I think every dog and every cat has a really sweet and forgiving side to them, but they're both stereotyped. Not all dogs stick up to their owners and not all cats are jerks. Any cats that are jerks just aren't treated or socialized properly, and aggressive dogs weren't raised in ideal conditions. We all have different preferences for the characteristics of our pets and it's wrong to demonize any of them and go by stereotypes. Tldr; If you don't like the animal that's ok, all I'm saying is that we should respect all animals and people's conditions for what makes a good pet for them.
