Can someone explain why the positive sign changed to negative in the last solution of question b. I thought -1(denominator) could cancel -1( the power it was raised to)
When you think about it, the variable that is raised with a negative number will just go down to the denominator, therefore giving us. 1/-1(x) or -(1/x) which is equal to -x^-1.
The way you taught this was so easy that any child that knows the basic laws of exponents can understand this. Love you bro!
