Thank you for sharing. As a social studies teacher, I've taught my students how current events become future history. I once had a personal friend of mine on Facebook who experienced the Arab Spring in Egypt. She posted updates on Facebook. I used those posts in my current events lesson, explaining that social media is important in describing the average person's perspective of history. Oftentimes, that part of history is ignored by historians.
That is a very good method for recording history as we have learned history books sometimes omit perspectives as they get written by the winners. Keep up the good work of keeping history fresh for the youth to learn.
