I tried washing my clothes in VINEGAR! Here's what happened.

- Washing your clothes in vinegar does not sound like the sanest thing to do. But i'm ready to experiment anything if it means finding more natural and eco-friendly alternatives to the more common methods of doing things. In this video, I show you what happens if you wash your clothes in vinegar.

I've been washing my clothes now with white distilled vinegar and lemon juice and your clothes come out beautiful like you said so soft I will never go back to detergent ever
Does it have to be distilled? Can I use normal vinegar?

I’ve done this before unintentionally. I was washing my washing machine with white vinegar, I saw on a UA-cam video that it was bad to wash your machine totally empty. So I put some old rags in there, nothing I really cared about. When it finish OMG... My old yuck rags smelled soooo clean!! I was amazed.

I used diy corn starch on my fabric and it's too stiff and won't wash out. I'll try vinegar to see if it will help. Thanks

So does it soften poly blend fabrics or no? That’s what i’m trying to figure out.
Saturate set-in stains with vinegar, then rub the spot with a paste made from equal parts vinegar and baking soda. You can add a couple of tablespoons each of vinegar and laundry detergent to a bucket of water and soak the garment overnight if the stain persists. Then, rinse and wash

I Have used Vinegar In my final rinse, and it works in place of Fabric Softner, but I've never wash clothes in it..

How much vinegar per load???
I’ve seen .5 cup (118ml) for a “regular” load or 1 cup (237ml) for a large load. Haven’t tried it yet.

@@darshnibid I used normal vinegar and no harm was done to the clothes or the machine. But use in small amounts, depending on your load (clothes).

After doing some reading online, adding vinegar will damage washer

Oh no! My 43 years old machine is still working perfectly & doesn't know!! Shhh....
Vinegar has been used in machines before any of the laundry stuff you can buy. It's a very old way of cleaning things and it will not hurt your machine. Washing it the vinegar is so diluted from the amount of water added there is no possible way it can harm your machine.

1. Should've done a normal load for good comparison
2. If I were testing something, I'd have used something sacrificial like an old towel or sommit.
I've done plenty of normal loads since then and it works really well. A full cup usually does the trick!
