Glad Clark wasn't driving faster than his angel could fly. He seems like a genuine and loyal guy. Thank God
god had nothing to do with this mate.. that was 100% Clark. thats experience and knowledge come together in perfect harmony.
@@reyalPRON Preacher ran off with your old lady didnt he. Just know she's happy now. I can think and believe whatever I want. Only a Muppet would tell someone else what they should think or believe, you aren't special, and I'm no mate of yours.
@@budddove6480 and one more thing. a preacher ran off with my old lady? what are on about? take you medicine and take a breather from the internet. go touch grass
@reyalPRON it's a common phrase I've heard and follow and I'm not religious never drive/ride faster than ur guardian angel cause at the end of the accidents happen skill and experience just makes it less common
@@jamespain7479 what? you are not religious, but u speak of guardian angels?
sir. make the choice. Clark saved that one, no intervention with a fictive creature created by human imagination...
That's Some Driving Clark ! Glad your OK !
Clark is a DRIVER!
He also treed you bad Steve!
Damn that is definitely an eye-opener, I've been sideways at 170 I can't imagine another hundred miles per hour on top of that would have been a code Brown moment that's for sure😂
I’ve been crooked at 70-100 mph…. I can’t imagine another 100 on top of that…. Let alone 200😂😂😂
i had to stop this and say this has to be the best Steve Morris videos that mix and the editing has been top notch
I also had that impression
Yep they're in a new gear ...
Congratulations Clark
Don't f up the paint says the guy who laid his keys on the roof 😊😊
Strangely it didn't appear they repainted the roof as it was masked off in the booth.
@FastSS02 my guess is they painted the roof first then taped it off to paint the rest of the car... not the way I'd do it but doesn't make sense not to paint the roof too
@@smithjohn3080 I dunno. I didn't see them sand it in the video either. Doesn't mean it didn't happen I guess.
He knows there will be a helmet 🪖 or two set on top!!.....wiiners circle type stuff!!!
They autocrossed with drum rear brakes.
Can’t wait for SME to fix this issue!!!
Great driving Clark!!!
Awesome video as always!!
Still love how you show the struggles of everyday engine building !
Slick paint = 100 hp! Clark with the cat like reflexes! Nice driving Sir!!!
Thank you for not editing that out. It was a good belly laugh and the world is way too serious about it anymore. Sometimes you just need to joke about us people who blind people with our calves. People with skullets need more love.
I love that color blue on that pick up 🇺🇸😎
Haha “Tanya Harding you right now!”
Came here for this! Had me rolling 🤣 😂 💀
I wonder how many viewers have no idea what that means? 🤔😂😂
Numerous unless they watch Vice Grip Garage and they've heard him talk about grabbing the Tanya Harding Aka BFH AKA HAMMER
Glad your still with us clark
f3 to f4 for free, hell of a guy.
On the subject of Cotton, I'll give a tip of the day. The factory Caprice cars typically had a 7.5 ring gear rearend like an S10, and police cars had a variant of the 8.5 ring gear rearend. I don't know if the wagons had the 8.5 because of the car weight, but that's not the subject of what I foresee as the next move.
Cotton probably still has a 2.56 to 3.08 standard diff. That's easy. The trouble is that GM made a pinion gear that receives a pinion speed wheel, and a PSS that feeds the ABS.
If the pinion speed sensor doesn't match a potential gear ratio change to possible 2.73 to 3.42, and the tone ring on the pinion isn't matched, and the ABS isn't disabled, the car will be a brake pedal applied scary ride thru a red light with no brakes because of ABS signal.
On a similar subject, the diff carriers and gear sets are the same used ons10's or 8.5 full size rears if you eliminate the pinion speed sensor and disable the ABS by pulling it's fuse.
I learned this the hard way by someone else's F'up, and it wasn't my car too. The car was a 93 Impala SS. To keep ABS, the ring and pinion set used to be available thru a GM dealer, and the exceptional folks at that time would have learned about the pinion tone ring to gear set match because the tone ring wasn't a part in the gearset that allowed for it to be installed. A GM or aftermarket gear set is not machined to allow for this quirk in standards.
To sum it up, disable the ABS and put an aftermarket 31 or 35 spline 9 inch in it with whatever posi or locker that's desired. The money spent will override the money and headache to find someone in knowledge to find the parts for the specific gears that aren't covered in aftermarket. I can tell stories.
Shew, learning memories..............
Long hair guy for the tiny car win!!!
Clark is a good driver for sure!! Stop tearing stuff up Clark! 😂
Fine lol
Clark's wing could have used 8 or 10 of those self tappers for his wing. Just glad Clarks run ended well.
It stood up to a speed close to that last fall but not this time. We are already in the process of reengineering it to make it better and safer
BIG Congratulations To Clark. Glad you are okay Sir. I bet that was a brown streak that wont come out. Nice street racing LOL BUSTED. Clark got you on a hole shot bad. I bet Alex Taylor is laughing her a$$ off lol
That problem is old. Every honda that runs on the 8 and 7 suffers from the same problem. The parachute will lift up the rear end , making it really light.
Solution.... a deployable 4 or 6 inches rear lip at the rear spoiler with a electric piston.
Once you deploy the parachute, that lip will go straight up, giving enough down force to keep them on the ground .
Porsche has a system called PAA.
Same thing.
The wing blew off first which is why he pulled the chute
We run special land speed chutes not drag chutes for these runs. The only reason the back end got upset was because the rear wing ripped off the car just after the 3/4 mark. It was fine at a similar speed in October but it just wasn't happy this time. That's the way it goes. We have already talked to the manufacturer and are working on a better design that will hold up to the speed and the downforce.
Clark better get himself a wheelbarrow to card those huge balls! Wheel man for sure!
A new level of entertainment has been reached by SM. I think this is your best episode. Covered everything in detail and had some funny shit along the way. Congratulations Clark you big balled MOFO. And the 2 dudes at the end are fantastic. Well done 👍
Now Steve knows why the wizard always leaves a window open on cars in his shop lol
It’s been so long since Ive had the front windows up on my bonneville I don’t even know if the window motors are still any good (should probably check that lol)
Good lord I have to say the way Clark handled that steering wheel was inhuman. No chicken wingin there. That man has the skills to back his balls!!!!
Thank you for sharing this and my god I’m glad everyone’s okay..!! I already know you guys are gonna be on top of everything!!!!
You guys are amazing people and more importantly, I hope everyone else learns something from this to make their program(s) better and safer…
Much love!
Paint guy done a great job!! Cotton looks awesome!!
That big black hemi push rod is the guy she tells you not to worry about
Cotton looks spectacular.
Cotton is looking good!!!! Man 263mph and going sideways is wild!!!
Man , that smart car race was painful , was like watching 2 turtles on a Sunday stroll , but deep down inside still exciting
Turtles stroll?
I think the cnc bandsaw comment was from me. The context was yourbfirst video on cnc blocks where you were commenting about the recycling value of chips. The thought was if you order a larger block of aluminum you could increase the useful scrap vy sawing the material between the deck surface and corner and between the pan-rail and the edge of the block. Cnc bandsaw are relatively cheap but a horizontal mill and a slitting saw may be more precise. But I wouldn't change anything until you're 10 or more blocks into you're initial process.
Thanks for sharing Steve!
I know the loss of a wing was a big factor, but I think that the hard opening of the parachute is also an issue. I've seen it in many other drag cars.
I used to skydive. I don't do it anymore, but something that occurs to me when I watched these drag shoots come out is that some sliders that would delay the opening of the parachute just slightly might be a really good idea. Right up with the parachute the kind that I used the purpose of the slider is just to slow the opening and delay the opening of the parachute just a little bit so that it can open in a more organized way and the opening is less violent because if you're going from 120 miles an hour to 20 miles an hour in under a second it gets violen
That loss of control is almost certainly because the parachute opened hard and it lifted the rear of the vehicle causing, you know, you didn't have loss of control back there. And now you're hauling on the back of the car with a fair amount of force and it's just wagging the back end around. A slider would slow that down so that it's not such a violent event.
The chute is a land speed chute.Small and long .It doesn't hit hard .I got drag chutes for drag racing and those hit hard
Always problems and fires to put out. Good thing Steve is so positive.
Clark we love you bro! Bas a$s Camaro!
Love all the random updates. Always enjoy SME videos. Can we all agree what a upstanding guy Steve is. That F4 Upgrade was awesome of ya.
When you go that fast Clark all kind of things can really happen guys have a great weekend
Love all the content you've been putting out Steve...lots of different things it keeps me coming back!
Clark is the man!
Oh the Michigan Tanya Harding comment had me rolling ! Thanks for all this content awesome stuff !
That long door tool you unlock the wagon with was it called ( The Big Stiffy ) One of the best for unlocking door when you lock your keys in you car. That is the name it is funny. I love that white wagon!!!!
Steve and Clark, y'all rock! That was some fine driving you did there. Peace ✌️
Steve... Locking it up in the trailer???? Glad Spring is here so you can open the garage doors with engines running.
Best to you Scott 🏁
If you re-watch it, it isn't locked. The drivers door is open. The problem is the keys are in the ignition and the back latch is closed. They need the key to manually open the back glass. Or, they can jump the battery to use the electronic hatch release.
Congrats to Clark and what a save. 👏👏
Cotton's headlights are absolutely Great. Would be perfect for the BoostMaster Wagon. 👌👌
Smart ForTwo 451 FTW
Painting music 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 is AWSUM. Paint job is too. Wow, what a transformation. 👍
Mothers Day gift? 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
He really is a superstar!!! amazing job Clark!! Glad you are safe!
Holy splat! If were in Clark's shoes, I might have pooped some.😬 Whew!!
Nice save Clark!Your a bad ass.
PROUD new owner of a 91 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser I am daily driving in Iowa! Had to grab me a STI decal for the back!
A Chase is a Race ! Lots of good content ! Thanks for sharing !
Love the weatherman step by step🤘😃
You the man Steve ! Fellow Michigander I love it ! My sisters husband needs to get with you . He is back to back NMCA nitrous pro champ. But he runs Musi engine . He is in Belleville . Be awesome to keep it in Michigan.
Great video Steve. you are a ball buster lol. Congratulations to Clark glad he’s ok that could have been bad. Cotton look awesome
16:10 what a lovely colour. ;)
Hey Steve, one of your fellow brethren’s from the wagon tribe will be gracing your shores in a few days. Picnic Media and his Aussie wagon CLIKBAIT will be traveling around a few burnout comps and riding along for sick summer.
Hopefully you have time to check out his badass wagon and do some wagon content together. Great guys doing great things for the enjoyment of people around the world. We appreciate all you car about nuts sharing your journeys with us.
Videos are getting better! Keep it up man!
RIP To the legend Chris Farley
Steve don’t you dare sully the wagon with those eBay lights 😂
They look better than the factory crap.
Most people dont understand the fact that those blocks of aluminum are actually what is called a billet. When the word billet is used thats referring to the block of material. The technical term for a "block" is a billet.
That's a beautiful wagon
Most excellent 😎
The Tonya Harding pushrod is insane!! 😂
Lol, loving the Morriscasting from the corner!
I met Sonny at kool April nites in Redding and chatted with him about the pro charged sm big block. Awesome truck.
Thank God Clark is ok. Turning the steering wheel that much at that speed, his tires must have scrubbed for hundreds of feet. The license plate on Cotton stands for new pillow! You’re making a lot of wagon fans!
ive never been converted into loving a car before but steve youve done it
i love the wagons now ive always thought they looked cool but i actually want one now lol
First car I ever had was an '85 Chevy Caprice Classic with a 4.3 v6 rear wheel drive. Loved that car but at that time I didn't know much into mechanical repair, wish I would have kept it.
Love ur tunes man.....I'd have that so loud .....yeah!!!!!!
Great job Clark on that save brother..
Do I see a cotton giveaway, like sugar momma? I would love to have that wagon!! Great job guys
That dude can actually drive I've seen that before from him.
"The Caution" in effect, not like early videos, so I'm Back to learning & still watching twice, Clarky too valuable to lose, life skills saved the day.
Hey Steve, I'm really digging the music. The soundtrack rocks
That tool he used to open the hood of Cotton is used to unlock cars very fast. I have one myself i got when i worked for the Fire Department. They are great
Cotton is looking great 😅
Sometimes it pays to have patience's. Great video as always thanks!!!!
The music during the paint montage reminds me of Foghat. Top stuff!
OOPSsssssss…..😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
25:30 one slick unit. 👌 real nice!
I bet the pucker factor was about maxxed out for Clark. Y'all take care.
One heck of a save by Clark. Looking forward to dyno content.
You know the meaning of FIAT? It stands for "Foud It Absolutely Terrible"... 😂😁😜🤟
I like your machining content, more please 🙂
2:25 GLAD HE REMEMBERED TO MAKE GRADGULE INCREMENTS. TINY MOVMENTS ONLY. GOOD REMEMBERINH
Awesome video Steve 👍
Id almost satin black the grill to bring the dark side to blend the headlights together.
Awesome Steve! Just "THINK"... IF EVERYTHING WENT TO PLAN STEVE? THANK YOU, J
Glad Clark and car is OK, albeit he ended up a little slower than he could have ended up. Entertaining video for sure.
Well you sure are a brave man ! Sorry the button did not work for you. You have big balls !! Stay safe, you are a kool customer
270 mph in a drag and drive car!
Speaking of billet blocks, Here's a question I have always wondered.
How do you machine all the oil/coolant passages ??
The juice ain't worth the squeeze. LOL
"She's a beaut, Clark."
loved the outro blooper show!🤣
The size of that F4 is ludicrous, 1 to 1 wit an engine
A lesser driver would have been far more likely to not have the outcome he did!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE driving job!
300 or 400 dents down the side... LMAO!
Hey Steve, There is no "gone" in Oregon-Ore-gn
He has the rear hatch up in that SUV while sanding the wagon, lol. That Black SUV has to have 1/4 inch of dust inside of it by now.
Wow cotton is a nice car👍
Steve, I watch a lot of milling videos and I see that too many machinists play it safe when it comes to IPM (Inches Per Minute) milling speeds etc., especially the
older machinists! However, machinists in general are unwilling to increase machine speeds because they were told there are certain rules to follow. Todays new CNC machines and end mill tools can easily mill 1/4"+ of aluminum with each pass by increasing speeds of 500 IPM+. They could probably mill that excess material off those billet block decks of yours in a matter of minutes. They say that Harvi and KOR end mill tools are beasts for cutting anything. Your finished billet blocks are super nice! Any of your customers ever ask for anodized blocks and heads? Those would be cool!
