KBA = Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt. As Motogadget is a German company, every product musst have a KBA Number. This means that the german vehicle authority has approved it and it is road leagle.
Not with this gauge, it does not have that capability. But if your bike does have a gear indicator sensor there are other Motogadget gauges that can have this function.
I’m considering using this as a discrete tach on a bike which lacks one. Is it possible to have this either go to tach mode on start, or to disable automatic switching back to speed mode?
Good question. This is possible by setting the "ABack" parameter to "00" in the "Displ" level of the setup menu. The "ABack" parameter is the automatic return to speed setting, and typically this represents the number of seconds before it returns to speedo display, but by setting to "00" it disables the feature.
Correct, you use a push button. It can be located anywhere and really depends on if you have a button available on your control housing or need to locate one somewhere else on your project.
Hi, I have just installed one of these on my BMW r80. Everything seems okay until i start the engine and rev it -the whole display flashes! Could it be an error or is it a rev limit warning?
Sounds like the tach wire is installed incorrectly. Careful, because that can damage the gauge. Shoot us an email to techsupport and we'll sort you out.
Can i get it to run as a fuel gauge for a ducati scrambler? I know there are other fuel gauges out there but they look downright disgusting compared to this
Probably a dumb question. Can I run this on my Harley as well as my regular speedo? I want to relocate my stock Speedo to the side of motorcycle and attach this to handlebars.
It entirely depends on the riser design or how much fabrication you are prepared to do. There are brackets for mounting to 1" bars and there are adapters that can be frenched in and welded.
The Motoscope Gauges water resistant. It'll handle getting wet from rain just fine and it might survive being submerged but I wouldn't put that to the test unless I was doing it just for that reason.
Ummm, maybe you are thinking about one of the mounting brackets or motosign products. It is not possible for there to be a $200 difference on a $260 product. In fact, I just checked, and the price at revivalcycles.com is actually lower than what Lossa offers.
Revival Cycles right but when you add the m-tri and a mini moto gadget gauge to your shopping cart it shows a total in the $500's and is not applying the combo discount of the m-tri with a gauge
Revival Cycles if the m-tri and moto scope mini is less than $300 on your site I'll definitely be buying, for some reason the shopping cart on my end is showing the price differently.
ahhh, now i understand...That is not correct, we must have a glitch in the system. We will get this fixed, but in the mean time we will honor the discount pricing by contacting websales@revivalcycles.com
We have not tried to install a gauge on a K-bike yet, and unfortunately without having actual specifications for the sensor it is impossible to determine if it will work in advance. Sometimes, it is possible to figure out from the wire diagrams but even that can be tricky. We have also learned that using pull up (or pull down) resistors can make a huge improvement in getting VSS (vehicle speed sensors) to read. But worst case you'd need to install the included dry reed contact switch and a magnet on the wheel, like on the bikes with out electronic speedos. If you would like to get into the details for your application email techsupport@revivalcycles.com
Yes, you can use this as just the speedometer and for the indicator lights without using the tach function. revivalcycles.com/products/motogadget-motoscope-mini
Hi ! Thank you so much ! I have this one on my iron 883 but the speed is too high :/ like it's multiplied by 10. Do you have any solutions please ?
Just make sure you wire it in and calibrate it exactly how the instructions manual states.
@@RevivalCycles yes thank you, it's solved ;)
Excellent! Ride safe!
Hi I have the same problem for my xl 1200N what did you do can you tell me where was the problem when im ridin 30kmh it show like 100kmh
@@FilmOneShotpls what did you change because I have the same problem
Do the lights indicate low fuel?
It's a bit involved but they can be wired in that way with certain systems.
Mine is inside a closure, where is the buttons? Oh. I must open the stearing holder.
How to fix a crazy readings that jumps around? Cleaning ?
Got that.
KBA is a special number used for a homologation similar to the "e-mark" you may find on exhausts ect. :)
Thanks for the info, we really like learning new things!!
Hi do you sell the relay? I have one and lost the relay.
Which relay are you referring to?
@@RevivalCycles I was looking for the relay that is used for the motoscope mini through the power wire.

Can you see the gear you are in ?
Not with this gauge, it does not have that capability. But if your bike does have a gear indicator sensor there are other Motogadget gauges that can have this function.

what do you use for switching inside the menu? the push button? thanks! If so, where is it installed?

KBA is German. DOES NOT MATTER............ Love YOU.🥰🥰🥰
Hi, does it show the fuel indicator on one of the small led at the bottom of the gauge ?
It is possible to adapt some types of fuel sensors to the LEDs but not all.
Can i get it to run as a fuel gauge for a ducati scrambler?
I know there are other fuel gauges out there but they look downright disgusting compared to this
A great idea actually. Have you found the answer to your question?
Can the odometer be set to match the existing odo?
Yes it will! The Motoscope Mini operating manual will take you through the steps to do so.
Is there a way to display the voltage or set a low voltage alarm on the unit?
The mo.Ride app will show you the voltage in real time and if you have the settings correct it will create an audible warning in your headset.
Probably a dumb question. Can I run this on my Harley as well as my regular speedo? I want to relocate my stock Speedo to the side of motorcycle and attach this to handlebars.
I can't say that I've seen that done but I also don't know why you couldn't.
I've seen plenty of videos on UA-cam that have done it.
@@Shahaaim link one of those videos to me of you can please.
Will this fit on Harley riser?
It entirely depends on the riser design or how much fabrication you are prepared to do. There are brackets for mounting to 1" bars and there are adapters that can be frenched in and welded.
How much is this??
Is this mostly water proof
The Motoscope Gauges water resistant. It'll handle getting wet from rain just fine and it might survive being submerged but I wouldn't put that to the test unless I was doing it just for that reason.
The KBA Number is a Homologation number for countries like Germany, if the speedo does not have that number it is not Street legal in Germany 😜🏍🏍🏍
Great, thanks for the info...next time I'll know.
I want this for my Thruxton but theirs is $200 more than Lossa Engineering, even after having a gauge in the cart as well.

Holaa, se me ha quedado en negro no marca nada, pantalla oscura, donde puede estar el problema? Gracias, un saludo
Ya te fijaste que si prenda? Si prende puede ser el led o algo interno. Si no prender checa que si este conectada a la energia
good people
Thanks Julian
Will this read the pulses from a BMW 1986 K100 I have read online that the pulses are very weak, old technology.

You know, you're right. I guess my brain was a little fuzzy after a long day in the shop.
