@@r.g.7868 yes. A kelty coyote waistband. I just threaded the helikon straps through the kelty buckles and sewed the two sets of straps together. Its kind of wonky until you strap yourself in. Then youdont notice and it makes a world of difference.
@@codycox2685 so you basically still use the orginial waistband strap, just you added a wider padded belt, gotcha. I'd love to see it if you could upload a pic to imgur or somewhere. It's awesome to hear that you did this mod, I have an unused wide battlebelt laying around, I will have to give this a shot once the backpack comes in the mail heh.
@@r.g.7868 exactly. Was trying to figure out a more rigid way to attach it but couldn't figure it out. Wanted to attach the belt to the pack frame but unsure how. So just went with strap method.
@@r.g.7868 It's a great pack. I also added a wombat fanny pack over the middle outside pocket as a "pouch". The lid of the pack cinches down over it as well and it's enough space to hold a day of food, a robust hygiene or first aid kit, or an alcohol stove and fuel, all kinds of uses really.
Nice Mattsy. Goes to show that if you pack your rucksack properly, you can get quite a bit of kit in. Great setup in the cave & what a great way to re-purpase the hammock bug net too. I think I might get me that poncho too!

More or less the same week as you posted this, I also posted on my blog about using my new Helikon Tex Bergen for a overnighter here in the UK (although of course it was the tail end of winter here). Snugpak bivvy, poncho tarp, Numbat for camera gear - we obviously both have taste! Great load out vid, wish I'd seen it sooner, lots of tips to learn from in maximizing that pack, cheers sir! Great settup! looks super comfy. I realize how much better gear has gotten. All my stuff is over 10 years old and seems way more bulky then what you are carrying here. Might have to get an upgrade. I liked your boiling water trick as well around your container.
It’s the ultimate rabbit hole isn’t it 😂 It all helps a lot when it comes to hiking in though. Not all of my gear is ultralight stuff and most of it is more durable but it pays to keep it simple. 👍
I think you took hiking dehydrated food packs and a couple bits of fruit you could easily do it. Can always have the jacket under the clips and use that front pouch for some of the gear on the inside. I always prefer food goods to be in the main compartment to keep them from the heat of the sun. Doable. I’ll do it on a trip and find out 😆

Hey mate! I use a canon 200D. It’s only entry level but the lenses I use are 24mm and a 50mm prime lens which give a really clear image without spending thousands of dollars.

You need to grab yourself the Katadyn BeFree™ Water Filtration System take the filter lid off and fit it straight on to the HydraPak bottle. Then you have drinking water straight away. Works a treat.
Actually pretty sure my filtration bottle lid does work with the HydraPak. Great recommendation mate 👍 I have my filter at home but always like to make the fire and boil. Should keep it handy though. Just like to spice things up 😂
Hey mate, that all depends on what products you’re using. I can fit a 3x3m tarp, summer weight sleeping bag and a sleeping mat that packs down to the size of a 1L water bottle in there quite easily though 🤙

Hey mate, yeah from memory there is like a hole/slot with a closed bottom specifically to holds saw or knife etc on one side and on the other from memory it’s open at the bottom so you can slide through an axe handle or something.
yeah the one i have has 3 slots but in front of one of the 3 there is a tiny one there they looks like they didnt finish sowing it you can slide yor finger in its the front one
@@johnruiz11 oh sorry you mean behind the front pouch. Yeah the middle one is meant to be open at the bottom so you can slide in a longer tool like a hatchet etc

Hey mate, yeah from memory there is like a hole/slot with a closed bottom specifically to holds saw or knife etc on one side and on the other from memory it’s open at the bottom so you can slide through an axe handle or something.
yeah the one i have has 3 slots but in front of one of the 3 there is a tiny one there they looks like they didnt finish sowing it you can slide yor finger in its the front one
o well wondering if it was a flaw thank you
@@johnruiz11 oh sorry you mean behind the front pouch. Yeah the middle one is meant to be open at the bottom so you can slide in a longer tool like a hatchet etc
