John McRae’s Incredible Paper Jewelry

Castle in the Air’s John McRae returns with his second collection of Dresden paper trim jewelry. Incorporating real gemstones with pressed foil paper made on Victorian-era machinery, his creations are delicate wonders which harken back to an imaginative gilded age.
In this video, John explains his background and motivations in creating this collection in advance of his “Jewels of Dresden” exhibit and sale at Castle in the Air on December 2nd, 2016.
