I went to animation college and got a degree in 2015. In projects, gay themes and characters were praised and elevated by the lecturers. All the girls and gay kids (so many of them) were given special treatment to the point that 3 of the girls in our group did literally no work and we complained. We were pulled into a "meeting" were we were told we couldn't upset the girls by telling them to do their job because we were boys and had the power. I wish I was making this up. So yes, this is manufactured.
The boys lmao should be men in college boy. I was a man in college perhaps you and the 19 likes you got were from man boys in college not men like the rest of us in college loser

Famous Japanese female cartoonists are not women who have succeeded due to gender quotas or ideological policies. They are real talents who have survived fierce competition.
Fullmetal Alchemist is a beloved series that was written by a woman, Hiromu Arakawa. Same with Sailor Moon, a series that impacted the whole magical girl genre and generation.
Yes, not all women and not all non whites are DEI hires. Not even close. However, with a country this large and the percentage of woke shit just screams an uneven playing board, slanted against white straight men.
I was in a staff meeting and it was proudly announced that we were like 35% diverse. Someone asked how that was calculated and they wouldn't give a direct answer. Since almost everyone was present, a quick look around the room would suggest that number was simply everyone who wasn't a straight white man.
Well yes. That is in fact how diversity works. If it was all "straight white men" that would be the exact opposite of diversity. "How is this calculated" is just a silly question. The only answer is that they've counted or keep statistics on incoming and outgoing employees of color (and women). It's not a hard calculation to make. HR literally has the data on hand.
It's way more egregious than that. It comes from a much larger umbrella of racially, sexuality, and gender based communism that's meant to restructure society from the ground up. This has been a lot longer in the making than the name DEI. Every time they get caught they rebrand it. It started with progressivism, then it was intersectionality, DEI is just the next name in the list. They brand it specifically in that way because the names are something the average person would agree with, despite its horrid intentions. All of these people are effectively students of robin di'angelo whether they know it or not.
@ If you're talking about me, I've been following this shit for a long time. It's an ideology that's older than the decade or so I've been aware of it. My best guess about when these far left radicals reared their ugly heads in the public eye it was probably Occupy Wallstreet. I can't remember specifics, because at the time I had no idea what was going on. Infact, I was still in my left wing bubble and probably agreed. What I do remember is a group took over the stage and effectively said that speaking rights were entirely based on immutable characteristics.

Activists: "Stop judging people for their race or gender!" Also activists: "Treat this person better and hire them because they are black and trans!" It's so dumb.
There are not enough black and trans people to take white people’s jobs. If that were case, why are there so many professions that cannot be filled? Where are are all worthy white cpas? Why is there a shortage of accountants? Why are the tax accountants? Forensic accountants? Real estate accountants? Nurses, teachers, you name it. Where are all the black people stealing these jobs?
It's really a test to see who is controllable amongst the masses. The activist that you're referencing do not have the self awareness to understand that what they're saying is contradicting. Also, it just proves who the real racist and bigots are. I'm so glad that people are starting to see through the nonsense, because it's starting to seep into things that we enjoy the most. Or for some people an escape from reality. Video games.
What I don't understand is how people, even on the internet could even say it doesn't exist. As in, they don't believe it's a corporate policy, but a vague made-up term by the chuds. The correlation I saw in these people is that they're also loyal consoomers of AAA and Disney.
2:40 It was heavily pushed while I was going to college, I was trying to learn how to be a game developer and slowly over time my class schedules were getting filled with "mandatory" gender study/ inclusion courses in order to fulfill credits towards my bach degree. Then the college demanded the vaccine in order to progress working on getting my degree. Ended up with a damaged heart and dropped out because higher education turned out to be a brainwashing mad house. I got tired of going into debt, feeling like I wasn't learning what I wanted to learn, and being taught to be ashamed of being a white male. There were even a ludicrous amount of LBGT propaganda displayed in nearly every building that would be considered hate speech if it were propaganda put up by different groups of people. I'm glad I got out when I did, I live with the regret of not doing it sooner.
I'm X and I said people should do that 10 years ago when this bullshit was first starting to come out. Just say you're non-binary/gender fluid or bisexual. None of them can be verified, and identifying as any of these would require no change to your life/behavior at all. Just exploit it to game their own stupid rules.
This is something that isn’t being pointed out as much as it should be, the culture is shifting away from it now I believe but it’s gonna take awhile, being a “protected class” comes with privileges and if you can just say you’re non binary and gain those special privileges of course you will see a huge jump in people identifying as non binary lol they lying to get that special treatment
I do that sometimes so I can apply for internships because they have a "diversity" quota, for equity, where they try to have 50%+ female which is incredibly bad in engineering.
Back in 2000, our principal had the entire school district do a drug use survey. In my 9th grade health class they handed out the bubble exams. Someone had jokingly said that everyone should mark that they do tons of drugs, we weren't the only class that thought of this. A few weeks later the principal held an assembly to talk about the enormous drug problem in our school. We laughed about it for years.
I did the same thing with those surveys in middle school. Drugs? All of them, daily. Sexually Active? Disturbingly so with the STDs to match! Healthy? Morbidly obese, of course!

6:40 as one of the first Gen Z-ers, I can tell you. It's because this generation grew up being force-fed all this diversity and lgbt stuff, and I know several people who used to think/claim in their late teens/early 20s that they were Bi/lesbian/gay etc. but later on dropped that when they grew up an realised it wasn't true. In fact I know several times more that kind of people than I know people who are actually gay/bi etc. But over there in the US the tribalist mind control has been at a level of "pretend that you're one of us or lose your job and your friends" so way more people cling onto the lie
What is kind of ironic is that the commies pushing this stuff on everyone "for the gays" and almost forcing transition ops (i.e. chemical castra***n) on kids are actually effecting a genoc1d* on gay people, and many (maybe even most, IDK the actual stats on that) gay people are cheering on.
I 100% LOST MY 10-YEAR JOB IN GAMING TO DEI FROM ONE OF THE LARGEST GAME PUBLISHERS 2024 was my best performing year, I LOVED and treated everyone like family, got paid less than the lowest performers, and still got laid off due to "organizational restructuring" along with 16 other heterosexual white males. Two months later I received my MAX allowed bonus sent to me (no low performance excuse), while underperformers that got paid MORE than me got to keep their job. Within a few months the highest performers quit, now that studios days are numbered.
I’m an engineer in the uk and we now hire women just for the sake of it, even when they can’t physically do the job. Multiple women in the company don’t do the job they’re paid to do and are off with stress regularly. The western world is fucked!
There’s a reason why indie games are doing so well. A lot of top talent was overlooked and under appreciated and went out and joined others in similar spots.
Most indie games go completely unnoticed bu the public or only appeal to incredibly niche audiences. Not every indie is Stardew or Hollow Knight. Many, many, many are simply obscure, even if offered free on itchio.
It's alot more than that. Even before ESG / DEI these studios fked over their talent. Money became the main priority and cutting costs were one of the first things the higher ups did. Then ESG came to be and we all know how greedy they are, no public company could say no to the ESG money. The main way for companies to boost their ESG-scores is pushing and hiring based on DEI. It's nothing more than the "S" (Social) in ESG. It's the tool used to make all the companies help in creating the "Modern Audience". So that's what these companies did. They started to hire based on DEI. Suddenly the studio was filled with unqualified people with many not even interested in gaming. The already burned out talent now has to take care of these hires. Teach them and fix their errors, this made more talent quit while only DEI hires were brought in. Leadership now also has to get more diverse so promoting one of your talent that has already worked at the company for a decade is out of the window. Instead they put DEI hires / activists into leadership positions. Now the remaining talent not only has to teach and fix the crap DEI hires have caused but also now have to listen to the DEI leadership. This got worse and worse. Then they took over HR and the entire work culture changed around them. If you don't allign with their Idiology then you are a enemy. Then these DEI hires / activists started to push this crap into their work aka the game itself. This is good for the company since they now need more ways to boost their ESG-score so that they can get even more of that sweet ESG-money. All these years they never cared about the long term consequences this would bring with it but sadly for them it's now catching up and blowing up right in their faces.
@@Kamawan0 Gamers aren't a unified hivemind/borg collective; most gamers are niché. Most people are in the long tail, whether it is movies or games or music. Most gamer's favourite game will be some lower budget, indie game if they look hard enough; but it will all be different ones. AAA as a concept is that you make a big, expensive game that necessarily needs to sell millions of copies to be successful, because it cost in the hundreds of millions to make. This means that it *must* have enough mass market appeal. This can only ever result in a narrow subset of all possible story and gameplay; politely put it is the equivalent of fast food; not great, but you know you're getting something pallatable and basically competent. Discoverabilty is easy. By not making a big expensive AAA game you can exactly target an underserved audience. 100 000 units for an indie game can be a huge success with a grotesque profit margin that no AAA can hope to achieve; that's the power of a few friends grinding out a game in their basement. Few indie developers compete against AAA (there are exceptions like Witcher 3), the turd polishers can beat them with experience and the center of the distribution is already too overpopulated anyway.
Indies are not doing well big budget games overwhelmingly make most of the revenue. there's Steam data analysis to verify this. that's in every entertainment industry tho
I went to school to learn editing and programming. I had so many issues with teachers as a "white" guy even though I'm half mexican, I just look white. I got so many talking to's about how I have unconscious bias and how men hold all the power in the industries. As soon as I identified as trans (even though I wasn't) this issue went away overnight, and in fact I was able to get away with turning in my assignments late or not at all and still receive full credit. When I applied for jobs in my chosen crafts, I always put they/them pronouns. I got three call backs in the first month, absolutely unheard of in this job market.
Anywhere in tech all you got to say is you are non-binary or trans etc, and job opportunities sky rocket. its like when colleges started wanting to accept students with their race being considered to help with campus diversity. people would lie on their applications to even get their foot in the door and once they got accepted the person who did the accepting never interacted with the student in person once to be able to verify... ( my opinion is that race should never be considered in any, way, shape or form any how, exact same with gender.) these games get created and then the rule makers get unhappy you know how to play, its like casino's and card counting.
I got suspended 3 days from an 8 week webdeveloper training because at a debate about how to get more women in the industry, I voiced that it was a non issue and didn't matter. I did 4 years of programing and 2 years of graphic design, there were 1 girl for every 20 guys in programing on average, and about 1 out of 4 for graphic design. The reason there aren't many women is obscure to me, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing is preventing them from pursuing studies and finding a job within those domains. The same way there are much more women as hair dressers, nurses, psychologists, ... than men, yet there is nothing preventing men from pursuing those fields. I understand that diversity is "better" because you don't want people to miss out on a job that they deserve from reasons outside of their control, but I don't think the gender discrepancies in a lot of jobs stem from misoginy or sexism, do they ?
I think this is all a trend, from a GenZ girl that got pulled into it. Kids and teens see these things everywhere. In the last years it's been propagating a lot, and it's in the games you play and the series you consume. It's all wrapped with colors and "quirkiness" so that autistic (like me) and other neurodivergent individuals also get on it. And considering every negative criticism is immediately pulled under, they're led to believe it's the way to go, specially when their friend group joins in, specially when they get special days and special programs specifically made for some identities. I never experienced gender dysphoria, but after joining twitter when I was 17 and getting bombarded by LGBTQ stuff (I was part of an extremely *special* art community), I started questioning myself a lot, and then started identifying myself in the internet (only the internet, never real life) as genderfluid. Those ideas were fueled by the free support I earned from strangers online, and from queer classmates in college. Left Twitter in November of 2022 (and left college earlier), and months later I snapped out of it. Now I'm just a woman (like I've always been) and I'm happy with it. Yes, it's manufactured. It's a trend. It's specially easy to say you're a nonbinary she/they, because you can still be yourself while also making others treat you differently.
I'm a millennial that grew up before all this. LGBT was talked about, but the focus was on gay and lesbian rather than gender identity. I grew up thinking I'm a girl that likes traditionally boy things. I think if I grew up 10 years later, I would've been told I'm non-binary because I don't 100% fit the stereotypical female image. I grew up thinking labels are terrible and that I didn't want to be attributed to them so it has been a bit confusing watching the younger generation. I asked a group of younger people why they're attracted to these newer labels and they told me part of it is being part of a group, as well as an Identity. I'm 100% sure that's definitely part of it too. Social groups forming around these ideas are reinforced by peer pressure and shared identity. That's not a bad thing for people who belong to these groups, but the outside reinforcement and putting them on a pedestal where they can do no harm (or just can't be criticised) is harmful to everyone involved.
Its very telling that i know 3 trans people, all with different mental problems, i am not kidding. (I am also not saying trans is a mental health thing) The people i know identify as they/them, xir/xer and whatever its called also have adhd, schizophrenia, and other issues with them. If it was, i know i only talk about the people i know, but 100% is crazy.
It's a cult. The biggest sign that something doesn't add up with the nonbinary phenomenon is that the 'community' advocates for gender nonconformity (GNC for short), yet if you behave and dress in a GNC way while you identify as a man/woman, they state that "you must be nonbinary in denial". So, everyone should be allowed to dress and like whatever they want (e.g. men wearing heels) but if they do so, they're not cisgender anymore... Wtf
i think you just needed to go outside more x_x i work full time in a warehouse and i'm nonbinary, never used twitter in my life. yeah i need to correct 50 year old lads constantly but if it makes me not wanna die it's worth it lmao. just go outside lassie
Would be such a developer mindset thing to do as wel Analyse how the system works, identify a broken mechanism that can easily be exploited at no significant cost? Abuse the shi out of it
39:34 I’ve had friends who are gay and friends who are straight- the gay ones made their sexuality a large part of their personality, whereas the straight friends essentially never talked about being straight unless it was something normal like, “I’m taking my girlfriend on a date”. No one is talking about heterosexuality the way gay people talk about homosexuality.
But yet they always make a big stink about relationships in TV shows and programmes being dominantly heterosexual, essentially bringing more attention to the fact than if they didn’t bother to mention it at all. It’s like if they got to make it all about them
Constantly talking about it is an attempt to justify their sexual degeneracy and deviancy. They know what they're doing is utterly disgusting and repulsive and not normal
I’ve always wondered this myself. If a dude talked about nothing but boobs all day he’d be considered a perv by society, yet if he is sexually attracted to something unnatural it’s totally acceptable. Gotta be an incredibly boring person to make it your entire identity anyway, get a hobby.
It isn’t good in my industry. (Medical.) I encounter co-workers and colleagues from other facilities that are completely inept. You should be very concerned with the amount of unskilled labor currently in our medical system, probably due to diversity measures.
I work in recruitment and the business I work for are big on diversity simply because they want to Representative of the customer base which is very diverse depending on the area. That being said, whilst we do run targeted campaigns for certain groups, we do not discourage others to not apply and we can see that in our application data which is a good thing. I’ve had conversations with hiring managers who have been against the idea of DEI and I’ve always said to them to look at it as of a way of giving more people the opportunity rather than taking from someone else, that being said, I make it clear that we have strict criteria and will not hire on the basis of them being from a certain demographic.
6:30, I'm gen z, and lots of people feel that its cool to identify as LGBT, especially bisexual, because you get a special social status without actually having to do anything.
That's also what i have been observed with some of my gen z friends. They said they're gay or something to get more chance of getting a job even though some of them actually have a girlfriend
@ a man's gotta eat. if lying abt being gay or not makes the difference to stay employed, more power to them. but it's indicative of a problem if you have to lie to stay employed.
DEI is a loophole to people get the roles they want, the people they want and take out whom they don't. The moment it stops being convenient, they make it more restrictive and abstract, like what happened to Sonic 3 to be left out the Oscars. Once it starts, founders are kicked out, and DEI people replace it
They aren’t simply “kicked out” on a whim, they’re cancelled for baseless allegations that are believed guilty until proven innocent. Doesn’t only happen to founders or company officials, seen it happen time and time again to celebrities and content creators - anyone influential that has an audience.
It’s not about the moment they’re inconvenienced it’s about when bottom line net revenue begins to falter and share holders jump ship for greener (literally) pastures.
a recent application i applied for to get a grant asked what minority group i belonged too. A loan application i applied for also asked what minority group i belonged to.I am getting tired of being asked. Sure I may be classified as being disabled, but i do not want to share this. I find it a form of discrimination just for them to ask. I strive to be an equal. Not play the "poor me" "i'm disabled" card.
Remember guys, they tried to either convince you that DEI wasnt a big deal, wasnt the problem or that it didnt even exist. Now, watch them, content creators included, all start to pivot and pretend that they never supported any of it.
The next step is rebrand DEI to something else and pretend that DEI has always been a straw man made up by alt-right and it never existed. Just like the word "woke" was used a decade ago by progressives, now they pretend that it is a right wing invention.
Weirdest thing was the companies literally bragging about their DEI policies on their own site and social media, but whenever you mentioned DEI, everyone was acting like it's just in your head and it's not real
@djangodjango5694 Bro you got bots galore who will take any position opposite to yours, not to mention actual people hired to control narratives and foreign actors all doing the same thing. Most of the people you think you've talked to probably aren't even real. 😊
Well, it's not necessarily ALL just a shallow pivot, mind that it was outright not culturally and socially allowed to be outspoken about it, people would be ostracized and harassed for it, people lost their jobs for it and could even get blackballed from their industry, criticism was faced with retaliation. DEI proponents have social power, look for instance at the iron grip which leftism has had over academia since the 1970s, long before the modern DEI initiative even existed. The social environment has finally hit a turning point where people are now getting the chance to speak out without a fear of retaliation. For a more extreme comparison, not every German or Russian towed the official line with great personal enthusiasm, lots of dissent existed quietly, and it stayed quiet because there would be serious personal consequences to not playing along.
My mom works for a company with a diversity program, they call themselves the “J.E.D.I. Council” (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) She HATES it but the meetings are mandatory and because she works from home I occasionally overhear their Zoom calls. They say the most cringe worthy things possible. Some of their policies are so ass backwards it’s hard to believe they’re still in business. The funny thing about it is in Star Wars lore the Jedi Council’s hubris, shortsightedness, and arrogance is what led to their downfall.
Insane work, and probably an even more insane workplace. Imagine if 43% of your co-workers had the mental fortitude and temperament of the average LGHDTV.
@@drokhalis3338 I mean, while it's not related, you can't fully blame them as they're engineered that way, it's kinda sad because we think that this wouldn't happen to us, but if we were in their position, it'd happen the same to us, unless ofc if it was a bit different and participated in places which didn't outright support this bs so one sort of counters the effect of the other
The other issue is it's a compounding problem. When people see statistics like this many will inevitably abuse their game just to get a job in a broken system. I guarantee you a lot of people checking certain boxes don't believe any of this. In fact I bet some were encouraged people they knew who were already working there to do it. What will finally bring down this house of cards is those people coming forward to prove what a sham this whole thing is.
Being gay is a sexuality, it doesn't influence behaviour yet one thing you will notice with the younger groups identifying as such is they do the stereotypical gay act as if it were "natural". I don't know any gay person who behaved that way growing up, hell even being told was a surprise as nobody knew, they behaved perfectly normal. Social media has done more damage than people realise, that coloured hair, behaviour and even political views are things this sudden surge of LGBT+ people unnaturally have in common universally, almost as if it were forced.
They've done studies on DEI program in companies and found that it had the opposite effect in that it made employees exposed to the program more hostile to their co-workers.
I mean, it basically creates a Soviet style organization where people have to tattle and control each other to gain points with dear leader or the ruling party.
It's because if you even glance at someone(like not even conceisouly looking at them) and they go to HR, you will get fired if you are a straight white male. You gotta identify as something so "your diversity" cancels out them complaining from a diversity angle. It's why I wear some questionable style choice of tye-dye rainbow/psychedelic colored shirts every other week, they won't touch me. And no, I am completely straight. On any job application that asks gender, you checkmark Other(prefer not to say). Easy to make it to the 2nd round of interviews.
There have been some really interesting studies recently that have shown that unconscious bias training actually increases bias, as well as makes people see bias where it does not exist. Focusing on DEI has arguable made relations worse, not better. I personally would argue that that was the real goal.
That was the entire purpose of DEI. Divide people further to make it difficult for people to focus on real issues like the destruction of the middle class and the growing class divide.
My employer asked me every 3 motnhs for 6 years the same question during conversations. "What are you doing to help the company succeed when it comes to diversity and inclusion?" At first it was no big deal, but after answering it for the 15th time, you don't know what to say anymore, you just get annoyed even hearing the question. This is what has happened to the country.
I really love how "merit" got reduced into being "skill and knowledge" while in reality merit includes social values ,ethics, soft skill etc etc..anyways. People really confuse meritocracy with technocracy.
different roles require different skills and knowledge. instead of always listing off all the different types of skills & knowledge, just saying 'skills & knowledge' is more efficient.
@ There is no "industry" context of a word like meritocracy. The meaning you want to imply is an analogy of technocracy. People want to say technocracy but do not know the word. And Meritocracy is just a popular world some people used in rise of DEI and Woke shit.
"I don't think i could be indoctrinated" Bruh...They're starting the indoctrination at Kindergartern/Nursery+Primary School, and then what's in the TV shows the kids watch and video games they play outside of school. They are being spawn camped.
Some people can’t be indoctrinated. They did studies on this stuff. It’s a small percentage of populations, like the amount of psychopaths in a population. The government has tested this extensively to the point where there are certain questions on civil service and military aptitude tests to help screen them out..
Exactly, he’s thinking as an adult and not a toddler that’s just being self aware. This is being pushed on kids since birth, it’s why there’s such a big gap between different generations!
39:56 the problem is this. I worked with an aggressive lesbian who has had kids but hates men. We were both axe throwing coaches. Her whole identity is gay. She flaunted it constantly. She also works at a cash checking place where she is not allowed to flaunt it. She still does and nothing is done. This is the problem. She is extremely aggressive about her new lesbianism.
Sounds like one of my moms old coworkers. The woman was basically useless because she was always starting some drama and not doing her job, but because she was gay, she was a nightmare for my mom and her coworkers to get rid of because they KNEW she would pull the gay card. They needed to wait for a transfer opportunity to get rid of her
@ryanc3884 just going around to anyone/everyone and saying, "I'm gay", would count as flaunting. Glad you went to THE MOST EXTREME expression though, since that's how the DEI crowd works 😅
I applied for a tech job after college and got denied. Decided reapply to same tech job ~6 months later with lgbtq+ in my application and got moved forward that week. No other change in my resume.
It was in my companies memo the other day, that they literally canceled their DEI program and now it would be replaced with basically the same thing under a different name. The public thinks things have changed, all these companies are doing is laughing at your stupid faces.
Went to an art school from 2018-2024 and one thing that annoyed me is people constantly creating projects on the theme of gender/body positivity. I studied advertising and as an international student who went to the US for studies I find this revolving theme shows lack of creativity. Always creating works with the same message and executions basically the same. When you have critique for the projects people just don't want to say negative stuff including the professor's regarding these topics
@@arivan6317 bro pointing out the obvious that people mostly agree with. And its a question, how can these companies see what the DEI does to the company performance and just say "This is fine."
27:30 Also if all that's required to be "racist" is to be the dominant race of the country you live in, then literally every dominant race in every country is racist by default and it literally means nothing.
no, this is only valid if you are white. These people would NEVER call Africans in any African country racist, vice versa for every other "non-white" country
my experience in the last decade has been looked over for every quota. so legal discrimination, so at best i couldn't have been racist but prejudice at most, because my demo didnt have institutionalized power at the time. I love their logic.
I worked in IT before the DEI stuff really took hold and although there were far less women in the team (usually 1 or 2 of us out of 50), we were treated better as everyone knew we were there because we could actually do the work. And we enjoyed the environment instead of expecting it to change. We joined in on the banter, late night/weekend shifts, gaming/beer nights, etc and knew the score. When you first joined a team, you'd get a bit of 's**t testing' at first to see if you were cool. Then they'd be okay with you (which is what guys do with each other, so it wasn't a big deal to us). We were there because we genuinely loved working with computers and not just to prove something 'as a woman' and try to change things. We were tomboys and/or autistic for the most part and preferred working in a more masculine environment. When they started bringing in all the 'women in tech' drives, special awards for female devs, etc the atmosphere totally changed. People were 'nice' on the surface because they had to be, but it got more awkward at work and there was a feeling that people didn't trust we were there on merit (which a couple of new hires weren't). The environment changed to be more 'inclusive of women', which sucked as we were there because we wanted to work in a more masculine environment. And if you were a female dev with the 'wrong' political opinion (i.e. openly hated the DEI crap and refused to support it), then you got pushed out the door by management. I refused to attend a women in tech event at one place and told them it was patronising and lost my job soon after. Then at the next place I was backstabbed by a gay non-binary woman and sacked because I just wanted to focus on the work and not politics. Ironically, that woman had no interest in programming and constantly complained that she found the job too stressful and disliked the owner. But she ticked the right HR boxes and was aggressive and manipulative enough to get her way. So she took my place as a senior manager. I now run my own tech start up and hire purely on merit and refuse to get involved with any DEI style schemes, which annoys leftist people because apparently I should be more supportive of that stuff. Any 'sane' people find it a lot easier to deal with. And if anyone complains about it not being woke enough, I can just point out that it's a 'female led company' and they tend to shut up. DEI ruined the tech industry for women that were already there. Yes, there were less of us. But we were there because we loved the work, the environment and had the skills to be there. There was never anything to stop women from setting up their own tech companies if they wanted to work in more 'feminine' environments while developing software/games. Where I live it's very cheap to register a new business. But they chose to wreck existing companies instead.
I am a software developer with about 2 years worth of working experience looking for a job; would you mind sharing your company's name if you have any current openings?
I've been saying this for years. The current environment enforced by the American government has turned scrutiny to any non-heterosexual white guy and guilty until proven innocent that they didn't earn it. DEI destroyed the chance of women, blacks, gays etc. to be taken seriously in any profession for at least a decade.

4:30 people have to understand that we need women in the game industry so they can help with character, smart game mechanics, knowing what women also want in games, cute shit people can care about, Fashion and soo many other things. I am 44. When I went to college in 99' I could write my own opinions on papers (obv backed by sources). But now I'm going back to school, and if I add my own worldview, my papers suffer. It is absurdity at its finest. I am FORCED to conform - OR - get bad grades. I can't emphasize how frustrating this is....and modernity is to blame. Especially in higher education
Sad because one of the reasons for third level education is open discussion and questioning "knowledge" questioning is one of the most important parts of the learning process. If you cannot question then it's a religion..... not learning.
same man i need to say that being gay or lesbian is not a fault of nature, (in my opinion it is but i have to accept it to get points) since not wanting to procreate normally is not what nature intended... since a male and a female is needed to create new offspring, its mostly the same with multiple species, and the are rare cases where animals have a different system, Im not saying being gay is evil, you can be gay but i stand behind my beliefs that being gay is a fault in their genetic system. and i want to write that on my biology test really.
It just annoys me how privileged these people are. I got a nice reminder of it last year, i got a new job and i have an older coworker i really click with, we talk a lot and he became a sort of mentor. Really nice guy. I had noticed that he was insanely vague and secretive about his personal life and you know what, i'm not one to pry so i didn't mind. It took him over 6 months to open up to the fact he is gay and is in a relationship and talk to me about the travels he does with his husband and whatnot and i could genuinely see and feel how uncomfortable and worried he was of my reaction when he finally told me. I literally lifted my shoulders and said something along the lines of "yeah sure, whatever" and while he still talks to me about his husband and whatnot, the fact he is gay never came up again. Because it doesn't matter to me whatsoever, i don't see the guy differently or interact with him differently in any way. But that's a clear example to me of someone that most likely faced true discrimination and judgement. He never talked openly about it but the way he acts and the fact he's 56 makes it very likely. So when i see people who are allowed to parade in the middle of the street in BDSM fetish wear, strap-on and all say they are being discriminated against, i now think of that coworker and get really annoyed.
Yeah sadly we let them have everything they wanted without pushback and it came back to bite us in the ass. Instead of being grateful for what they had they just wanted more and more and more.they developed a sense of entitlement and narcissism. But their loseing steam now. And from what ive seen the gaming community have been one of the only community's that have ever pushed back. So in those fronts im glad to see it go downhill for them
When I was in college (cringe, I know), there was like 1 female student in the entire engineering department. Women ending up being such a large percentage of the workforce just doesn't make sense. Add in all of the other groups getting preferential treatment from DEI practices and the percentage of skilled engineers actually getting hired keep getting lower and lower. They're adding a mandatory percentage of lower-skilled engineers from the "absolutely required to hire" categories, then filling in the gaps with a small number of skilled engineers who end up doing all of the work for lower pay.
I come from a small Finnish city, town by american standards. When I was a teen ~1996 there was a single guy that wore a dress, had long hair and a mustache. Nobody beat him up, yes there were casual giggling but I gave him mad respect for having the balls to be himself in a 10k people city. You don't get respect, "pride" and extra points for being gay, trans, whatever. You get respect for standing tall no matter what you are.
Similar to my small Finnish town of 25k people. We had one known trans woman that was in their 60s. All the older people knew them, but nobody really cared.
I mean the original DEI shit was that you would get monetary incentives to include diversity in your workforce and content. Then companies just outright made checklists to do the bare minimum to get this incentive. You got people hiring ONE black guy and include ONE trans person just to get money.
They're still doing it out of spite embracing irregular business practices. Sure, they can do what they want but there will be no crying to mommy government to bail them out when they go bust.

I started college back in August, planning to become a video game developer. After seeing the kinds of people in the same field as myself, and watching as gaming has tanked over the past few months with releases like DA: Veilguard, I just couldn't see myself doing what I've been dreaming of anymore. I chose to swap courses, and just decided to tell my parents that I failed out of programming, because I knew I'd be miserable working with people that are just so clearly unproductive, mentally unstable, and aggressive over the dumbest stances like making sure LGBTQ+ folk feel represented. Like, just tone it down. Make video games because you want to tell a story or deliver entertainment, not to get your points across using half-hour side quests about how it's wrong to misgender someone. Just look at companies like Obsidian and Bungie nowadays; take a look at the people they have on their teams. I challenge you to reach in to a Triple-A team and pull out a dozen stable-minded, for -the-game developers that aren't doing everything in their power to try and force their mentality on how sexuality should be viewed in a gd video game. My lifelong dream of wanting to make games actually sounds like the most miserable line of work for me, and it drives me crazy to think about on the daily.
There's certainly more involved than just grifting. The grifters would be the companies that pretend to care about these manufactured social issues, but they're only doing it to get ESG money or whatever. But there are a ton of people pushing this collectivistic ideology that are true believers. The former can be dealt with simply by not buying their stuff and cowing them into place, whereas the later are fueled by fanaticism and ignorance, which is a lot harder to deal with.
I am a factory worker, and we had to go through a 4 hour dei lecture every half a year. It's the most boring and unnecessary thing I have ever witnessed.
"LGBT identification" Includes Bi and all nonbinary. There is a reason HALF of all LGBT people identify as Bi. Some people genuinely are that identity but it is also a convenient label that doesn't require commitment.
My previous teamleader was in training to become a teamleader. During her training year she was responsible for 4 burnouts in the team. She got promoted to teamleader because she was a perfect DEI fit to obtain the companies' DEI kpi's
That makes a lot of sense. Hell even I would have done that if that KPI got passed. KPIs are KPIs and should be choosen very carefully Also, I have seen the exact same thing happen to the point where she made the whole multi country team quit (och 84% of them) until she got moved to another position.
Im a carpenter, and we 100% DEI in our union. We had it before it was named. Giving women day 1 access to out of state leadership training, when men have to wait 2 years minimum. I have a boss that's scared to get rid of a deadbeat worker because he's black. Dude texts for like 1/4 of the day and knows basicly nothing. He can't use the power tools, is scared to use a scissor lift, and doesn't know basic tasks, like drawing out something on a piece of apper with ~6 measurements to be cut. despite being at the same job site for 5 years. DEI is garbage.
I know a group of old gay men, where I live. One of them told me that when he was in college in the 1960's, he encountered a man who said he was gay when women were listening, but thought that my friend (who's actually gay) was just pretending, to impress the women -- like he was. So this game has been around for a very long time.
I am sooooooo glad i never tried getting a game design type degree back in the day. My friend is a teacher and she talks about her pupils and this. In high school it's fashion. It used to be "oh I like my hair curly now... having straight hair is soooo out of fashion". Kids in schools play around and switch their preference all the time. If you decided you were gay for a week back in the 90s you'd be called gay for your whole school life and probably beyond that. The difference now is that's so socially acceptable for Gen Z to change stuff around with the changing of the winds, nobody cares 4 years down the line what they decided to be for a week. Lets ask these kids in 30 years how they identify. It'll be close to normal and most if not all of these kids that though it was fashionable will identify as typical heterosexual adult. The only kids that grow up gay are actual gay kids because that's how they are... not because it was fashionable for a few weeks
I think a large part of it is the kind of hostile work environment it fosters. If you have any kind of talent or experience, you can easily get hired elsewhere, often with a decent paycheck bump. Their experienced people simply pulled up stakes and left, either to build their own studio with a bunch of other disgruntled employees poached from the same company or individually for better pastures. When all you've got is a bunch of leaderless noobs to make your software, this is what happens regardless of their demographic makeup. People with no experience bumped to leadership positions lack the confidence to say "no", and voila, pathological feature creep. And I say this as someone who was bumped to a leadership position with little experience (and, of course, no extra pay, lol) in a badly managed company.
I've worked for 4 different companies since my first job in 2017 out of university and every single contract specifically stated that sexual preference was seen as a private matter, and it was against HR policy to discuss private affairs in the work place when relating to sexual activities or preferences. Nobody ever asked us or required us to state our sexual preference. In fact, we were never asked if we are Male or Female. All my previous jobs hired based on the interview process. Sexuality/gender/race never played any role.
@@RedDevil2557 It is. American Airlines, as well as air traffic controllers have gotten rid of, or lowered standards to achieve hiring 30% more non-whites.

That's because it's not about representing the masses. It's about APPEARING like you're representing the masses. Having a 9:1 ratio looks bad because when people picture equality of opportunity they assume the end result will be 50/50. Even though that doesn't appear to be the case.
I have done hiring from within the company. I learned to take the hard worker, that was reliable and capable of doing the job over the more technically qualified candidate that may have been way more capable but lazier and harder to work with. Hard work and dedication have to factor into the merit equation. Not everybody is lucky enough to be an Einstein but if they apply themselves, they deserve the opportunity to prove their worth.
As a hiring manager I give more weight to someone’s eagerness to learn and care about the quality of their work over their current technical knowledge. If you want to learn and will take pride in the work you do, all your technical failings can be improved through training. Essentially: just give a f*ck about the work you do and learn. The worst that can happen is you learn skills that you can take to your next job or start a business of your own.
The problem with the Platinum Rule is that it forces stereotyping. "Treat others how they want to be treated." You cannot know this until you spend time with that person. If you try to apply the Platinum Rule to someone who is new to the job, it opens them up to committing microaggressions which may get them fired It's a circular feedback loop of non-productivity.
Pretty sure that 8% shift is caused by guys recognizing that if they say they're bi/gender non conforming, but really aren't, they get better promotion opportunities.
A lot of the 19% aren't even actually LGB but it's gotten to the point that it's the trendy thing to claim to be. Like saying you were bisexual in the 80s.

I realized I was bi like 15 years ago... I was more comfortable admitting to that then than I am now, because the LGBT "community" and more importantly, it's idiotic lefty "allies", have utterly antagonized people into going from a neutrality I would have preferred, to a legitimized hatred. DEI commies have done more to undermine the gay rights movement than any other group. We were basically at the finish line. Watching other idiots in the LGBT community IMMEDIATELY take it further into forced equity nonsense and propaganda made me realize something... Social justice movements dont actually have a finish line... They are nothing more than self serving special interest groups... They serve a purpose up until equal rights are gained... But through sheer inertia, and the natural continuation of centralizing power on bureaucratic processes (to include social justice movement leadership), they continue past that line, and justify it by vilifying equal treatment as "offensive" and "bigoted".

I worked in schools for decades but had to quit for this very reason. and trust me, all the good teachers left as well. only DEI slaves and drones left.
I'm a tutor for English and I can confirm that teachers usually push Marxist/Feminist/Postcolonial theories onto texts for students to write and discourage other interpretations. In fact, you seem to get higher score just by citing these theories, as it's supposed to show that students are thinking through "alternative lens" and "critical theories". I wish I can do an experiment where I write an essay using conservative-leaning theories and hand it in and see the response, but it's impossible to do.
6:45 the difference in "identifying" is what is included in LGBT+. In GenZ its no longer just who are you sexually attracted to - LGB, its also gender identity.. so just slap they/them on your insta and you are queer.. and that is your ticket to a minority points.
More than that, the school system is designed to not only instill these values and ideologies, but also, you are judged if not bullied by the adults if you don't follow these strictly They are broad, but its "you are an ally or someone who must die" mentality This doesn't apply to all schools, but it was a growing problem, to the point where the entire new republican movements were to basically rip the entire thing apart and rebuild it, because of how deeply stained the system is

Well yes. That is in fact how diversity works. If it was all "straight white men" that would be the exact opposite of diversity. "How is this calculated" is just a silly question. It's way more egregious than that. It comes from a much larger umbrella of racially, sexuality, and gender based communism that's meant to restructure society from the ground up. This has been a lot longer in the making than the name DEI. Every time they get caught they rebrand it.
Indies are not doing well

…..so you pretended to be trans because you felt like people were mean to you? Sounds kinda sus😂
(I am also not saying trans is a mental health thing)

@@Teddyfunhouse ADHD is a "mental health problem? lol relax sparky
Wtf

You are absolutely right man.

Yet the leftist think this natural. Wild animals are nearly 0% gay.
Golden rule has been a pretty good rule for thousands of years, imagine the hubris to create the platinum rule.

Nobody beat him up, yes there were casual giggling but I gave him mad respect for having the balls to be himself in a 10k people city.

Lets ask these kids in 30 years how they identify. It'll be close to normal and most if not all of these kids that though it was fashionable will identify as typical heterosexual adult. The only kids that grow up gay are actual gay kids because that's how they are... not because it was fashionable for a few weeks
