      It was fun to see this 715 in fall tillage. I got to operate it for about 45 minutes after filming. My first time featuring the 715 here on the channel back in August was a ride and drive at Farm Progress. It was fun driving it on the Case IH course and talking about the new features but field time in action is always more exciting.

    Hi Jason, many thanks for giving me the chance of riding in such an impressive machine, sadly it is the way of the future as the operator said about labour problems sad to say you do have to cut down on labour and the are many reasons why, in my opinion you have to get on and off that field as quickly as you can before the weather changes, if you can cut bale and cart a field of wheat, barley or oats in one day and the next day send in a machine like that you are ahead of the weather, gone are the days of huge gangs of labour where you could have a great laugh and fun while working it's now down to less labour bigger machines higher productivity , the big question now is , when are you going to get one of these big articulated tractors, I'm of the old school the bigger the machine you must distribute the weight I don't think that beauty in the video was field weighted . You must distribute the weight of the machine on tracks to achieve better pushing or pulling power, all the very best Jason to you and the family.

    Wow. The Quadtrac can get 50 acres done before breakfast! The lighting package does a good job :) Do you think we'll see mainstream 1000+ HP tractors in a few model years or can implements not grow much further and still stay street legal? While rippers are more compact and need all the power they can get, air seeders and chisel plows, for example, are already quite a handful even folded up. Larger and more powerful equipment isn't as productive if you need to wait for an oversize permit every time you have to move it anywhere in a hurry...

    Great video Jason. I wonder what the trade off is with Compaction. Less passes means less compaction and the 36” track option should make a significant difference. I guess it is a race to a 1000hp.

    • @jamesbarbour8400
      @jamesbarbour8400 3 місяці тому

      There aren't any fewer passes though - he misses the next run when lifting out the implement at the end of the current one, and picks it up on the next pass down the field - allows for smaller headlands and less berms in the soil, as the tractor isn't turning so tightly. No part of the field goes uncultivated.

    Time to move that thing over. Wonder how big CaseIH will go now that Deere went around them. WAAAAAY around them, and no DEF either. They also have a 40ft disc designed to be pulled at 14 mph. A little math shows about 70 acres per hour with an efficiency of 88% allowing for turns.

    "Tractors don't call in sick" is the typical response you get get from a cry baby farmer that's too cheap to pay a decent wage whilst they live high on the hog and continue to cry on how bad they have it. Good thing the hat isn't bent anymore than it is from looking in the mailbox for those government checks.

      @@clearskiesranch1362 Clearskiesranch1362, both you and Gordon won the argument over me, so I take back my comment. I had no idea that some farmers have it that good---holy Christ, almost as good as corporate executives. In regards to government checks, and I assume American government farm subsidies, up here in Canada our farmers do not receive farm subsidies--at least as far as I know. I used to farm long ago and at the time, in the early Eighties we all received a Canadian government subsidy just once for soybeans. Up here in Canada we are really a smaller country in terms of our economy so our government does not have the huge treasury like the U.S. government has. Anyway we have a good life up here.

      @@brianzybura8633 I’m not trying to win arguments so please don’t take it that way. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see all the big farmers talk about how hard they have to work to pay the bills while they receive huge subsidies straight from the taxpayers. Taxpayers who are actually struggling to make ends meet. The Canadians have the right idea.

    Have farmed for over 40 years. What is the point, of being able to purchase a tractor of this size and run it at 6 mph. Sorry almost a break neck speed of 7 mph. What is the point to go slow? If you can not afford the diesel why have it. The size of disk here connected to this 715 can pull this easy at least at 15 mph to 18 mph easy pizzy. The hp should be used. Good thing they never plan on using BOOST. These are engineered, designed and built to reduce time in the filed. No time savings on this farm. This is a complete waste of tractor HP. Go back to the ox.
