Thank you all for watching! Here are some bonus tips not included in the video! 1.) To help make micro adjustments at long range, you can also use 'A' and 'D' to strafe left and right slightly. 2.) Record your games and look back at your missed hatchets. Are you aiming too high? Too low? Too far left? Are you too late? Identify where your mistakes are. 3.) In regards to reloading after downing survivors: If you have 1-2 hatchets left, don't reload before you pick up. Hook the survivor, try your long range hatchet(s), then reload when you are empty. This will allow you to only reload once, and start the next chase with full hatchets. 4.) TRUST YOUR GUT. If your gut tells you to release a hatchet, just do it. 5.) Watch other Huntress mains and pick up on things they do and shots they try
Not even sure if you'll see this comment, but phenomenal video! Found your channel a little bit ago and have been in awe at the shots you hit, I don't know how you aim through so many gaps and still hit long shots. Couldn't be more thrilled that you made a guide!
Thanks Kiwi! I read all comments I get on UA-cam, no matter how long ago I uploaded! I love feedback. Your kind words mean a lot. And I actually have a few other guides I'm currently writing up the script for right now 👀
I know i'm hella late but you really helped me man! I'm a huntress main and I was still struggling to hit such long shots. I practiced and now I'm even better at huntress :)
This, and my prediction guide are my bread and butter for Huntress. I may make a third guide at some point too, but I follow these tips really closely in my games
I'm learning her just for the skilled achievement. I've managed to hit 2 more thanks to this guide!! First one I don't even remember hitting and assume I just got lucky from a lop shot lol
currently i use 450dpi 5 sens (around 45cm) but im slowly trying to lower that number. basically: the lower the better, if you can go lower, you should.
I’m new to DBD (just started 2 weeks ago) and have been trying each killer. They’re all alright, but Huntress and Spirit carried me to Iri 2 and I find they fit my playstyle the most. I can hit every shot but I think what I need is perk recommendations to see auras long range so I can wind up and predict. Any recommendations on builds? (:
Welcome to DBD! Huntress can utilize a lot of good aura perks, but some of my favorites are Lethal Pursuer, Bitter Murmur, Darkness Revealed, I'm All Ears, and BBQ and Chili come to mind! She also has glowing concoction as an addon to reveal auras. I actually have another guide specifically about prediction shots that goes over some of that in more detail
The Huntress true secret weapon isnt the range of the hatchet but how wide it is. Dispite the fact it looks at most an inch wide it has a effective hit zone of about 15ft on either side of the hatchet... Its truly amazing. SMH
The hitbox is deceptively large. There's actually 2 hitboxes. A small one that detects collision on the environment, and a larger one that detects collision with survivors. This is why you can sometimes get clipped around corners and over the top of things. Understanding that from both sides will help tremendously. Even if it seems silly, it's how the game is programmed right now (and has been for multiple years)
God I've been trying for the Skilled Huntress trophy on PS forever. I just don't know how to get any better at DOWNING them from that distance. 24 meters, I'm never sure if it's enough or what. 100 times seems like it's going to take a year, especially on controller ;.; but thank you for the guide
After you've held a hatchet for 3 seconds, you'll hear a noise that signals the hatchet is fully charged (sounds sorta like a "shiny" sound). It will travel faster, and further when fully charged. If you release a hatchet immediately, right away, it will move slower and shorter, but will travel in more of an arcing pattern. If you want to be as consistent as possible, I highly recommend every shot is either fully charged, or immediately released. This is by far one of the biggest tips I have for newer huntress players.
@@DadbodShuffle ok thanks man i really appreciate you responding on older vids, i bought dbd like a week ago, i assume immediately released shot is just pressing right click and not holding it
@@mlsanica7618 I try to respond to every comment I get. As a smaller creator, I really enjoy some of the interactions I get with people here. And yes, if you immediately release right click, or tap it, it'll insta release an arc shot!
For the most part yes, absolutely! The controller sensitivity I have absolutely no idea about, so that's probably the only exception. Ive played about 2 games total with a controller and I don't think I've ever got a single hook. I have mad respect to anyone who can do well on her with a controller!
There's an iridescent addon she has that limits her hatchets to 1 total instead of 5, with the trade off that the hatchet insta downs survivors, regardless of health state. Just unequip that addon and you should be good :)
If it feels natural to you, use it! You want something ultimately that feels right. Most people have never tried playing on a low sense, so it was more a suggestion if you're struggling! If you feel it could help you if it were lower, I'd move it down in small 300-500 DPI increments
The few times I've played Huntress on controller I've used 0 sensitivity. She's so difficult without mouse and keyboard. Mad props to all the Huntress mains on controller
Me personally, I find that 80 sens works but that's because I'm used to it and it's generally the sens I use on all my killers. Honestly, I would start at around 70 sens and go up hit by bit until your sens feels comfortable to you. If you wanna go lower than 70, that's perfectly fine as long as it works for you. Just find something that's comfortable to you@@Pain-w6n
@@DadbodShufflein my honest opinion, she's not as difficult as ppl make it out to be. That might be because I used to play her when I first got the game (I was very bad at first lolz), but she's pretty easy. You just have to play a little bit differently compared to PC gamers.
I'm a bit confused. Most every tip in this video still applies to controller? Did you watch past the first tip, or did you get upset or something after hearing that I said people should have a clean desk?
Yeah, that's definitely a big oversight I made with this video. However, apart from the tips about mouse sensitivity, I think most everything still applies. Practice hatchets, stay out of line of sight, make sure your hatchet lands where you want it to and doesn't hit anything along the way etc etc. Hell, you can even microadjust your aim by strafing to the side on controller. I'm also probably the worst controller huntress of anyone in this comment section, so take that as you will
@@matthewblanco4370 Awesome!! I still do feel bad that I seemingly was totally oblivious to the fact some absolutely Chads play Huntress with a controller. I have immense respect for anyone who can manage that
In my personal experience, you wanna try to predict where the survivor is going and aim at that. Like let's say you think a survivor is gonna vault a window. Just aim at the window, and if they vault, throw, if they don't try to adjust and hit them. Trust me, it's easier to see visually than me explaining because I'm not that good at explaining lolz

I’m just starting out as the Huntress (got her like a couple of weeks ago) and these tips are really great! Thanks a lot!
Glad I could help! I spend a lot of time playing her and have made a few guides on her now. She's so fun!

Literally every survivor I face is able to dodge and predict all of my hatchet, any tips anyone?

Me: sucks at shots at the start.
Also Me: Endgame collapse and can’t stop hitting cross map snipes
You lull them into a false sense of security, and strike when they least expect it
I really want kbm support for console on dbd
Do any games on console have support? That'd be awesome
@@DadbodShuffle cod,minecraft and only a few others
You could always get an adapter that simulates a controller but works with a keyboard. But you gotta remember it won't exactly work the same
Step 1: Buy something you probably can't afford for the sake of a videogame character
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit
Very hard to find a guide for console:p
