I loved this company and BMG, I was a member of both for about 15 years before they both went away. Helped me start my CD collection which today is 11,000 albums and still adding new stuff every week.
My first order of records in 1973 included Zep 4, Black Sabbath Master of Reality, Elton John Madman on the Water, Hendrix in the West, Jo Jo Gunne and Cat Stevens Teaser and the Firecat. I still have a few of these in excellent condition. I got my money's worth and started my record collection.
We were bad back then. Me and my brother and several friends all did it in a fake made up name. Interesting podcast, brought back memories. The local rock station was called the album station cause they played from the album not the single version and played an album un-interupted every night at midnight. If it was one we wanted the 8-track was ready to record. Now it's streaming.

Nice! Sounds like it was a good kickstart for your music collection. And some good ones too!
I was a member of the record club for a while as well, back on 69-70; thx for the memories
Thanks for tuning in Mike!
My dad used to order 8 track tapes like , Peter Frampton, Barry White, Rod Stewart, Atlantic Rythm Selection , etc …
Nice!

Glad you enjoyed it. Definitely a snapshot in time for music!
I joined CH in 1982 and if not for the low quality of some of these pressings I'd be quite happy.
Thanks for the comment!
