Halloween on Elm Street? I imagine Michael Myers suddenly talking to Freddy Krueger saying can we get her? 😂😂😂😂
Tony Todd, who played Candyman, also played the coroner in the Final Destination movies.
You should've mentioned that Janet Leigh (the shower victim from "Psycho") was the mother of Jamie Lee Curtis!
I was coming to say this. Also Janet Leigh plays Jamie's secretary in one of the Halloween movies. The music from Psycho plays as she walks to her car, the same one from Psycho that was sunk by Nornan Bates.
Janet Leigh also appears in Halloween H20 with Jamie Lee Curtis.
& should’ve mention that Candyman & Pinhead (Hellraiser) are both from Clive Barker. Also that Carrie & Jack Torrance (The Shinning) are both from Stephen King books
@@SeanOG88 that's the one I was referring to, I just didn't remember the name🙂 so thankyou.
I'd be surprised if the segment producer even knew this
”Halloween on Elm Street”. That would be a plot twist and a half 🤣
Halloween on elm Street last house on the left 😅
Everybody thinks that they can take Chucky. The thing is he's supernatural. He has the strengh of a regular guy is a doll body. He's fast, agile and has a high pain toleraance. Everytime the curse is reset or his body is rebuild he only starts feeling pain after some hours and can only be killed by destroying his heart.
Thirteen ghosts was a classic it doesn't get enough credit .it took a lot of horror movies and turned it into one .
Are you talking about the original castle movie from the 50s or the remake
@@hellhound1389 Probably the remake from the early 00s. I don't think the original holds up.
@@BrokenNoah I'd say it holds up as a masterpiece of showmanship. Sadly, not everyone has seen it with the ghost viewers. Some VHS and DVD releases had the ghostviewers.
Carrie was a story about bullying and revenge. Just in case these kids don't know that.
I will never see Carrie as the bad guy like in the other films.
"Halloween On Elm St." May be the FUNNIEST thing I have heard all year so far!! LMFAO!!
then Carrie s Diaries instead of Carrie, wtf
Michael Krueger on a hockey mask killing teenagers with a machete made of butcher knives in their dreams on Halloween night …
One, two, Freddy coming for you. Three, four better lock your door. Five, six, grab a crucifix. Seven, eight better stay up late. Nine, ten, never sleep again.
That's my ringtone
"He's just a fan of chinese medicine." really got me. LMFAO!!! 🤣
Pinhead is the most horrific of them all, and I am so off put by the fact that they didn't explain how he kills you and just showed them joking about him.
Yeah, i don’t think anyone knew what masochism was cuz the zenobytes are by far the most horrific horror villains
None of them would last against pinhead, they would all get dismembered and dissembled
Yea, Cenobites are legit the most scary and gruesome of all of these icons
I've seen every scary movie with every single villain and none of it is even scary enough for me they need some new tactics or something
@@LeeToucheck-pm3oosame 😈
"HALLOWEEN ON ELM STREET!!!!" she was so sure too
Jayka saying how we all feel edited in right after lol
17:00 when Hannibal uses the pepper spray on the cop he’s just seasoning his food
Fun fact: Jamie Lee's mom was the woman being attacked in the shower scene in Psycho. 😊
The thing with Chucky is that despite being a doll, he still has the strength and speed of an adult male in his 30s because that's when he transferred his soul.
He’s also aided by Damballa’s power.
@@montyhux9757 That too.
*Why it wasn't mentioned that "Hellraiser" was written & directed by English novelist Clive Barker and is based on his 1986 story "The Hellbound Heart".....?* 🤔
I’m so sad they didn’t mention that Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween is the daughter of Janet Leigh the lady in psycho.
That's Sir Anthony Hopkins. Also, the actor who played The Creature From The Black Lagoon did the diving without any scuba gear. Sometimes holding his breath for up to two and a half minutes.
Fun fact: The actress in the shower scene from Pyscho is Jamie Lee Curtis's mother, Janet Leigh, and that's how she got cast in Halloween.
A few Horror Nerd points to bring up:
-Freddy Krueger gets his powers from Dream Demons. And his upbringing made him into the psycho he is.
-Chucky has his inhuman strength due to voodoo magic. Also, why when possessing people with inactive limbs, those limbs then work again under his control. Cause voodoo magic.
-IT has many names besides "Pennywise" and is technically a trans-dimensional god of death. Whom, is hinted to not have been defeated by the losers' club in other books.
-Jack Torrence is technically POSSESSED by the Overlook Hotel. Which was activated by Danny's "Shining".
-And if you want a deeper delve into Hannibal, you should check out the TV Series.
Maybe next time you want to bring up Horror, go get CZ from CZ'sWorld UA-cam channel.
People even though chucky is a doll he still has the strength of a human thats why people struggle with him
Probably why Chucky Cheese doesn’t exist anymore
They’re nothing against the power of the great Damballa.
Creature from the Black Lagoon was the first 3D movie I ever saw. That movie came out in the 50s but I saw it on TV one time with the red and blue glasses. My dad was really into the Universal creature movies. Frankenstein, Dracula, Invisible Man, etc..
Took my nieces to see it in 3-d about 5 years ago. They really liked it!
REACT Producer, how could you NOT mention the fact that Shelley Duvall’s reaction in THE SHINING was completely authentic? She wasn’t given the details of that scene so that they could get a genuine response from her. 🤨
Because the video is about the horror icon, not it's victims. Come on now. Please tell me you're smarter than this.
Hannibal Lecter wasn't even the real villain in Silence of the Lambs. Buffalo Bill was. Clarice was using Hannibal to find Buffalo Bill. She didn't know that he was using her to escape, though. Buffalo Bill was more terrifying than Hannibal.
Good thing this wasn't about villains. It's about horror icons.
11:55 the look on her face when she hears Kobe Bryant used to listen Halloween to hype himself for a game 😂. The power horror movies have on people.
Was going to say I wonder if they know the woman in Physco was Jaime Lee Curtis' Mom, but they probably don't know Jaime either lol
😂😂 I love how innocent Paulina is....and how big brotherly Jaxon is...(explaining while teasing lol)
💜🖤💜
2:17 This is why Alfred Hitchcock decided to film this scene the way he did. If there's one place in a house where you're completely and utterly helpless, it's the bathroom. No defense, no weapons, completely nekkid. Unless you really know how to defend yourself, and are comfortable fighting naked, you're completely screwed.
Well... that and because it occurs in the shower in the book the movie's based on
@@andrewgilbert4659 Well hell! You learn something new every day. Never knew there was a book before the movie.
@@timisme8360 Hitchcock is a great director, but a bunch of his works come from book adaptations. Oftentimes it's Daphne Du Maurier, but this particular one is from Robert Bloch (who also wrote a couple sequels to the first book installment of Psycho, which the film sequels are not related to)
And if those kids don't know it Tim Curry was the guy who played the original Pennywise.
Tim was more terrifying than Bill somehow
@@TheDopekitty I agree
Creature from the black lagoon is a classic✨💗one of my fav black and white films that I grew up watching with my dad🩵he showed me all black and white films like the blob, the birds, abott and Costello meet Frankenstein, invisible man, the mummy, etc. All classics💗💗💗
No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering
In The Shining, they had to use a real door because Jack Nicholson used to be a fireman and went through the prop doors too easily
"When I'm in the shower, I'm afraid to wash my hair. 'Cause I might open my eyes and find someone standing there.
People say I'm crazy, just a little touched. But maybe showers remind me of Psycho too much" - Rockwell
That’s crazy that only Jaxon knew who Candyman was.
13:49. Fun fact: The actress playing Helen was actually under hypnosis that whole scene, they brought in a real hypnotist to set and put her under hypnosis during the scenes where she was supposed to be hypnotized so it could look and feel more authentic. She said it was the most horrible feeling ever and the back-to-back hypnosis caused her to have nightmares, it got to the point where she began refusing to go under.
No mention that Jamie Curtis (Halloween) is the daughter of Janet Leigh (woman killed in Psycho)?
Oh really I didn’t no that but that’s cool
the way that Jaxon explaining the movies is giving young old man
I was surprised they put in The Creature From The Black Lagoon. That's a forgotten OG by my generation. He's such a horror movie icon like Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf Man, The Invisible Man; just to name a few. But he was probably my favorite one. They should have thrown in The Invisible Man just to see if they would get it. It's where Mark Hamill found inspiration for The Joker's iconic laugh
This is definitely a boomer generation movie. As a kid in the 70’s my parents would let us watch these movies like The Blob which scared the shit out of me. However, Poltergeist and The Exorcist were far far scarier.
10:15 The ignorance towards the Hell Priest is astounding.
It's funny that Paulina called Carrie "The Carrie Diaries" because the book kind of reads like a diary/journal, as well as newspaper articles.
Jaxon is us in this video
Jacksons oassive aggressive comments to Paulina the entire time 😂😂😂😂😂 "Your killing these, I love the run downs", "jaws, jaws, its jaws. Not jaws?" "Youre killing it" 😂😂😂😂
I love how knowledgeable Jaxon was. Every video I like him more and more
Nothing beats Tim Curry's portrayal of Pennywise. His voice is so iconic and recognizable.
Paulina just being loud and wrong is killing me😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
She really was loud. She really annoyed me here.
Thinking CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON was gonna be JAWS is interesting since JAWS was in part inspired by it, including this scene.
Freddy kills all the kids of the parents who killed him as revenge.
jaxon’s level of knowledge on media be it music cartoons movies and the likes, never ceases to amaze me urg so much respect for this boy
#10 FUN FACT: Because Jack Nickolas was once a Fire Chief, they had to use a REAL DOOR and not a prop because of his training he would DESTROY the prop doors in 1 take.
candyman is played by tony todd, who also has made appearances on the final destination franchise...as well as various podcasts....and yes his voice is like melted butter
Where's Jason? One of the Greatest Horror Villains Ever!!
What I love is how Jaxon knew damn near all of them and was giving her so many clues & hints to guide her to get the movie. The more I watch videos with him in them the more I wonder if he's my long lost son I never had lol. He's a gamer, knows his horror movies, knows his nu-metal/alternative/metal/rock music and is goofy/nerdy/awkward in a good way (all apply to me lol)
Michael, Jason, Freddie... she wanted them to be more creative with names? These are normal names... that is the point. These could be anyone.
Best of these is Freddie. The idea is awesome. The horror is on point. AND there is a ton of comedy. It just hits all the major points.
The "pins" in Pinhead's head are actually nails. They were going to use regular pins, but they didn't show up very well on screen, so they kept changing it, and finally nails did the trick.
'Does GenZ Know These Horror Icons?!'
Narrator: The answer...was "no".
11:35 You want to talk about looking like a baby ... Jennifer Aniston, from the original Leprechaun movie. Her first role ever.
I’m surprised they didn’t include Jason or the leprechaun. Instead, they put in Creature From the Black Lagoon. They could have made the video longer to include more classics like Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein.
Jamie Lee Curtis mom (Janet Leigh) is the girl in the shower on Psycho movie...
PS: Nice to see someone from Brazil in the team...
Chucky is great, thats why ppl love the character lol
I remember seeing Hellraiser, I was only seven. It didn't really scare me, but the imagery stayed with me for a few years.
In high school we actually watched Nightmare on Elm Street and then discussed it in our Theater class. I guess what I am saying is that I grew up with these horror classics. The Alfred Hitchcock movies and The Pit and The Pendulum are some of my favorites.
I’m sorry I don’t understand when people say old Pennywise was scarier. He was funny, not scary imo.
Freddy has the best one liners and just iconic in every way.
Pinhead not actually his name, it is The Hellpriest. Pinhead was just the common vernacular that Clive Barker hated. In some of the books it was actually used as a name to ridicule The Hellpriest..
Also cenobite is See-nuh-bite.
chucky made me throw all my dolls away
I read something about how when tony tod was on set for the final destination movies his voice creeped the cast out so much that they had to distance themselves from him even when he would just say "hi" or run lines with them. But i heard that aside from his creepy voice hes a really cool guy
"A nightmare on Elmstreet" was my first horror movie. I remember the part where Johnny Depp got k1lled by Freddy Krueger. "It" 1990 was my 2nd horror movie and "Scream 1" and " I know what you did last summer" my 3rd and last one. 😂
You bring up that you had multiple Stephen King adaptations, but missed that Clive Barker was behind both Hellraiser and Candyman.
Fun Fact: The woman in Candyman looks to be in a trance be cause she was actually hypnotize. The director just had to say a keyword to put her under.
Wow, that's insane.
They should see the end of the first Hellraiser to see a little bit of what the Cenobites actually do to their victims.
Hellraiser was severely misrepresented.
REACT
I knew that you put both mother and daughter icons of Horror Movies: Janet Leigh (Psycho) and Jaime Lee Curtis (Halloween).
Interesting fact that John Carpenter based Michael Myers from his trip with other students from local college to mental hospital. At the hospital, John noticed young boy with no soul and dark creepy eyes staring. In beginning scene, young Michael staring evil look as his parents comes home horrified.
Everyone guessing Jason and he's not even in the episode 😂
Don’t lemme be the only 1 who grew up rooting for Freddy Kruger like he was a superhero.
I loved him when I was little because my cool uncle looked like him and family would teasingly call him Freddy Krueger so I genuinely believed Freddy Krueger was my uncle 💀
You're not alone! Freddy has always been my #1 horror icon!
2:11 fun fact: the blood in this scene is chocolate syrup because it was the right blood consistency going down the drain in a black and white movie also the actress is Janet Leigh who is Jamie Lee Curtis's mother. Jamie Lee Curtis is in the Halloween franchise.
I think Gen Z and even younger millennials have a difficult time understanding the older movies because they don't know how to put themselves back in those times. Like Psycho was "scary" because it was scary for the time. Same thing for the Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was scary for the time.
Yeah, I don't these younger ones understand the impact these horror movies have truly had. Which is a shame.
Jamie Lee mother was in the shower scene 😢 in pyho
I really wish Candyman was explained better. Cuz they didn't get it. That and Hellraiser.
HOW THE HELL U KEEP OUT THE KING OF SLASHERS JASON VORHEES??
It's funny how they ask about Pinhead using his needles on other people, because in the third movie "Hell on Earth," there's one scene in the chapel and he's standing at the altar. He pulls out two of the needles from his head (taking a little membrane with them) and sticks them into his own hands before mimicking the crucifix and saying "I am the way."
It's a really iconic scene from the third movie.
Hell on Earth is my favorite sequel in the Hellraiser franchise. It's such a weird and fun time.
That was the last great movie of the franchise!
A horror icon list without Jason Voorhees?!
Do you mean Jason of Pamela, the villian of the first Friday The 13th film?
Jason Voorhees is my favorite slasher and let's put some respect on Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal Lecter.
I'm honestly surprised no one has remade The Creature from the Black Lagoon. It's such an underrated movie, and back in the day it spawned two sequels.
I don't think I have ever seen a Candyman movie (at least not all the way through) and I'm even more sure my parents haven't either, but to this day every time we talk about Tony Todd we will refer to him as Candyman first before we refer to him by his name.
And yes, he has an excellent voice.
Carrie was one of John Travolta's first movies.
Can't they get some host that has seen at least ONE of these movies and does not read everything from some paper?
They missed the best part of Silence of the Lambs. The ambulance scene.
Man spoiler alert for psycho you weren’t supposed to give the whole thing away…the ending was a huge shock back then! 😂 great classic though
Spoiler for a movie that was released almost 64 years ago.
@@robertalter3186 exactly but not everyone’s seen it as we see here 🤣
I still see so many reactors who don’t know this story and it’s awesome seeing them figure it out or be shocked by the ending.
love how Jaxon knew every single one 😂
Both versions of The Shining movie were excellent! The original and again the newer mini series. Even the book and movie Doctor Sleep, which is a continuation of the story following Danny Torrance as an adult, were awesome. If you haven't guessed, I'm a huge Stephen King fan. I have almost all of his books and movies.
As a kid I would read all his books, but never really watched his movies until my early teens. Cujo, Christine, Pet Sematary, Carrie, The Dark Tower series, The Stand, Tommyknockers, It. I read pretty much all of them until the late 90’s when his material started focusing more on mystery and thriller genres instead of plain horror.
Do these people live under rocks?!! How do they not know Freddy and Nightmare on elm street seeing as they have attempted to remake it several times.. same for Halloween I swear they make them act this dumb…
Gen Z doesn't like watching movies. They dont have the attention span for it.
I love when complete newbies see Chucky for the first time, and they think they could beat him. But in actuality they wouldn't last 3 minutes lol
I mean Jaxon was trying his best to help her out. Good effort.
It's sad when they don't know these obvious horror legends. Freddy's story mentioned is correct, he sought vengeance on the children of the parents' who murdered him and has cursed anyone living on Elm Street in their dreams. Looks like Hypnocil would've helped them.
The Shining is one of my all time favorite movies
"No beer and no tv make Homer something something..."
Gimme the bat, Marge, gimme the bat
go crazy...
DON'T MIND IF I DO!!!
I still remember when Anthony Hopkins won his Academy Award. He was alter doing interviews for the press and someone asked him "what would Hannibal Lecter say about all of this. Hopkins went right into character and told them "I would like to have all of you over for dinner!!!!" LMFAO
14:21 "Emerging only when someone utters his name 5 times before a mirror and is subsequently stung by a bee" 🤔 Have you seen the movie? He kills with the hook, people aren't stung by a bee!! 🤣 Tony Todd was also in "Final Destination" his voice is creepy!
And he worked as an extra (casted as the Museum Guard) in another classic horror fantasy film - "Wishmaster (1997)"
he was also in a movie called hatchet alongside kane hodder, robert englund, and in the sequel danielle harris.
She's not talking about the movie character Candyman. She talking the urban legend of Candyman.
@@maplenerd22 I think you should fix your comprehension... OP explicitly mentioned the actor Tony Todd being present in "Final Destination"
@@tophattopper6361 @saturn2fire I've only seen "Candyman" & "Final Destination" 😂 He was also in an episode of "Criminal Minds". I'm done now. 🤣
Stephen King hated the Stanley Kubrik version of The Shining. That's why the made for tv version in the 90s came out.
And that version did a helluva lot more at establishing Jack's preexisting struggle with alcoholism and the negative effect it's had on the family
I like it better storywise, and think Steven Webb is underrated as a performer (which I use rather than just "actor" because his professional narration on audiobooks has many great performances)
"You can tell he's not even hitting her.."
Bruh, leave Psycho alone. It's from 1960 lmao.
The remake with Vince Vaughn (late '90s) is even more laughably bad with the stabbing scene 😂
They could have thrown in "the tall man" from phantasm in there.
Pinhead is not actually his name, not once within the series is he ever called Pinhead. His name is Hell Priest.
During production of the first movie they called him Pinhead on set, and it just stuck.
I'm Gen Z and I knew all of these horror icons!
Those are nails in Pinhead's head. In one of the movies, they show how he went from being a human to being a cenobite and they showed the process of him becoming Pinhead. Every pin was nailed into his head one by one with a mallet. And according to the book, he has those nails everywhere on his body...and I mean everywhere, if you know what I mean.
