As always we used important dialogue, relevant gameplay and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We recorded this on max settings on the Dolphin emulator. We hope you enjoy!
At the start of the game Alison is abducted by the Genetic Research and Security Organization (GRSO). As GRSO soldiers take her away, Mystique arrives with Blob and takes Alison from the soldiers.She is in turn rescued from Mystique and Blob by the X-Men Wolverine and Cyclops, who take her to the Xavier Institute to explore her powers. As Alison trains, the X-Men investigate an Alaskan research facility controlled by the Brotherhood of Mutants, then rescue Gambit from the Morlocks. They then try to stop the Brotherhood from rescuing Magneto from captivity aboard the U.S.S. Arbiter. Mystique is able to penetrate the defenses and free Magneto, and the ensuing damage caused by the Brotherhood leaves the X-Men to rescue several Arbiter crew members. With Magneto free and tense political culture, the X-Men have to fight both mutants and humans to try and save the world from destruction.

Funny story. I had originally bought X-Men 3 movie game. And in the box was X-Men legends. I was kinda disapointed until I played it, it became one of my favorites for ps2

@@khaos5085 that and Tony Jay,Magneto's voice actor for this game has long sence passed away. Which is a shame because he was one off the best in the industry for playing the villain.
Steve Blum will only be the one actor who I will always accept voicing Wolverine, for he is the best at what he does, and what he does is magnificent.
For real, he's like what Kevin Conroy is to Batman. And Christopher Daniel Barnes and Josh Keaton to Spider-Man. Fred Tatasciore to Hulk, and etc.

When I first started playing this game, I start putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. General Kincaid was the mastermind of this whole game: ordering his scientists to make the Astral Gate, striking a deal with the Shadow King to kidnap Illyana, using her as bait to have Professor X out of the way, experimenting on human hybrid machines of the next generation of Sentinels, and the creation of MasterMold.

Robert Deffenbaugh That's true who ever does the future movies needs to take the time to sit back and analyze the characters their personalities and roles right. There were alot of errors in the movies I wanted to see done right although my favorite are the first three movies from the early 2000s. I hope they make rogue the tough chick she is from the south, cast Cyclops in his role more and gives the other teammates their spotlight time. I hope the odds and ends pieces like rogue and mystique and nightcrawler are addressed as family too. I hope Jean is given her just due as a character with power and personality in the movies coming up and not some power trip person. This game was really special and unique and I loved playing it. It really showed the xmen and who they were.
Robert Deffenbaugh that would be way cool she makes a cameo in the original 3 movies in the first xmen movie. I love her character... my favorite is Jean though. id like to Magma and Scarlet witch in a movie along with wolfsbane and jubilee really shown

Xmen legends 3 anyone?
I'd fund it and have Quicksilver and Saberetooth as playable characters this time by default. No more mod crap or console requirements. Just full on available with Sabretooth having a healing factor active for gameplay and Quicksilver being able to move faster than the other characters with balanced stats.

I remember just randomly saying each characters dialogue in random situations. I’d laugh so hard when people are like wtf. There were some people that caught on and that was the best feeling ever!

Sadly, the first is still console only and no matter what I try emulating it is a bitch and a half. It works sorta on my Tiger Tier PC, but damn... it's just so janky.

Now that Marvel/Disney has got the X-movie rights, I really hope they stop "sabotaging" the X-men franchise. Marvel/Disney really needs to remaster this game (& it's sequel), for modern systems. And since this game is essentially the roots of "Marvel Ultimate Alliance", I'd like for them to release "X-men Legends 3", instead of coming out w/ more lackluster MUA games. While I don't mind the X-men appearing in other properties, I think they still deserve their own dedicated things (such as video games).
The first time I beat this game was with a busted analog stick, every time you took your finger off, your character suddenly started to run to the left.
And the only reason I even bothered in starting this game at all was because it was the only one, still to this day that I know of that allowed you to play Emma Frost.
God it's like the danger room exists only to malfunction
Which is especially ironic, considering it came alive as Danger. I'm not sure if that was ever retconned...

A couple of years ago I found out that if I use my Code Breaker I can have all the characters on level 99.
It was a very exciting moment in my life when I maxed out all the characters skills.
Gameshark and AR max have cheats for this ,too.
Gameshark's codes are similar to Codebreakers, while ARmax has specific codes for the initial 8 characters and a handful of other generic codes.
We really need these games back

This was better than Diablo 3 before Diablo 3 came out.
This had amazing voice acting before that was a standard.
This had replay value beyond compare with ZERO DLC.
This was BEFORE the MCU.
This allowed me to play as Mystique.

It's always struck me as very silly how everyone who adapts Wolverine to non-comic mediums always seems to focus on him saving/mentoring a girl. They took something he did like once in the comics, and made that his defining feature.

Can we just talk about the fact that X-Men Legends 1 and 2 and Ultimate Alliance 1 both use the Ultimate Universe as design and reference
Yet in Alliance 1 some characters are Ultimate in base costumes and some are not, also for example Nick Fury is 616 but Thor is Ultimate
But in Ultimate Alliance 2 it’s all regular and in Ultimate Alliance 3 it’s a whole new timeline
I guess it was a design choice to feel more modernized .. the funny thing is that Nick Fury was the black Ultimate Nick Fury in X-men Legends 1 and then they changed him in Ultimate Alliance. As far as im concerned it was supposed to be the same universe lol.

If I could remaster this, XML 2, and MUA 1 I would keep Allison as a playable character and protagonist. That way it would be easier to track the universe
