Im trying to perform preventative maintenance on my new to me boat 's windlass. The windlass works as desired, but i cannot get the gypsy hub cap to break free. Is there a proper procedure to help this get freed?
Have a2021 pro fish 1000 used it 3- times on our 2021 new boat, it want go down , but when u hand feed the chain down, the winch will retrive it up!!!! How can I fix this problem???

Maybe design a windlass that doesn’t leak like a sieve.
Hey Harcourt! How about the constant stripping of the Shoulder Bolt that retains the Cap? How bout that????
