I don't need manufacturers to make special laptops for Linux. I don't even need them to write Linux drivers. Just open-source Windows drivers, and the Linux community will do the rest of the work. Why is it so hard for them?
greed. they almost definitely make more money if windows in installed on the computers, because they buy the licenses in bulk, and make profit on each sold, so the more they sell, the better
The macbook pro with m2 (which you called an older processor) shown there is a much better laptop that the tuxedo laptop with an i5 in almost all aspects but importantly performance and battery. And its very likely the macbook has a better screen, speakers, keyboard, trackpad, webcam all while still have a unix like command line. only downside I'd say is the ram which is usable with it being unified but still sometimes you just outright need more ram but you can probably get some good deals with 16gb ram now

Why can't manufacturers simply add a Linux or No OS option to existing laptops for less? I think Intel used to do that with their NUCs.

I have an old 2011 /2012 macbook pro and I put garuda linux on it, it runs much better than before.
@@billcarpenter5615 well ok maybe on old/limited hardware linux is still a better choice but we're talking about modern hardware here
Also 2011/2012 macbooks are not supported for years, which is probably not the case for the linux that the other commenter installed.@@kylebelle246
