Man all this talk of needing a superstar beside Curry is stupid. Let me remind all you that they were not superstars when they won their first title. All the Warriors need is competent players around Curry. Period. We had it in 22, we have it again now this season. Ring 5 loading.
Hey Dj, the problem is that the talent is to far distributed. They can win as is, but let's say you go 10 deep, which 4 players will be out of the rotation? The Warriors had a strong starting 5 when they won, stronger than they have currently.
@@SwishCulture the playoffs are built for game to game adjustments. The fact we have a roster that's deep means we can solve problems based on our needs on a series by series basis.
You don't have to have another clear superstar, but you need to have enough talent which they don't. AT the very least, they don't have enough talent that fits together on the floor on both ends
I agree on Moody and Kuminga. Starters should be Steph, Moody, Kuminga, Draymond and TJD. Bring in Hield and Wiggins early and then bring in Podz at point when Steph sits. Draymond should do less than 10 minutes a game at center, and often not at all. Loon did what he had to do to get quicker and let him bang. Work in Melton and Anderson often. This 10-man rotation can win it all, but it needs a Luke Walton or Mike Brown minutes management
I like your take, but I do see one potential problem - what if Kuminga, Moody, and Podz all perform well in the first half of the season? Who do you move? Do you move anyone at all and potentially upset the chemistry of the team just because the roster is too deep? Then do you have enough in-house to make a run at the finals WITHOUT a trade? As much as I love Podz, the crazy depth at his position emphasizes just how valuable the Lauri Markkanen move would have been. It would have given the Warriors a versatile big who could both stretch the floor and provide additional rim protection on defense. Now the Warriors will have to find a way to cash in on their depth at the 2/3 before the trade deadline, and they may end up giving away Podz for less than Markkanen. I hope the team has some master plan to get a high value trade before the deadline. Otherwise, you're exactly right: finding the minutes for everyone is going to be a major problem. Young players don't stay patient forever. At some point, each of them is going to want to say, "Hey, I've waited long enough. It's my turn now." That could blow back on Kerr AND Steph, and I hate to think about what Draymond would do if there starts to be real locker room problems.

That's right: time for JK & Moody to sink or swim. As for what we're missing, don't get distracted by Shiny Object Syndrome. We need consolidate a few players and a pick to grab a truly beefy rim protector on D who can at least pass and not clog the cutting lanes on O.
We probably should've traded Wiggs in the off-season, but I feel like this year will be the one he returns to form. However, if we're 10 games in and 5-5 and he's shooting 3 for 9 from 3 and 5 for 29 in games, then it's time to trade for draft picks. A deal with Atlanta for draft pics and a swap piece for another trade could work. Curry's health will be a problem as well, so we should keep him at 30-34m, and give more time to Podz or Payton to run the offense, at least until Melton or Hield understand it enough to play the 1. I also think in games where the warriors are getting bullied in the backcourt, they should pull him out early so he's not fried by the end of the game. Let the young guns take some of the slack. well doesn't help when he had three players he could rely on curry, klay and draymond normally, but klay wasn't the same so he had to look who work with curry and do what klay used to do and to add to that draymond kept getting suspended, you had kuminga who wanted more minutes anad you need rotations where players work well together so last season was a mess
One of the things that appears to be missing this year that i loved watching are all the easy alley-oops to trace-JD! Klay and CP3 both seemed to dish them out effortlessly. Those points also helped to invigorate the team and in particular TDJ.
i think thats the good motivator for them, they know Klay is in the good team, a possibility to beat them having more championship is high, thats why they need to champ now so badly
When i told people that the Warriors were just fine, they were acting like i was crazy. People acting like this team isnt a contender with this roster are out of their minds.
I want Kerr to have a second line with guaranteed minutes. The lineup I’d like is Podz, Moody, JK, Gui and TJD. They are young vets and can run and gun like the early Steph teams.
For my opinion, Kerr should maximize/give some extra playing on moody and kuminga like you said on your video to evaluate them , and to grow as a player
The minutes thing will work itself out. If we can blow teams out of the water with a strong third-quarter run, our starters get to sit for the fourth-quarter. We already saw this. We’ve seen this so many times already. There are plenty of capable players ready in case somebody gets injured. Happy about that.
Good showing so far, although let's see how they do against the top dogs in the league. I personally think GS will be top 3 in the West this year. If the Dubs can get back to top 5 or so in total D, they will be alright.
Kuminga and Moody are in contract years so they will ball out. I read that Loon was putting up 400-500 threes a day during the off season, and that he was a 40% 3 point shooter in college. Could he become a stretch 5?
Let them boys play! I don't understand what the importance of starting, especially if you build a deep team like this... you see what Steph did off the bench... Steph and Dra running the two's would be devastating!
If JK and Mood can't improve their game to the next level this season, then the management should trade 'em to GG Jackson. The kid plays like a combo of Giannis and KD, making him an all-star in the making, if he stays healthy.
All right, I’ll say this at the end of the video. I think the main ones who probably should be traded is Moody and Podz. Kuminga going I think 4/7 from3 well still showcasing athleticism driving to the rim. Moody deserves an opportunity to shine in the reality is it probably won’t happen on the Warriors he always be a rotational guy to Steve Kerr somehow
I don't think Steve Kerr is such a great coach. What GSW won, they won in great part due to Defense. Since Mike Brown's (defensive coach at GSW) left the team, GSW has been a Fan Ulcer. They have kept up with the offense (Kerr learned well as a Bulls player), but defense is non-existent and Kerr doesn't have the skill set to teach or manage defense.
The only log jam unfortunately is at guard depth. Warriors could get a legit 7 footer it would round out the roster. The reality is even if the Warriors stood Pat as long as they’re winning, everyone else will be happy. I have serious doubts that Podz will go LeBron type narcissist on us over it
Well fresh start with new faces and old faces but if they come together with a healthy season I'm sure they will be a Dark Horse Team when playoffs arrived 😇
Lets be real.... Warriors can be very lethal defensively they have to bring defensive tenacity but no big man will hurt them a lot.... Depending most on outside shooting that will be too one dimensional ... We need kuminga and wiggins to attack, have top3 defense to even reach the west finals
bro i can say this, if its teams in regular season they can switch 5 for 5. after 8 minutes of game time then let the second unit start the second quarter for 6 then switch again. but if its an important game really, need to stick curry longer than should be then switch the 4.
Trade Wiggins. Also gonna need a to pick up a big or someone like TJD to be more dominant. He’s gonna have to face the likes of Joker, AD, Wemby, Kat, Porzingis, etc…gotta be able to block shots and protect the paint.
@@JP-ks7ey why are u making statements about things we already know? Talking about our centers(preferably TJD) establishing dominance in the paint and addition to freeing space(trading Wiggs) for someone who wants to show up and perform. We don’t another guard…need some defense/size.
We need people who can average 20+ JK, buddy, melton can do that (obviously Steph). Moody can avg 10-15 easily. Podz will play 20 mins and only take 4 shots which make him a liability
There is no other way... curry will be on limited minutes to ensure play off run if they can qualify for it. There will be potential to play kumingga mand moody minutes .. due to that and no other stars taking more mjnutes (CP3, Klay etc.)
I wouldn't start Kevon Looney, and it looks like your penciling in Wiggins at the shooting guard, I don't like that either.the problem is Wiggins and Kuminga play the exact same position. I would start Trayce Davis at center, Draymond at the 4 position, Wiggins at the 3, Buddy Hield at the 2, and Curry at the point. I keep telling you Swish that Buddy Hield is the X factor with this team, I've been screaming his name for 2 seasons and here we are. Wiggins foot speed is not good at the shooting guard despite his athleticism. I wouldn't max Kuminga minutes because it would open him up to injuries, I'm not totally sold on the conditioning of his body to hold up 35 minutes a game. I would play Hield at or around 30 minutes a game, along with Curry, Green and Wiggins. Kuminga should receive at or around 27 minutes a game, Moody should get 25 a gameTrayce should receive 25 per game as well. The jury is still out on Anderson.
why not start loon? Wiggins guards 1-3 so he has no problem playing the 2. Ever heard of the "hield cycle"? Let me know what you know about that. I'll hold off judgment but for now, he's getting some flowers.
People please quiet this noise about needing another superstar for Warriors……winning will solve all of this talk about not enough minutes for certain players that seem to bother all of these podcast pundit/fans. All of whom keep saying that Curry and Green have to play heavy mins in the regular season if this team is going to win, well I disagree. The Warriors have enough depth to still win without playing any player heavy minutes and if they are pros they have to learn to maximize every minute they get whether it’s 10 mins or 25 mins. The playoffs should be the goal for this team and winning in the playoffs should be this team’s priority going forward. People are afraid of change and that’s what all of this depth that the Warriors have screams…….it screams CHANGE! The Warriors can win with a new formula in my opinion!!! Everyone should just be patient and let’s see how the season goes because a lot of things can occur unexpectedly in an NBA season that could change the dynamics of the entire Western Conference this upcoming year!!!
The team is not stacked with talent, it is stacked with ok players almost of whom have serious flaws. That is nothing new or unique to this team though. What it really lacks is high end talent. Steph stands alone on this roster as the only star player. The team did the sort of thing against the Kings that they will have to against the entire league, take and make and absurd amount of threes. That's how you make up for a lack of talent, size and athleticism. But the Kings were absolute trash defensively for moist of the game the better teams in the league won't let this team get that hot all the time. While the situation is better than last season with a greater variety of threats and no Klank to stall the offence it's fools gold if you think the team is going to shoot that well game after game. Either they just accept that they are who they are with this roster and maybe make the play-in or they actually make a move at the deadline and consolidate some of their role players and young guys into another high level talent to go alongside Steph. I'm not sure anyone really earth shattering is likely to be available but you never know.
Exactly. Steve Kerr is a good guy, but he is the one reason we struggle to get to the playoffs and win. Steve Kerr is like the CEO of a company who believes his system makes the players. He should understand that systems don’t win championships. Instead it the heart of the players that win championships. Steve Kerr is the reason we will see similar results of last season. He has outlived his coaching ability.

Warriors in 2k mode this season!
He’s gonna have to face the likes of Joker, AD, Wemby, Kat, Porzingis, etc…gotta be able to block shots and protect the paint.
they hav a 7 ft C
@@JP-ks7ey why are u making statements about things we already know? Talking about our centers(preferably TJD) establishing dominance in the paint and addition to freeing space(trading Wiggs) for someone who wants to show up and perform.
We don’t another guard…need some defense/size.
Conference finals champs..at least conference finalists..bare minimum
28 threes baby LFG
Buddy Hield is MVP🔥
Remember in 22 when curry basically won a ring by himself lol why nobody ever talk about that
Stay chill, last year people also said gsw unstopable, but in fact they had problems. I love GSW but stay humble.
We need people who can average 20+ JK, buddy, melton can do that (obviously Steph). Moody can avg 10-15 easily. Podz will play 20 mins and only take 4 shots which make him a liability
The Warriors cant defend. Period. End of story.
sure or not, i heard the same thing last season, all the hype....amounted to nothing
Yes Kerr is the problem he’s not being flexible
Agreed.
There is no other way... curry will be on limited minutes to ensure play off run if they can qualify for it. There will be potential to play kumingga mand moody minutes .. due to that and no other stars taking more mjnutes (CP3, Klay etc.)
I see another ring with the warriors... Wiggins doesn't want to play with the warriors better trade him..
So glad Klay is gone.
Yes 👈
GSW-reloaded-2024
Yes sir
Nah, Kuminga been more consistent than wiggins. Kuminga also seems to put in more effort and energy.
Golden splash warrior
LeDraymond will stop the Warriors...in the klutch
Yes give ample to Kumimga, !moody and Podz eveb Gui Santos because he isbig and good shooter
I'm one of if the not biggest warriors fan,but pre season doesn't mean shit
After two preseason games the comments thinks the warriors Are going to win it. 😂😂😂
After two preseason games, you roll in with your wagon.
I’m playing 2K24 right now and my starting 5 is Curry, Wiggins, JK, Green, and TJD - I’m 59-2

@@Greenhornet204 what is wrong?
Splash Army
