2017 Oliver Tambo R5

The OR Tambo award, order of champions commemorates Oliver Tambo centenary of his birth on the 2017 R5.
Very hard to explain the symbolism behind the OR Tambo medal, but it basically awarded to international figures who have shown friendship towards South Africa.
Apparently in certain African cultures, the non venomous mole snake is depicted as a benign guardian who watches over new born babies.
