Drivers having a value makes me think they planned on allowing us to create a team
Hopefully in next year’s game. Really hope this is in IndyCar’s first game as well.
It could be complicated with drivers being contracted to certain teams and manufacturers IRL. For example you wouldn’t be able to sign Bubba to a Chevy team. But I’d love to see something worked out on that front
Probably they created it but then they removed it because caused the game to crash more often

To be fair that was basically every F1 career mode until 2019 so I think it was time NASCAR hopped on the bandwagon. 🤣🤣🤣

I thought so, too. I wonder if the ratings go up and down based on their performances year to year. Not sure where they got their team ratings from. It could be based on the average driver rating of their team members.
I will say, as many bugs as this game has early on, I love how when you push a guy in the corner, they start to lose it if it isn’t a square hit which makes it look so good when it comes to the drafting/pushing physics

Nothing really got fixed, there is just a working game beneath the issues. We're seeing here the game is really inconsistent
So glad they brought back driver stats, been missing for awhile. Just something easy for them to do. Hopefully more bugs get fixed because the game has high potential

I mean Content Creators got a early build of the game which most games in early builds have bugs and stuff like that and most get patched before the actual release

They spent a lot of time getting the structure and foundation of the game. I think in the next game after is where everything is gonna be more in depth.

@@dicloniusgames Exactly. They even said they want to add trucks and xfinity, and have a much more in depth career mode. What they can do now in this game is just release updates to fix the bugs. They have the resources and tools to improve more unlike NASCAR Heat on unity engines
@KingCLG Because this isn't NASCAR Heat and this is a brand new game from scratch, I can say "in the next game" at least once. Maybe twice if the second game becomes much better and there's one thing that could be added in that wasn't in the second game. Besides they needed to release a game this year and after 2 years of getting all the tracks laser scanned, and improved graphics, and a decent physics, I'm sure they wanted to release in in 2022.
they cant add everything the game would be unplayable. given the time they've had working on it. its basically ground up and this is 6 months of work give it time. were all exited to finally witness this

I think that sums it up based on what I've seen. The foundation looks there. It just needs polish (a toooooooon of it but polish) and tweaking. I think we're closer to NTG:2011 territory than we are to Heat Evolution but we're still not in a great place. Needs work (a lot of it) but that first run at least gives me confidence that something is there to be found.

this is the first gameplay i’ve genuinely enjoyed watching and been encouraged by. racing, graphics, physics, Ai (for the most part), all look great! excited for more career mode

So so far, this is how things have gone.
Game is announced as something besides heat 6, little bits of positive stuff like the paint booth are revealed to be in the game, and hype grows, and keeps growing, and practically skyrockets when the trailer comes out, only growing during the demos. Then the YT people get it and everyone hates it now, but there may be a spark of hope. I'm always really optimistic when it comes to this game but I think they'll fix stuff eventually and get us a good game.

The game had some bugs no doubt, but I think a lot of these youtubers are getting mad about the game because that is who they are on their channel. It gets more views to pick an extreme side than being honest, so most of them just rip it apart even though they are going to keep playing it.

Really cool attention to detail piece I noticed was the #15 RWR car was a Camaro but the #53 RWR car was a Mustang. True to real life with the mixed manufacturer bodies at RWR

while driving through garage area it would be cool to see crews working each cars and be able to turn into your own garage stall and interact with fans reporters walk around etc etc
The level of detail in the garage is intense, like... that's way beyond expectations. It's a bit of a shame they start practice out on a flying lap, it'd be awesome to let us pull out from there to get more use out of that area. This game has some beautiful aspects, but so many blemishes so far. I hope they can clean it up, I genuinely do.

The devs released the last build to lower expectations, then patched everything to save sales lmao
Michael McDowell is a really good plate racer, if you watch the races, he’s actually typically up front in most of the plate races, 99 is a little high, but I definitely think he should be in the low to mid 90’s.
McDowells average finish at superspeedways is 24.1..

Interesting that in your career every team offered a 36 race deal.. watched a content creator last night and he had all different teams offering different lengths of races. MBM/RWR and others had way shorter schedules.. it was awesome to see
I think they game radman the championship edition, which gives you a career boost that let's you have a full time first season.....if you get the base game, you get part time offers.

As someone else has said, drivers having a value could mean making a team was planned. I think that’s cool. It was also mentioned drivers who drive for Toyota couldn’t be on the same team as a driver who drives for Ford. Thus, if you start a team, you would be given an option between Ford, Toyota and Chevy. Let’s say you pick Chevy, you would be given the option between all Chevy drivers, Kurt, Chase, William, Bowman, etc.
Spotter really wants to make sure he keeps the job. :)
That schedule looks almost like the nascar 07 schedule. I loved the look of that schedule and the color coding between the different series. If they add they other series I’d be curious if the schedule looks similar.

I’m sad that NASCAR Thunder 2003 career mode ended for good but I’m excited and a little nervous for this game lol and then excited for the next NASCAR thunder career mode in the future. Also do we get the option to skip a race like in Heat Career mode? If not that’s not a big deal.
You can skip a race if you want to. There is a button to sim one session at a time (Practice, Qualifying, & Race).

Interestingly enough, Michael Mrucz had the option of part-season deals for his (For example, Beard was six races, StarCom 24, etc.). Take that how you will.
Potential is definitely there. I’m cutting them slack as this is a brand new build from the ground up. Hope they continue to work hard fixing all these bugs, I don’t like sudden pause and advance to pit when the caution comes out. Car also seems to be outside the box when the crew services it. A lot of little things they need to iron out.
I can’t believe anyone would cut them slack. They had ample time and could have taken more time to make a great game. Some of the worst nascar games before this had way more options of gameplay and other great stuff. As far as I’m concerned it overall worse than Nascar Heat

A couple of things I'm seeing one thing is I would like to see them put Xfinity series and truck series in the game

Bowman and Byron are also the ones who qualified on the front row for the Daytona 500 in real life. William Byron started at the rear though
So I'm wondering why they will let you drive in the garage area if they just throw you on the track. It's probably wishful thinking but maybe just maybe after release we'll get to drive from the garage to the track.

I was shocked by how different it was in the first 15 laps. It looked great. If they can fix the bugs (and add private lobbies for those that want that), then I think it could be spectacular. All the stats being there is awesome to see!

You can drive to garages cause they originally were going to let you drive in and out manually. So it's remnants of just ANOTHER deleted/missing feature.

Honestly you going into the infield has to be hands down one of the coolest features of the game, I wish you were able to drive out of the garage for practice and qualifying but the fact your still able to do that amazes me. Good on them for letting people do that, if it wasn’t intentional I hope they keep it, that’s honestly really awesome. Other that that, just gotta fix some bugs and I think we’re good

It might not change anything but try and see if using a longer race length turns on stages. I could be wrong but kind of remember Heat 5 not allowing stages for the shorter races.

There are tons of signs that the game is unfinished. You can drive i
to the garage when you aren't supposed to. You get a prompt to stay behind cars on restarts as if you have manual control. You can kind of make custom setups in the pits, as if custom setups were supposed to be in the game. The UI in multiplayer is more complicated than necessary unless custom lobbies was meant to be a multipayer game mode. In the announcement trailer, pit crew faces were halfway finished. There are no stages. For whatever reason, the game is unfinished.

The Twitter page for nascar 21 just posted that they are listening to the fans and customers for this game about the bugs and will be fixing them

This is easily still the best gameplay of NASCAR 21 so far
A few things that I think need to be there:
I don't like how a caution comes out and it just instantly pauses and asks you to pit. I think there should be options. Either you do like a Nascar thunder style where you watch the car for part of it and the pitstop and that's it. Or like an F1 style safety car where you still drive the car but are limited in speed behind the pace car/cars ahead and actually drive the car to pit road where the AI brings the car to your pitbox. That just breaks the immersion so bad and I think F1 does it so well.
Anther thing and I see a lot of racing games do this but: THE GREEN FLAG COMES OUT BEFORE THE FINISH LINE. I mean it looks like everyone gets going beforehand but you can't even control the car until you get to the finish line. I don't like it. You should be able to try to time your restarts, that's a huge part of NASCAR.
This is just a couple things I noticed besides the stuff Radman already pointed out. Steering assist always being on is laughable. You can't sell a racing game like that. Spotter is insane. And yellow flags being as random as they are is also very strange.
Also I know @Realradman said it was a good thing they modelled the garage, but it's such a what if. Like you can only go there by driving backwards like it's an Easter egg or something. When you leave the garage you should be able to watch the car come out of the garage and then out of the pits and be able to make an outlap or have an option to skip the outlap and start at the current place. It's these kinds of immersion things that I think make games like this great. This goes for the pace laps too. One minute the window get is up the next your taking the green flag. Just copy the NASCAR thunder games and show the field rolling off and then show everyone making pace laps with the lineup.
I get that this is a brand new game from the ground up but these are kinda fundamental. Without it, the game feels pretty empty and much less immersive.
At least the physics seem pretty good and the AI have promise. Also game looks great

I really think the caution sequence needs to be overhauled, it shouldn't just essentially pause the gameplay and leave the engine sounds running. Let us pace under caution for 1 minute or so until we make our pit adjustments and give the player the option to watch the cars go down pit road
This looks a lot better than the previous videos. Potential but not ready for release

The first 15 laps of this race was the game that Motorsports games wants to show off but for some reason the game doesn't want to cooperate and I bet it has something it's probably one wrong piece of code somewhere and it's going to take hundreds of hours to figure
Oh you never know it might take 5 minutes could be that simple

Career modes the one last night when I watched some other guy's stream
I know the contracts are very detailed and I know you can get Kyle Larson's car
I also know the short tracks are probably the best place to hope for life
And custom setups are going to be very much needed and I still wish my one wish was in the game that damn break bias all I wanted
okay much improvement than the last video at least they are making updates
This is easily the best gameplay of NASCAR 21 so far

The only thing I wish, is that the 3rd person camera would lock onto the car instead of the camera staying flat while the cars tilted on the banking. Also that the caution was less of an abrupt stop and more like it was in the heat games.
