He sure divided his money with Sandy, they built homes on their large ranch, took time about taking kids to school. Both saw those kids everyday. He took chargedand help Sandy raise those girls. Once they were out od school did he move back to Nashville and go back on the road. One girl is in college there in Nashville. One has made Garth a Grandpa. As a professional hair stylist who once lived in Nashville, I would sometimes help with doing Sandy's hair when Smokey, her regular stylist, was busy. I also got to overlook and assist with Garth's hair, which had at that time received some well done transplants. Garth and Sandy were both very nice towards me, and neither one of them showed any prejudice about having me around or helping with their hair. Garth was gentlemanly and even kissed my hand! Sandy even helped me jump my car battery with her Ford F-450 twice! It got interesting one day, after Garth had been on SNL(Saturday Night Live), he asked to be formally introduced to me, since we always joked around. We got along fabulously. We even took turns "reading" each other's futures. He gave me the highest compliment any man has ever given me before. I will not reveal what he said, but he verbally put me right up there next to Sandy and Trisha with this compliment, and I am still humbled by it, even if he was insincere(but I doubt that). Once he and Sandy started showing cracks in their relationship, I did mention to him seeing him with someone he collaborated with who was blond and my size, and that turned out to be Trishia, although I didn't know her name at the time. He blushed, and I could tell then he had deep feelings for her already. I saw Sandy last year in Oklahoma, and she is making it just fine on her own, and still pretty and sweet as pie.

They both had their indiscretions and THEY have worked it out. Trisha was married to the drummer of the band The Mavericks. They hardly knew each other and they rarely spend time together. I've known more than a few couples who went through previous relationships and they finally found their perfect mate. As a fan of both of them and having met them, their love and friendship and acceptance of each other is so strong and real that simply being around them you get caught in the energy of it all. I was a little disappointed in him when I heard they were getting divorced but on the other hand I'm a good person and I'm divorced .he my husband was too. just didn't work out. I wish them all the love and happiness in the world. And for him to put his career on hold to help raise his daughters is an amazing thing. It's a lot of fathers out there who would never thought to do that even if they could afford it. As a fan of both of them and having met them, their love and friendship and acceptance of each other is so strong and real that simply being around them you get caught in the energy of it all. Quite remarkable. I think that's all that anyone else should have to say about the matter.

I have absolutely no problem with them being together I liked them both but it’s the way in which it happened. If I were the ex or one of his girls I wouldn’t think that on TV introducing Trisha as the love of his life. Makes it sound like he never loved his first wife. Just saying I wouldn’t hurt my ex or my kids because it seems so uncaring and disrespectful. Now hey I’m giving my opinion because I was married to a cheater who not only cheated on me with the woman he’s now married to but also in the 24 years of marriage and 26 years total he was cheating all through our marriage. It may have been a life no time ago but it still leaves a nasty after taste for years. You get passed it but you don’t forget it and it messes with your ability that to trust anyone again.
