Hello! I wonder if you'd recommend any dentists that do GIC in Texas. Even better if in the Austin area. Or if there is a website to find Dentists who perform SDF, GIC and Hall Technique crowns in Texas. Thank you very much.
Don't let just any dentist put you under or numb you up without someone watching them because they'll go to town with you. I heard horrible testimonies and regrets. Unless it is a reputable and trusted one. With SDF treatment available, I don't see a need to drill away your tooth.
My son is one years old. We never gave him sugar but he ended up with cavities to his upper front 4 teeth. The only thing I could think of is breastfeeding at night. They used SDF to his teeth and will require crowns in the future. Do they use mental teeth or porcelain teeth? I don’t want him to have a complex and I don’t want kids teasing him bc of my mistake. Please help.
Hi Jessica, unfortunately we can not give clinical advice, especially without clinical examination or radiographs. The best advice would be to follow up with a pediatric dentist, and whenever possible, avoid or delay sedation until after the age of 3. There are many non-invasive aesthetic options for SDF treated teeth, as featured in some of our other videos, but it can be a challenge to find a dentist that is familiar or experienced at them. Be sure to call and ask, and remember, when in doubt, seek a 2nd opinion. Best wishes.
Hi, Did you use anything on the black stains caused by sdf? My daughter is also year old and got cavities on upper front teeth because of same reason and she is getting sdf tomorrow.. I am worried about black stains now
My 3-year-old daughter just received silver diamine fluoride from her dentist last week, and she hasn't slept well since. She wakes up every 15-25 minutes screaming, crying, and flopping around all over the bed. All she wants is to get some sleep, but she can't. She's extremely irritable, exhausted, and uncomfortable. Her mother and I haven't had a good night's sleep either. It is affected our whole family. I want my little girl back!
Sounds like the teeth were already too far gone & it’s time for restorative treatment. Likely too late for Hall Technique, sounds like irreversible pulpitis. Minimal interventions, unfortunately, are not always an option for every patient. Sometimes it’s simply too late and there is nerve involvement & infection.
@@affiliatedchildrensdental no, the dentist claims that none of her cavities have yet to reach the nerves as of yet, but he also failed to admit that all of them inevitably will over the next year in which he claims that she'll have to wait before he's going to be able to get her in to have them all filled. He's persistent in reminding me and my wife that he's the only dentist in all of Southern Illinois who takes Medicaid, and that he apparently has a long list of other kids that he has to treat before it is her turn. He also loves to remind us that he has many many other children on his waiting list that do in fact have abscesses already. Which only serves as proof that he could care less about doing what is necessary to prevent her inevitable suffering from the abscesses she is going to experience over this next year while she's waiting for his arrogant ass to finally be ready to help her. Covid has certainly helped me to recognize the indoctrination which the medical establishment confuses with education.
This is so helpful I’m about to drive to Arizona for this treatment my baby teeth are decaying due to her nursing on demand STILL at almost two years young

@@jcolt84 its the fluoride and the silver ,it destroys everyone regardless of age ,you should try reverse osmosis water ,iodine ,alpha liphoic acid ,research on youtube on how you can detox and take it out of the body through urine Keep the child away from chemicals of any kind ,i mean it !
glass ionomer would be a better choice of material. I recommend to view my webinar for technique; www.dentaltown.com/onlinece/details/803/silver-is-the-new-black-improving-your-practice-with-silver-diamine-fluoride
It depends on the child and the behavior. At a minimum, i requires 2 visits - 1 to place the separator and a 2nd to seat the crown. It may take more visits if the child is apprehensive and needs additional desensitization visits and/or SDF application

You can not like cure SDF. You can place the composite on another appointment
