    I've worked these combos with my coach. Really good. Although it starts with saying the combos then drill the combos without saying. Haven't quite gotten to a full session without my coach telling the combo. But itll come.

    When hitting mitts do you keep your eyes on the mitts directly looking at them or do you look at the persons chest who is holding the mitts for you? Please could someone tell me. Thanks

    • @arealperson
      @arealperson 8 років тому +4

      +Mark Hunt You look at the person's chest, you should never look at the mitts, it creates a bad habit.

    • @xandergregor8292
      @xandergregor8292 6 років тому

      Either or, doesn't really matter.

    • @fireeaglefitnessmartialart935
      @fireeaglefitnessmartialart935 5 років тому +1

      I've always looked at coaches chest. In the beginning when learning the drill maybe look at the pads, but when you're used to it, shouldn't have to look directly at them. Use peripheral vision.

    Last night in class I used some focus pads for the first time ever and for some reason it was hurting my hands and wrists to hit them any idea why? I was bare handed but I can punch heavy bags all day and not feel it in my wrists and hands like that! An it hurt my forearms to hold them for my partner?

    • @markwolf7764
      @markwolf7764 10 років тому

      You were probably punching so hard, you were hitting you partner's palms.

    • @weZZYwaiter
      @weZZYwaiter 9 років тому

      lol maybe because you were bare handed

    • @timkudel

      did you use wraps to steady your wrist ( i think you call it that way in english)

    • @malcolmx1155
      @malcolmx1155 8 років тому +1

      Wrap up properly and don't hit with full power.
      Pain will go away soon.
      The body gets used to it after some time.

    • @rollinggoronable
      @rollinggoronable 7 років тому

      bro wear gloves, no reason for bare hands that's how u get injuries and then u lose out on time on training, like I was doing heavy bad kick with boxing shoes on, fucking mental, don't do it, one bad kick cuz of that and my foots fucked, basically I'm saying do shit how ur supposed to or else ur gojng to eventually pay for it

    For the part of the routine where you’re having your partner hit the body, you should warn about the fact that the pad holders ribs can get a little bruised if your partner hits hard or worse misses. Tnx for the sick routine but my ribs are currently still healing from holding pads against ribs while my partner whaled on me lol but I’ve changed the routine a bit and put the pad facing downward under my armpits instead, I encourage ppl to learn from my mistakes. Namaste.

    OK I can honestly as its not low level of skill but its also not high level either it more in the middle cause this is more of knowing your trainer my coach an do that all day with way harder combo but my mind and body know them by heart. Now throwing a lead set of punches and head movement before every combo that is har d when everything is 5-8 punch combo while dodging and blockin

    My GOD man,
    stop embarasing yourself..! Nobody ever attempted to do Mitt-Work like the great Former World Champion Roger "The Black Mamba" MayWeather until that 1st damn 24/7 episode on HBO..smh, This is no where near "Advanced Mitt-Work" boy so please don't call it that. Pad-Work is no where near "Real Fighting", the pads are designed for speed & finesse building squid & please stop misleading subscribers by saying the will be like Lil' Floyd if they do this. Damn, stick to what you know Bro..!

    Follow your own advice and at least know what your talking about. 1. Your comprehension skills are lacking. What your getting mad at and ranting about is all in your head. Stop trying to twist shit. He didn't say is was real fighting. 2. It is advanced pad work. Your not smart enough to know the aspects that it's advanced in. 3. There's always been mitt work like that. I trained at a MT place that also had boxing... They did that alot. And that was way before 24/7.
