Hmong, aka Miao, and Chinese have similar dowry cultures.
I was an Indian wedding in South India. They both exchanged dowry. So much gold! It was made in his home town! And they keep adding things to the necklace. I love the idea 😎
where is the next part?
Working...in progress 🥲
@@InspirLang all right . thank you ~
It’s kind of funny, in the west (at least at one point 200-400 AD) the women would give the husband money to marry them. Crazy stuff how these things are different around the world.
I really hate dowry. I feel it is a deal killer. I remembered in the past my ex FZ in laws asking crazy amounts that I could not afford. They were crazy and I wanted to call it off. I felt they were too greedy. Now I don't want pay a lick. Not because I am cheap it is because financially it is a tough due to the economy and the financial pressures of being married.
