The forced romance between the unicorn and the dragon fulfills a fantasy I had in Kid Pix when I was six, so it has that going for it.
Reminds me of the romance between Donkey and Dragon from Shrek.

@@simple-commentator-not-rea7345 I think that was Spike and Rarity. Spike was actually a kid, maybe 10, older, younger, who knows, and Rarity was in her teenage age. But yeah, too old and too young for each other.
@@dreamguardian8320 Rarity isn't a teenager I don't think, I'm pretty sure she's in her 20's. And it wasn't a mutual thing, either. Spike just had a crush on Rarity, and I don't think it's shown they're ever together. In fact, I'm pretty sure Rarity rejects him quite a bit.
@@toastandbutter7367 That's good then. I personally don't see child characters having crushes on adults as creepy since it is (unfortunately) not unrealistic. What matters is that Rarity never reciprocated nor encouraged him.
8:39 they're thumbs, but they're not opposable thumbs. I had a cat that carried the mutation, she had kittens before we were able to get her fixed. It's really just extra claws for them to scratch you with, not a door opening level game changer. Particularly fun when the kittens are in that stage where they play Sir Edmund Hilary and use your leg as Everest.

The condition is known as Polydactly. I know firsthand, because I have a cat with polydactly. He has 7 toes on one of his front paws, 6 on the other, and 5 each on the back paws.

I forgot this existed, I remember a few trailers when it came out, but then, until now, nobody ever mentioned or spoke of it again.

I had no idea what this was, but when he said, "How unlucky *are* you?!" it came back to me. I remember seeing the trailers and thinking, "Wow, that looks like trash."
Only thing I can say for certain is that they knew what they were doing when designing and animating the lady dragon

Honestly, I think it would've been better if she lied about giving the lucky penny to Hazel just so she can keep it to herself and finally have some good luck in her life, much like how Bob kept a lucky penny to himself.
That’s still selfishness. She wants to sacrifice anything and everything just so a girl can have a chance at a family. Which, by the way, she didn’t even help at all. She basically fucked up the Land of Luck, put it back together, and still achieved nothing. Hazel got the family normally, Sam did absolutely nothing to help her.

11:44 you're thinking of western dragons! Dragons are actually considered extremely lucky in China and other various Asian countries (and the depiction of the dragon in there is kinda accurate to Chinese dragons too, though I say kinda because it still has various feature seen in western dragons)

This is really just a nitpick but the concept of "official luck" always sort of falters because if you're "lucky" enough to guarantee results is that even luck anymore? Isn't it more like just magic that bends reality to your desires? There's no risk or odds involved so I don't think I'd call myself lucky if I hit 100% accuracy on blind shots.
Well, in reality luck is just an abstract concept that describes when random variables seemingly line up for you more or less than other people. OR, there is an unknown variable that is affecting your chances and therefore making you appear to be lucky.
But as a superstition/consept, luck does basically describe a supernatural force that can favor people. So by some interpretations, luck can work as a force of magic. Therefore you can be "super lucky" and have the best possible outcome 100% of the time
I watched a review of this movie a few months ago. When I saw the setup of an older, orphaned girl with some magical cat in the real world, I was hooked. Then they transported to some generic Disney type world with wacky dragons and leprechauns and my interest dropped to 0% just like that.
The movie really does kinda yadda yadda its way through everything - I know it's a kids movie, but usually there's something for adults/parents to enjoy too.

Honestly, I thought this movie looked interesting at first. And then it showed the magical luck world and completely lost me.
Ok. That “Ha” call back to the cucumber sin was pretty great.
as someone who grew up in the system, I was SO excited that they made a movie about it. But then I watched it and was disappointed in their execution. There is so much potential in a plotline about the foster care system and we need more representation

Without that context though it works so well in visually portraying the general exhaustion felt by many with those lives.
The film itself is fun and I like it a lot, but in order to be what it is, it can't go much deeper which is a shame
It was made by Apple, of course it only ever really existed to make the corporatization and privatization of things that should just be open to all seem like a good thing

I started watching this movie, fell asleep, and then forgot about it for like 2 months. It was like they used minimal effort to make it look unique or have an interesting story.

No. The green screen is rotoscoped out by hand.
There isn't a button you press to magically get rid of the green screen. It's just because green is easier to see, so you can paint out the green by hand.

That said, if she uses a computer program to key out the green, yes, the hat will get hit too, at least partially.. check any streamer with a green screen and any time they have something green

As someone who is a cartpusher at Walmart, I can confirm the carts can be like that before the store opens. It means whoever was closing at night for carts didn't come in or just chose to do a shit job.

Nope. It was Pixar's thing from some animators Because that was the room number they were in when they first digitally animated something toy story. No idea why this pathetic excuse for a movie tried to use it.

The saddest thing about this movie is me knowing foster care will hide these benfits from kids. Housing, help getting a job, life skills, etc. When you are a child you need people to look out for you. It is not your fault that some cruel person chose to not tell you at 18 you have benefits. So many homeless kids that aged out of foster care.

@@andreasdimopoulos5826 I believe she's supposed to be a Chinese/Eastern dragon. But even then, the design fails because she has a Western dragon's face with no whiskers and a body with no fur. Her horns should also have prongs, like a deer's antlers. Oh, and she shouldn't have those cheek fins, either.
