Having lived less than 5 minutes from Col. Parkers house in Madison for 40 years, I would have never guessed all this treasure trove of Elvis was in the residence. Had I known, I might have been trying to go through a back window! ; ) (only joking!...wouldn't want to get arrested!) But, this is just fantastic....what history was stored there! Just jaw dropping! WOW!
I lived in Madison TN for 23 years and loved the idea that Col. Parker's office was there. Thanks to the husband and wife that saved it from being a car wash
The biggest mistake of Elvis career was not touring the world it would have made a fortune and saved Elvis having to tour constantly one night shows around the USA ..
As I stated in my comments, ELVIS sold over $200 million worth of recordings three months after his death. Jackson didn't come close to those numbers. ELVIS didn't need the technology that was available during Jackson's lifetime.
donn409 yea but Elvis time u had to buy a record to listen to him now u can just pull out your phone and bam UA-cam Jackson would have sold a lot more after he died if u had to purchase a record
had elvis had the technology available to him like jackson had at the time of his death Elvis would have easily sold 5 times the amount that jackson had ..back in the 70's there was no down loading or itunes or youtube or amazon ..no internet so what elvis achived in 1977 was massive .
what i am saying is elvis' recordings would have been more easily accessed had he had the technology to reach further climbs ..elvis would have loved the internet, elvis had the talent and the pulling power ..for example had elvis died this year his funeral would have been so much more an event than it was in 1977..look at jackson and houstons funerals !! can you imagine if that had been elvis' sending off?? wow
I agree that ELVIS could have been even bigger had the internet existed in his day but the facts are he is still bigger than Jackson and Houston. As far as the funeral comparisons go people didn't line up for miles for Jackson or Houston like they did for ELVIS in 1977 despite there being no internet or cable t.v. available. We're still talking about ELVIS more than 30 years after his death. Jackson's and Houston's deaths quickly faded from the public consciousness and it only took months.
Elvis could have achieved so much more if he had a real manager instead of an incompetent fool like Parker. That he remained as successful as he did is testament to his talent.

Without Tom Parker, Elvis would not have achieved the success he got. From this video it shows how well organised Col.Tom was & he only focussed on Elvis's career. Of course he has to make money as he is not running the Red Cross!
Hiring Tom Parker was one of the biggest mistakes Elvis ever made. A decent Promoter, maybe, but there were REAL management agencies that dreamed of representing someone of his talent. Sing, Dance, and Act... He gave us his soul! Parker made a carnival act out of him...
Parker and RCA knew ELVIS' back catalog was worth much more than that. Three months after ELVIS' death RCA had sold over $200 million worth of recordings alone. ELVIS easily made over $1 billion in 1977. Compare that with the $310 million Michael Jackson's estate has made since his death in 2009.
Col. Parker could have managed anybody, including the Beatles but he always said he was ELVIS' manager. ELVIS had to be making a killing even in the years prior to his death for Parker to refuse to take on new clients. Parker evidently didn't need the money. I do question him selling the rights to ELVIS' recordings to RCA in 1976 for $5 million.
Parker was making huge amounts of money by exploiting Elvis Presley. His problem was that he was a degenerate gambler who would lose money on roulette as fast as he would get it. In some cases he took 50% of the money earned by Elvis Presley. He made some very bad decisions and worked Elvis Presley beyond human endurance. I believe Parker and his exploitation of Elvis played a very significant role in his deteriorating health and untimely death
Thanks for sharing this rare bit of footage

Did all of the stuff in the house end up with EPE at Graceland?
Yes it did, when EPE purchased everything from Parkers mass collection from over the years.
