Clean setup, I like how there's no visible space on the sides of the box when looking into the trunk from inside. I have the same car with two 12"s. Its louder with the subs facing the back of the car, trunk closed, and only the driver side window down.
When I had my passat I was loudest with trunk closed, rear windows up and front windows down with all doors closed...I should have gotten a demo from him at that show but that was my first time ever going to a big show
Most of my builds has been loudest that exact way up until my latest build

Dope setup. Personal opinion but he should have used a Scar amp. Their amps hit hard.
That looks really nice can't wait to get mine fully set up maybe make it look fancy like that but I got a hatchback so it might have to do a lot of homework

Those have to. be SVR D4's... I'm running 2 12" EVL's and only about 3k to the 5k they can handle at 1 ohm and they beat my 2011 Quest up... 138db before upgrading mids, now 150"s. COME TO DETROIT JACOB!!

I just got a pair of SVR-10 D4. They're going into a Honda Odyssey in a prefab box that's about 2 cf each chamber, powered by a Skar RP-1500.
Gonna sound decent for what it is
@@oscarcastro2282 I had a pair of SDR-10 D4 in that box for two years and they banged hard. I know these have to be way louder.
@@davidnievesjr.9478 Just keep in mind if you're going to use the same amp you might not notice a difference in sound. Even though the subs are rated for more power. If you want louder you need a bigger amp.
@@oscarcastro2282 I got you. The RP-1500 is new to me. The old amp was 1,400 watts RMS. It did the job but it always felt like it was lacking. This new one should move these new subs.
@@davidnievesjr.9478 The SVR's are a really decent improvement from the SDR's and the EVLs are an almost similar bump up from those. I had a 2011 Jetta SE with 2 SKv23500s pair with 2 12" VXFs, but I started with the basic 12" SDR/RP2000 combo and went through each line. Most people would be happy with the SVRs and they are much more robust than the SDRs in terms for quality and reliability. Ive blown 4 SDRs....I have yet to blow anything else.
And definitely not zvx’s still clean though

Not DDX either svr's. I have 2 DDX 10's on my Skar 1500 and they KNOCK.
I had one ddx 12 and for some reason the pressure hurt my ears and the bass didn't sound good. I went with Alpine Type X, sounds good but DDX had some better SPL and was louder.
@@Contact_Info Your box matters more than anything else, the tuning and space requirements of the sub are most likely your issue. The Skar series subs like boxes tuned in the low 30hz. My guess is that your box is tuned higher than 40hz.
That isn't a custom box - You can see the side pieces screwed on to the front of the basic enclosure.
This is the same type setup that is done for people wanting infinite baffle setups.
Nothing new here folks.
Evl’s are the most inefficient subwoofers by skar.
