Holy burning forearms Batman!!.. I make the same face when trying to play 32nd notes on the hats lol (That's how I counted them anyway😊...Or super fast 16ths..carry the 2 and multiple by 11.) Very tasty playing Brad!
Hahaha!! That's awesome! I haven't counted it out but I think you're right with 32nd notes. It's a displaced six stroke roll played as triplets. At least I think it is. Haha! :)
Recently found your channel Brad, love your studio setup and the mix you’re achieving! Awesome work. I’m in the process of learning to professionally record myself at home as well, any videos for engineering and mixing drums at home in the future would be killer for us less knowledgeable drummers out here! I typically find my drums sound absolutely terrible pre processing… I’m not sure why as I’m tuning the kit well and play pretty consistently. Any tips as too why the raw tracks could sound so terrible? Maybe a long shot but hey, figured I’d ask hahaha. Cheers and keep up the awesome work!
Hi Curtis! Welcome to the channel! I've got a few videos that might be helpful. These two videos go over my entire recording process: Part One ua-cam.com/video/AekpB2ePi8A/v-deo.html Part Two ua-cam.com/video/pdGWcA_bFVk/v-deo.html I also have a ton more that might get you closer to getting the sounds you're after. I hope they help! :)
Thanks, Marco!! I love this setup! I think I'm going to leave it this way for a bit longer. I'm planning to take more drum lessons as soon as I'm done with the project I've been working on. Looking forward to learning new stuff! :)
@@RecordingDrumsWithBrad You play has been great all along that I've followed your channel, that super mastered ghost notes rebound.... very cool! I can see you are very comfortable on this setup, it seems to make you happy.... I might do the same thing,.... declutter my drum set.... less tools, more creativity... 👍
Love those Superstars, the sound you're getting from them and your playing (I really wish I'd kept my '82 Swingstars 😒) That take was awesome.
Thank you! I love this kit! I would love to have a Swingstar. Especially anything from the early 80's. Amazing kits!
nice snare tone!
Thank you! That Acrolite is becoming one of my favorites! :)

Fun drumming for this song. Hey Brad, you are playing better with this drum minimalist setup

i advice to play strait thru , not chase the sequence ...on top , get underneath strait thru , but with the funk .....let the track ride on top
