I'll be honest. some part of it coudlve been cut. but idk if I would called the ending bittersweet. they kind of end up right where they started but this time above ground and maybe this time no miasma

two ideas come to mind is if the world got reset but without the miasma so they are doing their thing or the world got cleansed of miasma but the people are still gone.

I agree!! It was confusing, but I still loved the ending just as much as I loved the rest of the game. There should’ve been dialogue spent explaining filler taken out and replaced with dialogue explaining story at the end of the game, but still, it was very bittersweet. My favorite game ever
