Also, you don't need to go on the diagonal for the Chaos Guardian, it can be found at any 10K coordinate. Eg. 10000 - 0 or 0 - 10000, it isn't found only at 10K x 10K or 20K x 20K
For the crystals, you cannot destroy them at all unless they're super critical. Unless you have a Chaos tool, those tools can make it go supercritical.
The laser beam can also be survived by hiding behind the pillars, you just need to hide further away from the pillar, not touching against it.
Also with best Jetpack you can partially fight against it's pulls and you can also fly fast enough so you fly faster than the dragon, which makes it easier to kill.
and he gets stronger like the 10k dragons are easy but the 40k dragons have more life and use there moves at a higher rate
@@Drunkenborn Oh really ? I actually didn't know that. In my playthough I can spam kill the drag within 10 min, might go and hunt one down at like 100K x 100K. That is actually cool!
@@miner28_3 yea i play on a server and the ones near the endisland are most time dead its fun but sometimes annoying if he spamms his move where he sits in the middle and summons wither XD

Yes to all just the laser part, you dont need to be that far away, you just need a few blocks in its way. Chosendied so much because he didnt take cover and when he did he didnt stand still.
Also the laser does void dmg so it will kill you even in gm
You can survive the laser by standing behind the pillar. You just need to stay away a bit more. The laser has an AOE. It took me a while to realize that too. :)
Btw if I remember correctly the laser can kill you in creative too.
you can also survive with the staff of travelling by porting into the chaos crystal chamber
I used fully apotheosised pneumaticraft armor, the jetboots in that tend to get overlooked in flight prevention. Then an apotheosised ars nouveau spell bow that I had perfect gems on. 2 or 3 lightning gems for speed and a blood lord gem for 250% damage increase. The laser was still able to kill me, it even cuts through creative if you're curious so any sort of death prevention will not work. To avoid the laser specifically you simply have to not get hit by it. So a witherproof tinted glass box on a copy paste gadget is a neat little trick. Your armor wasn't stopping momentum so the laser could move you around when behind a wall, pneumaticraft boots have jetboots stabilizers which prevent that. The rest of his attacks are meh when you max your armor as much as possible with apotheosis.
Ahhh classic Draconic. Making the numbers so big everything else is irrelevant. Some things never change.

Nah they changed, old version is much more op(worse) the boss do true/void damage killing u in a second in game mode 1
Essentially all the tips you will need for the dragon fight:
1. Use advanced dislocator blink functionality (its a new thing in this version, need to set a hotkey in settings to use it)
2. The towers can only be destoryed when they are vulnerable (aka. shooting the white particales after the dragon attacks them) or with draconic tier tools (need chaos shards for upgrade)
3. You can avoid the beam to a degree (using totems is a must basically) but flying behind the pillars AND keeping a distance away from the pillars
4. Other phases are relativly simple to beat as it simply either fires fireballs or spawns withers (check out the mod page on modrinth for a more detailed list of the fights)
5. Craft the Draconic Evolution bow and upgrade it to the max (note that speed decreases accuracy) and enchant it also (dosent offer much but dosent hurt)
6. From the first chaos shards, upgrade your bow since the chaotic bow can destory the crystals without needing the dragon to damage them and its really powerfull
and after that point is just farming him or making the bee
Also the dragon islands spaws every 10k blocks (so x=10k, z=10k --- x=20k, z=20k so not just diagonally)
Use jetpack to escape the laser beam. Mekasuit doesn't work with draconic 1.20 :( . And draconic bow will help you destroy those crystals more quickly.
That dragon fight looked exactly like mine. That chaos dragon just kills.
i was using a flux elytra, it has rocket flight , automate GRavestones and getting the totem of undying item off him its a lamp and you can Hold hundreds of them since they stack , its a Great way to avoid death .
My friends and I beat the pack and got the ATM star last night, and I can confidently say that the Chaos Guardian fight was probably the worst part of entire playthrough. I really wish there was more documentation and implementation by the ATM team within the modpack because it was really brutal having to figure out what worked-and painfully didn’t-for 1.20.1 Draconic.
For anyone wondering, No mekanism armor does not prevent death

The pattern provider can send millions of items at the same time if you set a recipe for the cobblestone 6x crafting
You can outtank and heal after each wave of chaos dragon attacks with enough shields (4x of the combined one) and shield regens + 2 revive totems. You can also hold a totem in your offhand (though at most you'll pop one).
I have never played Draconic Evolution and just got into modded with ATM8 ... watching this video makes me think I have zero chance of beating the chaos dragon ... and sadly that is required for the ATM star ... oh well ... might not be in my future after all ... after all the grind I put in to get going on the materials for the star
just look at all the tips and videos of the dragon to fight it. there are many creative ways of beating it easily
Haven’t fought the guardian yet but two things I will likely do. 1 Draconic bow is probably super useful. Curious if it will work with Apotheosis to increase draw speed and arrow velocity. 2 the one time you survived the laser was with the teleport staff when you got out of range. I’d probably put a teleport anchor down out of range and right click to teleport to it anytime it charges up. Could also use something like a stack of warp scrolls from Ars. Just something to quickly teleport you out of range from the laser to reengage the dragon. Also saw another comment of standing behind wither proof glass. I’d set a teleport location to directly behind that or within a box of it n case you can’t actually get out of the laser beam range. Not really sure but this will likely be my approach
Yes, you can enchant the bow and armor with apotheosis (mine is legendary with the god-forged pearls) and with gems slotted too.
The laser is definitely a struggle but standing behind the pillar (with a bit of distance to avoid the lasers area) is how to avoid that mechanic.
To survive the beam without hiding, you basically need to max out your shield AND recovery in the draconic chestpiece, as well as having enough power generation to keep up. The gem armor does *nothing* against it.
The chaos guardian fight is just a trash design. In whatever kind of modpack that has DE, when I need to fight the dragon, I basically have some kind of armor set to void all damage, except the fricking lasser. The whole fight is just like fighting the ender dragon, but much longer waiting for the guardian to exit its invulnerable state. There is no tactic nor skill, just suffering. I don't feel happy when kill it, it is more like some kind of relief.
It's stupid design why can he pull you and disable angle rings the cc is so frustrating even if I can take the damage I can barely move around
Tge intended way to aurvive the laser is to hide behiya pillar or othwr obsidian, I think ot has a kill effect that's not just damage
This dragon can kill you if you in creative mode. It's very hard boss
draconic evolution as a whole used to be so much better the textures and bossfights and etc used to be so much more interesting.
like 4 years ago the whole platform would explode the arena was cooler the armor looks good and its not just a weird harness and the tools looked amazing

I think if have absorption and regeneration charm from apotheosis can help little with the chaos dragon
I now have zero idea why draconic evolution is in like every big modpack.
Its one of the best endgame mod. And its also high quality
meka armor has an Anti-Laser-Module I think so the beam does zero damage.
and I think in 1.12 you get one shot with Gem Armor as well
I have tested it and it did not work with draconic 1.20. Only draconic armor can reduce the damage.
those are meant to work against the lasers from mekaism for the fusion reactor. draconic evolution is special in that you are practically forced to use the shield (it does a special damage type that bypasses any armor) to actually survive in the fight outside of death saving items / enchantments like last stand which drains exp to keep you alive.
It's why I always skip getting gem armor, it's full of annoying effects you can't turn off and it's shit against anything that bypasses armor anyways. It was busted back in 1.2.5 but with the advent of tinker's construct with rapiers and even potions of instant harming makes the shit useless in pvp or anything.

The dragon is located at any multiplication of 10,000 blocks . Can be 10,000 , 0 which is what I did .
the Chaos Guardian's laser attack, will even kill the player in Creative btw.

No matter how much you prepare for it, this f dragon will just kill you
hes is not that hard if he lasers stand behind the pillar the pillar stops the beam and to kill the towers just let him hit them with his fireballs then they sparkle and you kann destroy them with a draconic bow if you have all down then you can attack him
I tried standing behind the towers and it was still killing me
@@ChosenArchitectthe pillar blocks most of the damage but not all so with the right gear you can survive it. I used a socketed and upgraded mekasuit with an upgraded draconic chest piece and was fine.

I tanked the Lazer with oakskin and an allthemodium apple and I didn't have a draconic chest plate
for frickin laser beam just stand behind a pillar and back up until it doesn't hit you
but it pulls you down to the ground the same time the lazer is going off

No baubley hearts in the modpack unfortunately. It's only in atm9.

Maybe you can but there is no real drop from them outside of draconium

if you get an axe from silent gear plus the apotheosis buffs afixes to max current health as damage, you can basically one tap i think if you fly close to it in that last phase, but ill have still to figure out ways to break the crystals faster, does anyone know if that dragonic staff can be infused with afixes?
