In my area (westcoast Canada) all it takes to look 'expensive' is to make a bit of an effort :) Whenever I feel out of place or over-the-top I think back to women in my life who seemed so glamorous, and how mesmerising it was and the joy it gave to everyone. There is nothing wrong with standing out for the right reasons :)
I would love to see you do elegant combinations with skirts as I only wear that. I truly believe that everything that you say in your videos are spot on, but I would hope that you can speak to those ladies that only wear skirts.❤❤❤
I don’t care if I look expensive or not, but I do want the very best quality I can afford! Wearing natural-fiber fabrics and genuine leather naturally looks more expensive, because it is🙂
Gemma, I love your work and ideas. I’ve been working on my posture with a therapist since I have severe scoliosis. You & my therapist are excellent models for head alignment. Thank you for your graceful alignment and fashion ideas. Diana
Love all the color combos, especially the dark green and black also the burgundy and navy. Also like the new format for the video and your shorter hair. Great job Gemma. ❤
This video gave me so many ideas! I had not even thought of the blue and brown combo, but have no idea why not! These are perfect together and I have the components already! Thank you!
Great video, Gemma. Love all colour combinations. I adore forest/olive/khaki green with black or white, and camel paired with red is my favourite, also navy blue and tan/brown is luxurious while grey with beige/camel is lovely. All outfits suggested for this season are gorgeous and it's certainly getting much colder now here in the UK. You're always so classy. Thank you for all your wonderful content 🙏🏻💕
I adore navy and camel. I tend to wear navy in spring/summer and black/gray in winter. Camel is a huge part of my wardrobe so it gets added to both. I love that bright blue blouse on you.
These colour combinations are so chic and makes me understand why some of my outfits look flat. For instance, I have a navy raincoat but now understand that if I put a tan bag with it instead of my usual black it could look amazing. Thank you, have subscribed!
Thank you so much for suggesting brown with navy. I had never thought of that . Today , I was able to combine my separates into great outfits which included those colors.🎉
That is a gorgeous blouse and a fab color on you, Gemma. Purple is one of my favorites. Great color combinations. I have never considered gray and camel. It is quite nice.
Love these colour series❤❤ you can bet I’ll be watching this on repeat! Love the green and black and my hubby always notices when I mix great and camel ! ( something I had never tried before seeing your other video on this mix) Now, exit stage right, right to my closet to see what I have in navy and brown 😃😃
I have loved camel with navy or red, navy and burgundy, gray and camel, gray and red, since junior high school. I would sneak my MaMa’s burgundy sweater to wear with my navy skirt.(we couldn’t wear pants u til my jr year in high school.
I'd love to know how you organize your closet...by item (pants, shirts, etc) or by color. Are sweaters folded or hung (I fold into a drawer..sometimes forget what's where). Love your channel. You inspire me to review, discard, and organize.
I too put folded sweaters / knits in drawers - I put them in color groups ( white , cream , camel together , blues together , black in their section , etc. ) . Same w/ things hanging in my closet w/ coordinating shoes shelved below & bags above . 💟
It seems weird but I've been wearing a camel (or caramel) coloured cashmere sweater with a grey jacket and it looks great. Maybe only certain fabrics or textures?
I think I have watched this video about 3 times, its inspiring and i know that i have watched the colour combo videos before but this is a nice reminder of what works ...thank you!
Great colour combinations I ve just bought the seasonal red dress a knitted one. So will take your advice team it with my long camel coat. I love burgundy with navy .Great video as ever !!!
Love the dark green and black. In fact, I just tried on my cashmere green sweater with a new pair of black trousers I just purchased. I really liked the combination. I also purchased a burgundy cashmere sweater that was on my wish list for this autumn/winter season. I will need to take a look at the video you posted on burgundy. Thanks for your styling inspiration.
After tiring of seeing way too much black on people of all ages , from athletic wear to ( classic ) formal wear , I'm now focusing on navy as my go-to foundation color . So many easy options year round !
Would you please advice me. I just bought lily silk navy striped button up shirt in size M, I have 36 inches in chest area. The shirt have 41 inches in chest area. Do you think this is way too big 😔
I love all the color combinations but I don’t like them with the shoes. I don’t like tennis shoes with those navy pants. I’m not a tennis shoe girl though that is probably why.😊
I love camel but it looks pretty awful next to my face. So, I wear it as bottoms, or if a jacket or coat, with a soft-white, not yellowish cream, top. I just ordered a beautiful wool/cashmere blend camel coat from Banana Republic, their coats and blazers have breathable viscose/rayon linings! As I can wear polyester, which is such a ubiquitous lining fabric, I have been buying frequently from this brand this autumn season. I love your tomato red and camel outfits, both awful colors with my cool, soft coloring, Gemma, but perhaps I could get away with one with a white top. You are the best stylist, ever❤ (No brand affiliations, just a regular consumer who has to wear all-natural materials, but I like to mention that brands for us with this limitation).
I’m the same Kimberly. What other brands have you found that are good with natural fibres and linings? A trick I have used in the past for jackets I already own with a polyester lining is to have a dressmaker stitch a large patch of viscose/rayon right around the armhole area. Not as good as an original viscose/rayon lining but it does make things much better for me.
I wish people would stop saying "looking expensive." A person should not "look expensive." That implies they exchange certain services for money. You want your clothes to look expensive... your style.
I love Navy and Tan, it’s amazing, but all the combinations look super chic

I don’t mind looking expensive 😊
A different way to express "looking expensive" is "not looking cheap." Looking expensive sounds better.
Gemma, I love your work and ideas. I’ve been working on my posture with a therapist since I have severe scoliosis. You & my therapist are excellent models for head alignment. Thank you for your graceful alignment and fashion ideas. Diana
I love these videos where you give us color combination inspiration! Thank you, Gemma! ❤
I love burgundy and black, my go to colors. Gray and camel go together very nicely too. I have a poncho/cape in those colors.
Love all the color combos, especially the dark green and black also the burgundy and navy. Also like the new format for the video and your shorter hair. Great job Gemma. ❤

Love the hair! Classic and classy
What great ideas! Thank you.
Great video, enjoyed it very much
All of these combos look super classy. Thanks for the video!
Glad you like them
Gray and camel seems odd to me. I try to keep warm tones together and cool tones together. I’d put taupe with gray, or cool tone browns with gray.
It seems weird but I've been wearing a camel (or caramel) coloured cashmere sweater with a grey jacket and it looks great. Maybe only certain fabrics or textures?
Great video!! I love the black and green together…gorgeous!
Love love love the green with black. Love everything....

Hi Judith I’m 5’ 6”
Dear Gemma, what brands of belts would you recommend? thank you
I like Reiss, for mid range, ysl for designer and Boden for good quality budget/ish belts
@@Gemmawhattowear Thank you, Gemma.

Can I please ask where you got your long camel & grey cardigan .thanks
That blue blouse suits you
Beautiful shade of blue, very becoming on Gemma.
Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say
Thank you 😊
Would you please advice me. I just bought lily silk navy striped button up shirt in size M, I have 36 inches in chest area. The shirt have 41 inches in chest area. Do you think this is way too big 😔
You look fabulous
Curious to know, where did you buy brown sweater set.
Its from Nap Loungewear, I don't think it's available anymore
All color combinations worked/looked nice except for the camel and gray IMO.
Red can be a yellow base or a blue base. Try the blue base and see if you can war it. Good luck!

Hello, where is this camel coat from?😊
Hi, it’s Zara few years old though
