We don't have a ford Nugget, we have a Autocruise Jazz campervan for the last 3 years and we modified that so we have two separate beds😂. But if we were going to replace with something smaller the Nugget would definitely be my number one👍just love that layout. I have enjoyed your journey so far with your Nugget, and as the Nugget gets more owners you channel will grow so keep up the informative vlogs👍
My more electrics savvy husband simply rotated the socket at the rear around 90 degs. Problem solved. He also swapped the 12v socket in the kitchen for another USB which is really useful👍
Great tips, particularly like the crank location and knowing about the support post potentially flipping the wrong way is good. We had similar power socket issues in our Benimar but the rear sockets in the Nugget Plus are in a different place so time will tell. Good idea about having the table leg more accessible, I’ll look into that when we finally take delivery (fingers crossed for next month). Keep up the great work, I’m seeing recommendations for you popping in in different places as ownership grows. Well done, next stop 2k subscribers?
Thanks so much Richard for your continued support. Hope these tips will help with your (fingers crossed) imminent delivery. Interesting re: sockets in LWB but I guess the different layout dictates where they go. Keep us posted how they go when you get yours.
Great tips, thank you. What is the brand of the velcro tape that you are using? I am looking for strong glue to hold up some old Brandrup bags from my old VW California onto the Nugget kitchen cupboard. The bags already have the hook side of the velcro tape sewn on them and I just need to glue the loop side onto the walls.
Hi , great tips , thank you , my question on the seating in the backnof the van , does the seating have child seat fixings ? as in isofix , ? , thank you love watching the channel , looks a lovely van
Thanks for watching. Yes- on the bench seat there are two isofix points. If you look on the 'exploring the nugget' playlist episode 7 family focus we show this and explain it a bit better! Hope this helps.
Great tips, thank you again. We used the same awning crank location. Concerned too about the flimsy moulding under the bench seat, we didn’t even have the strips supplied that you super glued. I’ve made a ‘C’ shape open box of hinged rigid plastic (yes, held by velcro) to secure both handle sections, as this plastic is far too weak when accessing the storage area. Our pop up mattress was supplied wrong way in, we decided that the narrow zip section needs to be over the driver’s seat end and found the set of poppers on the foam mattress (at the kitchen end) which connect with those on the van sides to hold the mattress securely at night, did you find them?
Hi CJS. Yes you are correct- the narrow zip section of mattress over the front end then the poppers on kitchen end keep mattress in place. Shame these things weren't as they should have been for your Nugget. Great that you have found this crank location works for your too. Love hearing how things work for other Nugget owners.
Have been thinking this, but a bit nervous about doing electric stuff. Could be an option but not sure what would happen with warranty etc. Might ask a ford dealer if it is something they can do...
@@SilverNuggetAdventure somewhere in my memory of looking at the lates Ford brochure, I vaguely remember an image of a socket in the kitchen area being like that. May be wrong though… thanks for replying look forward to more videos.
Really like your channel, light, informative and when we get our Nugget, really helpful, thank you. Wondered if I could ask a couple of questions, the pop top bunk, good for two adults, weight etc? And also do you think it would be possible (for an expert) to plumb in and outside gas barbie point? Many thanks in advance, completely understand if this stuff is not on your radar right now.
Thanks Smiler for your kind comments. Happy to answer any queries as best we can. As CJS mentions below, the pop top bed is designed to take adults. We have slept comfortably up there (rare! as usually the children sleep in the pop top: check out our 'date night with a difference' vlog in the Pembrokeshire playlist). You may also find Episode 5 in our 'exploring the nugget' playlist of use if you have not seen this already. Regarding your question about the BBQ point, in all honesty, not sure. Probably possible but would have to ask an expert- please keep us posted on this as we'd be really interested to know as this is something we may consider in the future. It may be worth you asking this in some of the facebook ford nugget forums that others have set up and quite useful in this type of thing.

That sounds like it's been a great option for you and brilliant that your husband could do it!

Wondering with the charging sockets. Is it possible to just turn the socket upside down so the charging plug fits upside down too?

The Westfalia Nugget handbook says the roof bed has a maximum load-bearing capacity of 250kg. It gives a comfortable sleep for two adults.
