- Turn a Raspberry Pi into a relaxing high-tech white noise machine for drowning out unwanted sounds. A great starter project because it can be made with minimal parts and you can add more features at any time by adding additional parts. In this video, we even build one into an old 1980s table radio. The device has a built in web server for remote browser control and for uploading additional sounds and images!
Project repository: github.com/ala... - it has more technical details about how to build one.
I am loving your videos. One project along a similar line that I have been thinking building is an updated boom box. Take an old stereo boom box and upgrade the speakers, amplifier, and add a screen/bluetooth etc. So you have the aesthetics of an old 80s or 90s boombox but with much better performance etc.
Great idea, you should try it!
Thanks for the video. It's given me the 'missing link' idea for a bed-time podcast player I've been planning. I have been thinking over how to manage auto-off and backward seek when I'm half-asleep. Your audio loop-by-button trigger design made me realize that I could just have a playback button which auto-offs after 10 minutes or so, and another back-seek button which jumps back by 1 minute on each press (to find where I fell sleep the night before) then plays from that point. Instead of looping, playback would be through a multi-file playlist managed from an internal web server. Simple enough, but the automated off, seek time as part of the button press and internal web server file management didn't occur to me until I saw this video 😀
I'm glad the video gave you some ideas, sounds good!
Thanks for your content, really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for watching!
