- Alright, another request by my buddy Shawn. \w/
I've always dug STP but really never took the time to learn the songs. Boy, was I wrong... So much good stuff packed in these tunes! Not only are they great songs, but the playing is phenomenal. The drums are always in the pocket, Rob's bass lines are just sublime, and Dean comes up with these really cool jazz chord voicings which are sweet. I need to learn more STP stuff so I can learn more about these voicings. It's just so great to learn.
I recorded myself twice and mixed them together to make the sound bigger. I messed up a few times here and there but I think the solo is as close as I could get from listening to it. I love being able to slow down songs on UA-cam to learn songs, that's how I learned this solo. If anyone wants a lesson on just that, I could come up with something because I don't think anyone has it quite right. I might not, either, but I think it sounds pretty close. Let me know. Until then, enjoy! \m/
Dean DeLeo is a rockers introduction to jazz chords. Very underrated
Why does every douche clown on UA-cam think that successful artists they like are underrated ?
Well put
Criminally underrated
Genius!
I hear a bit of Page in his playing
No one ever does the end of the solo right lol this was great, loved it bro!
Thank you! Yeah, that part of the solo is definitely the hardest to nail down.
@@chewybang you freaking nailed it though haha also that shirt is killer man 😂 🤘

Love the humour too. Brilliant!
Quent in England. Rock On !! 🤓
Thanks so much, Jill! Cheers!
@@chewybang You’re very welcome. Actually YTube account in my wife’s name but I ( Quent ) am the one who uses it, for my bass playlists etc.
Good luck. Best STP stadium gig I play along to is Rolling Rock 2000 or 2001? Great audio, boozy blurry images but crowd shots and crowd volume
perfect as if you were there. You may have seen it ( Plush and Trippin on a hole vid great tracks to watch ). Link to follow.
STP vid ua-cam.com/video/nkChNJ_fd_s/v-deo.html Cheers. Quent.
@@jillrichardson154 right on, Quent (sorry about calling you the wrong name, my bad)
I will definitely check it out.
@@chewybang No worries at all , just for info. Enjoy the vid. Even better after a few beers! 🍻
Cool solo
Love it
Robert Deleo was a great guitar player love me some old school STP still one of my favorite concerts
I have to agree, I got to see them a few times and one time Scott was totally on his game, and is probsbly one of the best shows I have ever seen. I wish the new incarnation still rocked, but they instead went full on acoustic it seems.
@@lorenmorgan1931 The new line-up still rocks. Here's a full show they did that's recorded fantastically: ua-cam.com/video/Ybyk1NzLGs0/v-deo.html
@@MrBrawl Funny you comment today, I am actually in the process later today setting up a Marshall with a Vox to attempt to get Deans sound. Will totally watch that show while I am hooking it all up! Thanks! :)
The song was written by the drummer
🔥
Nice!
Excellent
Oh man, what a perfect cover!!! Any chance for some type of lesson/tab for the solo? Thanks!
Hey, I just saw your post. I'll work on something for the solo since that is the most difficult part of this song.
Killer bro
Great cover!
Thanks Salvatore!
Nice cover bro 😎 💪
Thanks Felipe!
😀 bad a$& Bro 😀
🤟
Nice
Well done! Son! ✌
Thanks so much, dad! 🤘
Awesome man! I just can't seem to get those chords to sound right through my rig, they sound like a big mess.
Dude I love that shirt lol
Good eye!
Fucking awesome, mate. Yeah, that's it...no more to say. Bang on. Dave in Manchester, England.
Cheers, Dave! Much appreciated, mate.
Great job! But it wasn't very nice to steal Brian Mays wig !
LoL , just kidding......this was awesome as is your May - Do
Hahaha, i wish I would have stolen his talent, though.
@@chewybang yes Dr May is amazing!
p90s for the win.
rig??? amp, pedals? awesome mate!!! greetings from argentina
Gracias Mario! I'm going straight into a Jet City Amps JCA 20h head, paired with a 2x12 Marshall cab. Just using a little bit of dirt on the head, no pedals at all. Recorded it with my Galaxy Note 10+ phone, no mic.
#sticky_gene
Prince Buzzo
Haha, yes! I'll take it!
how do you get this tone!!
Gibson Les Paul Double cut with P90s going through a Jet City Amps 20 watt JCA22H head and a Marshall 2x12 cab. Recorded through a phone mic.
$5 this dude is a guitar teacher at a music shop.
Haha, I can't teach worth crap. I'm still learning myself! You owe me $5 🤣
@@chewybang damn it
With hair like that I was expecting a song like Honey bucket or Night Goat
Haha, I get it. I did Honey Bucket when I was testing that same amp a few years back.
@@chewybang clearly it’s an awesome amp. It still holds up to rock out this song!
Jet City amps, best bang for your buck right there.
I'm not gay but you have a beautiful head of hair
Me, neither, but I'll take it! Thanks.
