To clarify, I was the translator for this game, and I collaborated with someone who pulled the text files for me, and then put the edited and translated files back into the game to make the English version. It wasn't my decision to stop translation of the game, just that I didn't have the ability to pull all the files out of the game to modify by myself.
Real shame, I enjoyed what was released though. A surprising amount. I am planning on learning how to make these for Android/iOS however, as it seems to be the future of RPG maker anyways. Wish I could play this know the phone now though Hehe.
Yeah, that happens to fan games~ I didn't expect it to last forever and ever. It's been almost five years now. Though there is an entire chapter I'd have loved to play. ;~; I really love this game, not just for the tickling, but, the actual gameplay was really addictive.
@LinkEX The game is called Labyrinth of Laughter, but it's a Japanese indie game for people into tickling~ x3 You can find it if you google Labyrinth of Laughter and Tickletheater. There's a link on the forum. It's a Japanese game, but the translation is being done here in the US. Both the creator and the US translation team are in close talks too.
I doubt he would have gotten banned, and even if the content was bad, he could have simply left the project to someone else or carried it off site. What he did was inexcusable and pretty much a slap in the face to all the fans. :< He didn't even leave the thread or give us a place to continue. He just abandoned it, destroyed all the files and support and basically took a "if I won't do it, noone will" approach and that's what makes this a tragedy.
I don’t suppose anyone has any information on efforts to revive this translation project? -or just RPG tickle games in general, I would like to think there are capable folks out there that still care and possibly could be incentivized with pooled together community funding somehow. What version of RPG Maker is this by the way? If nothing else I’d just like to find the music tracks used in this game to listen to.
Does anyone have a working download link for this that doesn't throw up an error scene in the forest? And/or does anyone know what filename is missing?
i like the music in the beginning, but i neither found a game named "Labyrinth of Laughter" nor "Queen of the Forest". How is it called? It has english subtitles and was certainly released in japan...is it a console game played on an emulator or an indie game?
For a game centered around a sexual fetish the gameplay is indeed superb and well-balanced out (some typical RPG-style grinding involved, but also strategy). Anyway, it's great you put this on UA-cam. Great memories.
The reason he abondoned it I think was due to the controversy of a certain event... Might've lead to him getting banned from the forum. But if you can find anyone who can translate I'd be willing to put the translated files into the game
@ProductofWit No~ I'm very upset that the original translator abandoned the project to such a great game. :< He didn't even care about the fans who really were anticipating it. Just killed the project, and the thread and didn't even say why. It's really sad honestly. One of the bigger tragedies of the tickle community imo.
I still find that ridiculous~ I mean even the original version had underaged girls tickled. It's also just tickling~ it's not illegal, and this kind of thing is very common in anime and japanese material anyway. I think it's just really depressing he'd abandon it over stuff like that. He just basically said 'fuck you' to the entire community. :
Anyone fluent in Japanese knows whether the part beyond the Bandit Cave is good? Sadly, this game wasn't translated further and I don't have time to learn Japanese.
It all remains so vague. Controversity. I just wonder which controversity. It would sadly take me years to learn Japanese at a reading level to find out myself. ;)
Because the person who translated it quit on the project and cancelled everything because of the fact there were some underage characters in the game. Very irresponsible and selfish of him. Didn't even leave the thread open. Just, hurt the project ever having even a chance to start over. I've wanted to, but moving to a new place and getting a new job has hurt my time online...
Labbyrinth of Laughter. Here's a link to the original Japanese version: daabura(dot)blog97(dot)fc2(dot)com/blog-entry-343(dot)html. However, it doesn't have a working download link it appears.
@Doctor1297 A Let's Play of LoL~ wow... haha. I probably would, except the random battles are crazy, soooo many of them, and you kind of have to grind a little in some parts which I'd want to skip. ^^ You know who I am~ but who are you? :3
I do have a translator for you though, if you're willing to do this, I have someone completely willing to do the translation. I'm going to send you a message on UA-cam with my email, and IM. Perhaps we can talk about restarting the project?

Which version was the last version daabura worked on? You still remember that?
I should have probably downloaded a later version of the Japanese game. Maybe I could have pulled the text out. ^^ Would be a fun project.
Light returns Yeah, no recovery mirrors of the Japanese version. Those have been removed by even daabura now. Ah well. ;)

wait a second... is this Jaynin from Jaynin's Archives?

So sad this was cancelled, had potential of cutest game ever made
The Japanese version has also been discontinued so I've noticed on daabura's blog.

@strikerk thanks! guess that means i'll have a hard time finding the OST...

It's a lot harder than just translation~ the actual editing of the files is a real pain.

@SamZig that's very kind of you, but you don't need to do that for me :D
maybe it'll even be uploaded by someone eventually sooner or later^^
I can never finish those games because I lose on purpose to see what happens lol
Woahh 9 years ago

@SamZig What's great that in LOL winning through the game will still net you great scenes. :3

what the name of the game? >.

I wish that place were real so I could go there
@quackajack13z It's a pretty fun game. X3 Surprised to find something weird on the internetz? You haven't been here long, lol.
I do have a translator for you though, if you're willing to do this, I have someone completely willing to do the translation. I'm going to send you a message on UA-cam with my email, and IM. Perhaps we can talk about restarting the project?
Give me pls
@LinkEX I can try to ask around for you, but yeah~ I suspect it'll be tricky. X3
K
But why?
What...the...FUCK LOL!? Dude...what the fuck?
