I hiked the Stairway to Heaven. It was amazing! I consider it a major accomplishment. Especially since I'm afraid of heights. Writing in the book at the top was just so awesome!

Top 3 REAL dangerous hikes on Oahu:
1. Kalihi Saddle
2. True Manamana (not Pu’u Manana)
3. Kalahaku Teeth or Eleao Ridge

Hey man. What drone did you use for the hikes? I am debating taking my Mavic Air 2 to 3 peaks but am worried it might not be able to stand the windward winds haha

I have hiked Halfdome in Yosemite, just did Angels landing in Zion, will be hiking clouds rest in Yosemite next month but now I have to do the stairway to heaven and three peaks on Oahu. Great video well done

Mayor Blangiardi is trying to tear down the stairs. It's too late to submit testimony against the removal because he rushed the hearing and kept it hush hush, but you can contact City and County of Honolulu Council members and let them know you want to save the stairs using a fee-based entry system. Hope we can save it!
how can you be hiking the most dangerous peaks and still be able to catch some amazing shots with your drone
great production quality man! just came back from my trip and feeling a little regret from not trying to tackle some of the harder hikes. i didn't bring crampons with me which kept me away from stairway to heaven, wish i gave crouching tiger a shot though. i ended up going for three pretty normal hikes -- manoa falls trail, diamond head, and koko crater. i'd say that koko crater was the only remotely difficult one, and i still flew up the trail.
Thank you! Those hikes are still pretty though! You'll have to make another trip to try these hikes. Theyre definitely worth it!

I live here. Someone’s posted at the entrance all the time so you’ve always gotta go through the bamboo forest now
I agree with Nicole. The entrance is so heavily guarded. Definitely recommend going through bamboo forest way like Nicole said. Sad to see such a beautiful hike be illegal.

I've done Crouching Lion up to the Crouching Lion rock. It's not super hard. There's only one section that is sketchy because it's like a cliff wall of crumbly dirt. The back section above Crouching Lion, Pu'u Manamana Turnover, is the more notorious part. Anyway, I'm about 5-6 years older than I was when I did any major hikes, and I wouldn't attempt any of them again! lol
You're right and Pu'u... definitely much more complicated than crouching lion. I told him... lanahuli, kalihi saddles and moanalua middle saddle going up to stairway to heaven.
Olomana 3 peaks is not easy
The third peak for almost the entire route going up hill is totally exposed ( don't go there ) haiku staircase is an island treasure that should be preserved not torn down like they plan ... I love that place.

You can do stairway to heaven the reverse way by going through the back of tripler hospital. It's a couple mile hike or more to top of the stairway.
how much was the fine when you got caught trying to hike up the stairs ?
its $1000 if you are caught on stairway to heaven. I live here and that's what it is now. I've heard people say there is sometimes a cop at the top. imagine hiking for 4hours thinking you made it just to get slapped with a $1000 ticket lol.

I could have sworn that I read that they started issuing a limited number of permits to hike the stairs. This was maybe a year ago. If so, I'm sure it's rediculus expensive.

Crounching lion wasn't too bad. Only if you go up to the ridge part it's real sketchy

Everyone needs to know Olomana (3 Peaks) is not for the faint of heart especially peak 2 to peak 3. Im shocked you aren’t asked to put on gear and rope up for like a handful of sections

Yeah, I know there are alot more dangerous hikes. These were the only three I had time to see. I actually planned on going to Pali Notches. Next time tho :)

@@Livingtheglobe .. and the legal way is more dangerous than the stairs. You have ropes and narrow ridges to deal with. The stairs are more spectacular.
@@radrandall there is, the only difference is it’s waaaay longer. Most ppl take to “legal” way then go down the stairs hope this helps
