We have evolved the ANPR camera since this video was made. The camera no longer goes between day and night mode, it has a single mode using IR illumination during day and night so there are no issues with changeover. Normal day / night cameras will still have issues surrounding headlights and number plates at night. Amongst other things it depends on how zoomed in the camera is. The more zoomed in you are the more the camera exposes to the number plate but you will inevitably have problems with faster moving cars on normal non ANPR cameras.
