I love The Miniaturist - definitely give it another go. It's perfect for a cold day when you are snuggled up in a blanket with a hot drink! Also you are so cute in your first video - in mine, I act like my camera is a snake and is about to bite me.
This is fantastic, I don't normally watch reacting to my first video videos but I knew how positive and kind you could be to yourself ☺️ also the Mickey Mouse wallpaper is 😍😍😍
I loved it! I think I’ve been with you since the last apartment??? It’s been a fair few years now, so I can’t remember. I do know the Mickey Mouse walls were not involved, but I remember you talking about how they had been recently, so you had probably just moved. It’s amazing how you’ve changed so much and, like, not at all, hahahaha! I feel like that’s the dream. To grow and evolve, but keep your heart and soul. I’ve not mastered that one yet. I lose myself far too often. Love you! Thanks for sharing!
Ahhhhh so lovely!! Look how much you've grown in confidence 😊 I still have some of these books on my tbr... Patrick Ness, Helen Oyeyemi, we were liars... I've been here 3.5yrs now, so since your second flat x
Loved this video. I remember always loving that Mickey wallpaper! I’d be interested if maybe you could revisit your old best books of the year videos and see if you still feel the same or not. Hope you and David have a great week xo
I started watching you during (OG) Lockdown, and really watched a whole bunch of your videos. Your Cosy Night Reading Vlogs are my fave accompaniment for when I'm reading, so thank you for keeping me company, making me laugh and making me think (god forbid). You're just such a tonic ♥️
I’m more recent, but wish I’d known about booktube all those years! That was such a sweet visit to Lauren and the Books past! You are a star through and through! 💫 ❤️
This was fun! 🤗 I’ve been around for about two years, I think. Sometimes I take small pauses from Booktube, but I keep coming back. You are inspiring 😍
I've been subbed maybe for about a little over a year... I think...🤷♀️ maybe closer to 2. Anyway, I liked your personality,😁 and honest opinions. I believe our reading📖 tastes are a different, but that's what's so nice about this community of readers, I never know when someone speaking about something outside my favorite genre will spark an 🤔interest. 📚🥰📖📚
Aww that was lovely! It was really nice seeing how you started off on UA-cam. I only came across your channel after Covid struck the planet and your videos have been such a lovely discovery to have made, and comfort, during these crazy times
I remember that same Book People list because it’s how I got into booktube as a viewer years ago. I watched a lot of videos by American booktubers that mainly focused on YA to start with. Then I started to find more UK based channels from Sanne, Jean, Jen, Mercedes, you and Simon xx
How adorable! Even though you were a little nervous I think you had the “it factor” from the start! I found you I guess 2ish years ago and felt connected to you from the first video. Digging that Mickey wallpaper but shocked the landlord let you use it on a rental haha! It’s that charming personality of yours Lauren! xx
This was so charming, YOU are so charming. Watching your videos has been such a lovely part of my world for years now, and I’m so grateful you decided to “make a go of it” 💛
I love seeing the bits that are exactly how you speak now and yet you were so different. I started watching Booktube in 2018, so I’ve probably never seen anything from your early days.
Ahhhh love this! You were clearly a pro from the start. 🤩🤩 I’ve been watching since the second flat. Very interesting to see how your reading tastes have changed.
I came across you when you were in the second flat but then went back and watched all your previous videos from the first one. I realised our tastes were similar and you liked cosiness, blankets, tea and cats so have stayed for the long haul 😄
What a lovely video. I'm so curious as to how your opinions have changed, like with Wonder. I'm a much more recent viewer. I never even knew booktube existed till the start of this year. I've been watching your Vlogmas series' and have been loving them x
This was so fun and cute! I've only been here for a year when I learned about cozy reading night via Instagram I think! A Monster Calls is the Ness you're looking for. It's the only one of his that I've read. It's funny you say you don't read much YA but John Green is like king of YA! Lol. Or was at the time. Landline was Rainbow Rowell's first adult novel actually. Did you ever end up reading Eleanor & Park? It's a bit on the problematic list nowadays.
This was so fun! I remember finding your channel when you were at that flat and being interested in Patrick Ness and Rainbow Rowell and everyone as well. Thank god booktube has expanded since then 😅❤️
I am also not a big fan of Matt Haig. "The Midnight Library" earned 4 1/2 stars on Goodreads, but I was not impressed with the writing nor the storyline.
I do remember the wallpaper !!!!! Wow, time flies.

I think I've been here maybe three + years which seems crazy. Yours was one of the first booktube channels I found.
How have I never heard of Reading the World??? I LOVE nonfiction . I need to add that to my wishlist!!!!!
I have been watching you for about 4 years and when I first started I did go backward and watch a lot (if not all) of the 2 years I missed.
I’ve been here for since your second flat where you sat by the window, lovely times 🥰

I am new to finding out about booktube. Just started watching in May I believe. It is always fun to watch you guys react to old videos.
So fun! I’ve been here since lockdown no 1 and have really loved watching your channel since then!
Been here since the Mickey wall and enjoyed every minute of it! ❤️
What do you mean you haven't mastered it? You're a natural now.
This was fun! It's interesting that you spoke about We Were Liars in your first video and now it is really popular again!
I just loved watching this x

Only just arrived but very interested in what you are recommending I have made my list for September :)

I think I've been here since the Mucky Mouse wallpaper. You were one of the first booktubers I ever followed 😍
This was great. I loved the Mickey wallpaper! ❤️

You actually look younger now than you did then! Really enjoyed seeing the video and "I'm looking forward to" more! 😆😆📚
Such a fun reaction video, I already find one year a big change - must seem surreal looking back a few years 😅
Awww. You did so well. You certainly have made a good go of it. 💚

What an interesting way to look back and see how your channel started. Loved it!
Such a lovely video, I celebrate the old you and the new you. Think I’ve been watching from the beginning. Keep being fab!
Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi is really good !

Aw lovely!! I remember the wallpaper! ❤️
Yes I remember the wallpaper. It was great
Lauren from 6 years ago reminds me of the comedian Sarah Millican! How cute was your first video 😊 Loved watching along with you x
I came across you when you were in the second flat but then went back and watched all your previous videos from the first one. I realised our tastes were similar and you liked cosiness, blankets, tea and cats so have stayed for the long haul 😄
Ahh Lauren you look so different!! I love videos like this! Can I ask why you changed your mind about Wonder so much? x
This was brilliant Lauren ❤️

Loved this video. I’ve gone back through quite a few of your old videos, found you during lockdown last year. Would love to see you revisit more 😃
I have been here since the Mickey Mouse wall :)

Cute as a button. Recent.
You're much less diplomatic these days and thank goodness - love opinionated Lauren 😂😂
