As a Minotaur tribal fan myself I love this Analysis. However, speaking from a commander perspective, it would be great to see more Minotaurs in white. It would also be great to see a Mardu colored Minotaur commander.
@@naktamunarchives It really would considering the overall color identity of Minotaurs today. And as much as I like him, I don’t want Mogis to be my only go too commander for Minotaur tribal.
I finally built Sethron as an EDH deck and I had a hard time with the 1 and 2 drop slots. I hope WotC prints some minotaurs in those slots that are actually playable.
I am so glad I came across this video. Minotaurs have secretly been one of my favorite tribes and it’s been infuriating we haven’t got more support. You spoke for me every complain I have you said in the video the lack of one and two drops you hit everything on the head perfectly. I even like the cards you came up with. I was crushed when we went back to Pharos and we didn’t get a lord or something to put in the one or two slot that really could drive the deck. Or if not a Lord a rage monger type of fact lower in the curve. Thank you for making this video hopefully somebody it was her come across this 👍🏻 help the cows 🐮
Very interesting. Didnt think anyone else cared for minotaurs as much as I do. Hurloon Bully is the coolest and fairest concept for a 1 drop minotaur ever. I fully support the creation of such flavor
@@naktamunarchives I recently made a Modern Minotaur deck with Heartless Summoning(2 drop enchantment) in the side board, stacked with Ragemonger and other keywords it can really snowball.
I run only minotaurs because god they’re just the only creature I adore. Furnace of Wrath+Jeska+Deathbellow War Cry and end with Fanatic of Mogis is Ragebloof is on the field. I did 20 damage then doubled plus having Sethron on field I get 4 token Minotaurs with deathbellow and a final fifth with fanatic.
I actually built a Pioneer Minotaur deck myself for 30 bucks. Im really hoping there's some interesting stuff in the future. Maybe, given how Angrath is a blacksmith, there can be some kind of artifact or equipment sub-theme with these guys?
I think Hurloon Bully as a one mana 2/1 with the same text plus Bully can't block would be effectively the same in the best case but with enough downside to see print in a standard set.
Need a +2 +2 lord, needs an enchantment to help with 2-1 minotaur tokens. Needs a mogis based boardwipe.... Destroy all non minotaur creatures..... Man .... That may actually help make it viable in commander. Maybe a minotaur raiding party ... That at the begining of your upkeep take control of target creature opponent controls with converted mana cost 3 or less.... Sacrifice it at end of turn. Maybe a wife for angrath.... Who's a priestess and can conjure tokens or buff for costs ie pay two red all minotaurs gain double strike till end of turn ... Pay 2 black all minotaurs gain +0 + 3 till end of turn.... for effectiveness on both your turn and your ops. Idk just spot balling here

Ahh my people. For so long i rocked a red/black minotaur tribal deck here at my local tourneys, i only had one persom cheering me on helping me tune it and make it semi competitve. Everyone else was annoying and kept telling me "minotaurs will never be competive, try building a good tribal deck 🤓☝️" but even without a playset of cavern of souls i would at least get top 5 a lot so i considered that a successful deck dammit. I love minotaurs. Currently looking at making a commander minotaur deck with Sethron as the commander 🙌 i also am a shiny addict lmao so not only are minotaurs metal as fuck but they are also cheap to bedazzle and buy shiny versions of everything 😂
i mean i could try, but minotaurs are meat and potatoes. feel like i don't really have as deep of an understanding of other tribes to do something akin to this. I have other ideas brewing, but ill keep this in mind.

Absolutely! a mardu minotaur commander would bridge so many gaps in the minotaur color identity.

Gnarled seemed bad, but was a flexible include. Changelings are uninspired, but get the job done.

A cost reducer could help with the glut of 3-drops
We have ragemonger, but its a 3 drop. but ya if there was a like a black two drop that reduced red or colorless mana on minotaurs that would be cool.

Usually the fist turn could be thoughtsieze, into bloodrage brawler or burning-fist minotaur, as first strike shuts down smaller creatures.

Even if the one drop was a vanila, it'd be better than the two currently out.
I have a 60 card minotaur tribal deck that turn 4 fatal swing with the right starting hand but most turn 6 fatal
