  • I'll be showing my first days of settling into my new life in China. At first, it was pretty rough, but overall I'm settling in reasonably well.

    I love what you're doing. I'm hoping to be in China in a couple of months for my study.
    How do you cope with the language differences?

      That's awesome! Having buddies who speak Chinese is super helpful but I also use a translator app. The best thing is to step out of my comfort zone and try speaking. It's difficult but it's the fastest way to learn!

    Thank you for sharing your journey with us. What inspired you to study abroad in China? Sorry if you already answered this question in a previous video; I'm new to the channel.

      I explain my whole journey in my first video on my channel but to sum it up I really wanted to experience the economic boom China is having for myself. As a business major, I think China is a major part of global business in general so I wanted to learn more about it.

    "Cool video! It's really helpful for me as I'm graduating high school and planning to study in China. I'm curious, did you find it challenging to adjust to Chinese culture and daily routine, especially coming from New York? My biggest concern is making friends and dealing with loneliness, even though I'm social and communicative. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! 🙏"

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  Рік тому +1

      It will definitely be a significant adjustment especially if you are not used to being overseas for a long period of time. You must learn to adjust to new cultures and values while finding time to do what you know and love. The major cities here make it easier to adapt but if you find yourself in a lower-tier city it will be much more "Chinese-like." The best thing is to build a good support system with friends. Since you are social, use it to your advantage! Also, attend a ton of clubs and events to meet more people. Ask your supervisors and professors for recommendations too!

    what u sttudy in china? i wanna go there to learn chinese, some tips for me?

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  10 місяців тому +2

      I study international business. Some tips before arriving are doing some extensive research on the China but also the city you plan to stay in. For example what apps you will need, things you need to look out for, and the cultural norms you must follow. As for Chinese language, definitely start studying before hand especially if you aren’t going to be in a tier 1 city. This will help you get by and settle in the first few days when you arrive.
