I watched a lot (like A LOT) of polygel videos on youtube and you're the first I see mentioning the brush cleaning process. That's really important, thank you for that! Awesome video btw
I've done 2 sets with this kit and I haven't quite gotten them right. I was excited to see you did a review and demo! Now I realize I've been using too much gel and making them too thick. Yours look gorgeous and natural!
@@gabriellepinard3123 she used a light. She just didn't show it...she said she cured and removed the forms. Not sure why she didn't show it...thats a big step.
I have been watching all sorts of videos on polygel application and I have to say yours is definitely the best! Not entirely sure what some people are doing in their videos, and whenever someone overclips their cuticle and actually cuts the eponychium as well it makes me cringe. Loved your video and you explained what you were doing and why so well. Can't wait to get my polygel kit now!
Oh my gosh I’ve been doing the wrong thing and I was wondering why they were popping off it was because I didn’t apply the basecoat I’m so mad at myself, thank you so much for posting this
I just bought this set and I came looking for a video just to make sure I don't mess them up. You did such a good job on your nails and the video! Very helpful!
yay! I'm so glad you posted a review on this! your videos are super helpful & full of great info especially now that I'm trying to decide between a polygel and dip powder nail kit!
Just bought the same kit! I’m excited! 😆💕 Edit: I got it...and I love it!! I have no experience with anything that has to do with polygel or acrylic! The first day I only did my left hand, it’s took 4+ hours no lie! The next day I did my right and it came out wayyyy betterrr then my left hand! It will get sticky everywhere but you’ll get use to it and get cleaner and better with time, but do not rush!!! My favorite colors: dark pink and natural pink ;D
I did my first set today and they look decent! Not nearly as hard as I thought but I think a handheld UV or LED light would be better than the ones you stick your hand in to. I found it hard to get the forms to fit in my lamp without them shifting or popping up. The color is just a bit uneven and there’s some bubbles here and there but nothing you’d notice unless you were right up on them. If you’re scared to try this like I was, don’t be! They’re really easy once you get the technique down (:
I have this kit and I had a terrible time trying to apply the dual forms without making a mess. I am practising and getting there. It's a good product though. You did a lovely job!
I had a terrible time too. I made such a mess and gel sticking all over the place. I'm going to keep practicing to so I don't have to spend so much money at the salon. Great product once you learn how to do it
I love how natural you made your nails look like with the polygel. Thanks for reviewing this product. I have purchased the Makartt set and will be rewinding this video several times as I try it out this weekend. ❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Use a 180 grit file and buff off top coat gloss. Use 100% polish remover to soak 10 min Use a wooden cuticle stick to push off polygel that is gooey. Repeat if needed until all off. Wash hands & put cuticle oil on.
Andi’s Nails, buff top of nails to allow penetration of product, then use *100% acetone* on cotton balls or cotton pads places on top of the nail, then with the saturated cotton sitting on your nail you wrap the tip of your finger with either aluminum foil or nail polish clips to soak the nails in the 100% acetone soaked on the cotton. Regular nail polish remover (even 100% nail polish remover whatever that means) will NOT work. It has to say 100% acetone. That will work. It will not take 5 min. It will take a little longer. Be patient. It will come off eventually. You may have to rehydrate your cotton ball with acetone if it dries out.
I have this kit, The dual forms do not work for me. Instead I bought the sticky forms to go under my nails while I put the polygel on top and that made doing my nails 100% easier
@@missestomlinson99 basically dual forms are what you see in the video. You put the product in, press it on your nails, cure it, and then pop them off. Sticky forms or paper forms are what is normally used for acrylic and builder gel. You have to peel the forms off the paper like a sticker, and there’s a hole where you put the paper forms under the nail, the stick the ends together kinda forming a cone like shape, then you use the produce to build the nail extension on top of your natural nail and pale form to extend it, cure it, and then peel the paper forms off. I hope that makes sense!☺️
@@jadeklein5170 it was stickier than I expected 😅. But do NOT put too much slip solution or alcohol otherwise it wouldn’t stay on your nails, just get the brush damp and not sopping wet.
