@@emti29I'm bout as average as it gets when it comes to COD, been playing it since like '08. I have 2 nukes to my existence and it didn't happen until this knife-craze blew up and I gave it a try super-late into MW2019. Dropped 2 nukes in the same week and seem to get very close anytime I find myself using a knife. I'm saying the skill is as minimal as running around blindly spamming the melee button, cuz that's all I did.
@@kenmorris8219then you misunderstood it. The skill in knifing comes from using throwing knives, taking 1v6’d in SND, hitting feeds, trickshots. NOT using a shield. That’s the skill. I agree running around aimlessly getting lucky doesn’t take skill. Map knowledge and knowing where people are and using throwing knives only does.
@@MurchKnives It's not so much luck, but definitely not so much skill. I only got the idea cuz I'd see other players swinging a knife like a madman and have players get sucked into the stab animation. Gave it a shot and sure enough, u can barge into any room and cut the whole team down without worry. It's almost like the old "commando" perk is active on knives. The shield has just become the general safety blanket, cuz half the players I see are rocking the turtle shell anyways.

I love the excuse that "using melees don't take skill". Let's think about the actual military real quick. If someone in the military went up to the frontlines with only a knife and f**ked everyone up, I think that's pretty damn skill full. Now, let's look at the game. The game filled to the brim with maps that everyone knows, a game filled with campers, and a game where a majority of the guns are completely busted. I would think that running around with just a knife is pretty skillful.

who tf cares if it makes 0 sound? you're either dead the second they get to you, or good enough to kill them before they kill you. the melees would have to be an insta kill, or just really fast because you're in a game with movement gods who can end up killing you from 2 inches away without knowing they're there. it's skillful. if you're bad, just say so.

With the new movement, it's very difficult to hit knifers. The only gun I found somewhat effective were the shotguns.
