I used to wash my father's car at a gas station near my work. People there are old and lazy. I was not satisfied with their work, I only pay the amount of the service with no tips, so one day I decided to do it myself, after that day I discovered the unhappiness and the difficulty of thier work.

It's winter, and I'm not going to hand wash my truck till late April. But when I do wash my truck I use 15 washing mits in a very soapy bucket. I use one new mit per panel, and I'm not pressing on the mit.... just gently gliding it across the paint. When I'm done with the mit it gets put in a separate bucket. I don't use microfiber clothes to dry for fear of scratching the paint, I use the blowing feature on my vacuum. I've been doing it this way for 1.5 years, and don't have a single scratch on the paint from washing it this way. It's a black toyota 4runner, and the paint from the factory is crap. But I had the truck ceramic coated, and it looks new after every wash.
That Porsche is a beast man! Wheew

Hi, just wondering how u deal with the post wash rust on the rotors? do you drive around the block after or before drying the car? I have this problem when drives around the block after drying the car, the rust dust will come off sticking to the surface of the wheels. So annoying

Do you have any tips for black paint?
I have a Mercedes c43 (obsidian black color), and I have constant issues with waterspots.. (Carpro ceramic coating/ bead maker is added every wash )
Every time it rains it leaves waterspots on the paint.. and I’m honestly lost all the fun I had with detailing my car.
Every week / 2 weeks I’m busy for hours cleaning it and the waterspots keep returning after raining.
I have them too and it‘s completely normal unfortunately. It‘s a big downside of having a sealant on the paint but you can still easily remove them with a good rinse.

Retyre is great but foamer sprayed dumps to much product so your best thoughts on how to save from using so much?
To be honest I don’t think this guy is concerned with product usage. You could swap the spray head but defeats the purpose of the foaming action.
I’d put it in something like an IK foamer to spray 🤷♂️
