met you both once at Whelan's Dublin Totally Delighted for you GOOD LUCK WITH THE ALBUM & THE TOUR BIG 👍🌹🌹®️
The approach of a heavy guitar effect is a great idea ,it is a formula that always works .
With material like this,...i can see Wembley and all those big stages on the horizon. You are writing quality stuff. As far as i'm concerned,...you really are the modern day, female version of Cream. I'm in awe, xo xo.
Yes It Is Hear love you !!!! Go Get Em !!!!!! more slide is a good thing !!
Like it!
LOVE THIS! 💥🔥🤘
The production is so clean and so well done. I love the effects on the bass!! So thick and dirty! The new drummer and a guitar specialist add such an amazing touch to you two amazing girls!!
Rock on women!!
If only this made me stop thinking of my past loves it would be perfect; "Got to get my mind off you" how many times I have thought that! ❤️
Nice and bluesy.
Fantastic ladies loved it ❤❤❤❤
This is a my favourite of yours to date. Have you ever considered composing an instrumental? Something with lots of bends and turns in it.
You guys are great.
Excellent as usual
Spectacular Rocking musical artwork 🎶🎵🎸🎵🎶 replaying it over and over on a long walk definitely fix’s 💔❤️🩹❤️🔥
Great Song! Love it!
Amazing
🤩
Sounds Great !
Excellent ! ♥
Hey it's a been a while since I've heard you and this is yet another amazing track. Love everything you's do. Any idea when your drummed is coming back as she's a great drummer.
This particular drummer they've got here sounds pretty good.
@@scottbreseke716 I'm not disputing that. Also the drums on this track could be a drum machine or possibly recorded by the drummer before she left to go to University or where ever it is she went for education.
@@MrRockstar1968no, it was not Mamie on drums. The album lists the drumming credits and she didn’t play on any of the studio tracks. I suspected Mollie may actually just have played drums on the studio tracks but that was not the case either.
2 great musicians with 4 very long legs! (they go allll the way to the floor!)
This hypertalented duo can not only play and sing, they can produce as well - the production on this chugging Blues Rock number is excellent. The melody and riff and earworm title/hookline make it irresistible. I don't think the slide guitar actually does anything for the song and straight fingerpicking would have worked better. Nevertheless it's a must for the playlist. My Score: Very Good 4*
I like the slide. It's like Bonnie Raitt.
I think that slide is what sets it apart from the other songs. It's very creative usage.
Love the slide. Any song with Mollie’s slide is a gift
