Ooh this was a full package! Let’s unwrap together. What did you think of Bob Dylan in this? I wanna hear from you! Like, comment, subscribe. Let’s connect: linktr.ee/mrspenpal
I see this song as Dylan's tribute to the muse that inspires him to create the music he creates. At the end of the day, it helps him overcome his weariness, puts him under its spell, and drowns the troubles of the day to let him face the next day refreshed.
Spot on. "Cast your dancing spell my way -- I promise to go under it..."
Sounds good.
No muse, GOD.
@@stevemarks9820 for some people, God is their muse.
Muse - a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist.
I can't think of another performer who can remember the words of a song like this, with all the other songs he sings.
The greatest singer songwriter of our time.
Thank you so much! This is the very best reaction to my favorite Bob Dylan song, which I first heard back in the 60s. You appreciate his imagery and poetry and delivery! It is no wonder he won the Nobel prize for literature.
This is one of my favorite Bob Dylan songs, and your reaction was the absolute best I ever saw.
Love your enthusiasm ! Been listening to Dylan for 50 years, he is the gift that keeps giving. Bob is a mythological figure. My fave song is Man of Peace and my fave live song is the 2024 Tour version of "When I Paint My Masterpiece". Enjoy !
Beautiful reaction. Dylan is a poet and expresses his art through his music magnificently.
you have a good sense for music and for poetry, which is rare. you should do more videos where you can put this to use. (if you want more of dylan's poetry, try Love Minus Zero, and of course Visions of Johanna. but he has literally 100s of unique songs well worth listening to.)
Brilliant!! Goosebumps as soon as he started singing!! Lovely reaction Blessing!!
What a wonderful reaction.
This was absolutely superb, both the song and the reaction by you, Blessing! I thoroughly enjoyed this and it has been such a long time since I heard this song that I really got a charge out of hearing it again. So here's to your next reaction! 🙏😊❤️
Glad to hear that thanks for watching✨
❤❤❤
His voice was perfect for the songs he wrote and as a cultural alternative to the popular music of the day.
he was 18 when he wrote this awesome tune
so nice to see the younger generation appreciate Bobs genius! great reaction. would love to see what you think of his Masters of war.
Greetings from Indonesia, Sister. A masterpiece indeed. And your very best reaction to date. Thank you.
Pete Seeger is introducing him and sitting behind him. One of the forgotten greats of music.
If you understand out from the crowd in terms of a reactor nearly, nobody has reacted to Pete Seeger, he has an amazing song called we shall overcome. If you can find the live recording you should listen to that he did a couple of shorter songs called what did you learn in school today and little boxes which you make for a good double reaction And one of his other songs named “ big rock candy mountain would be a good laugh too, I’d prioritise listening to Pete Seeger, Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan and then working your way through the musicians are they inspired such as Bruce Springsteen Chuck Berry is another good artist who was from roughing the same time and hopefully the foundation of American and British music about 10 years before the Beatles came along
When ask in a interview what the song was about he said it's about a tambourine man.😊
Bob Dylan... one of the defining artists of the 1960's ... inspired everyone from Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles to Patti Smith... try finding the live tv performance of Blowin in the Wind from March 1963
Oh.......and All Along The Watchtower.
The original first by Bob, and then the Jimmi Hendrix cover.
Now try North Country Blues by Dylan at this same venue. It's simply stunning!
Bob Dylan is a poet, activist but mostly a Musician, a band I like, Jason & the Scorchers, did Bobs song Absolutely Sweet Marie and it's a banger
Lovely reaction.
another great Dylan song would be Hurricane, a protest song about a man accused of murder.
for a more recent live performance, check out Blind Willie McTell from 2012
Newport folk festival introduced by Pete Seeger
beautiful, to think of you hearing this song for the first time as i did over sixty years ago and i still love it!
There are some great Bob Dylan songs to cover
Blowing in The Wind
Like A Rolling Stone
Just Like A Woman
Dont Think Twice
Sad Eyed Lady ( of the lowlands ).
A future Nobel laureate is shown here.
one of my ALL TIME favorite songs
Just Like A Woman is a great song by Dylan, I think you will like it
When you were from that era this was breakthrough!
Love your reaction to old Bob. I will forever love The Poet.
Dude... PLEASE ! Check out "What Can I Do For You Toronto 1980" (the video version). It's one of his best performances ever from his beautiful gospel period... With amazing choir girls adding invaluable magic to the track. Thank you!
best lyrics EVER
Great!
love ya reaction girl. dylan is beautiful
more dylan for sure x
He is what we call in the spiritual world a Old Soul ...
He’s younger than that now
“Silhouetted by the sea”
C’mon man!
❤️
Love your reaction ‘
Awwh thanks for watching
Great reaction! You would like tangled up in blue...
"I come following you" - both of you, you are a couple to, like a couple. Great!
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much Ricky for your kind donation! You made my day 😇✨
I always feel like he's describing a feeling of listlessness. His world is grey and feels dead. He's looking for inspiration not just as a writer but in life.
That’s a good one thanks for sharing Charlie ✨
What a great reaction !!! the song takes you places !! Please react to the Marshall Tucker band song , Cant You See Live at the Grand ole opry house.
GREAT tune
Ive instructed my family that this is to be my funeral song
Then and now not my kind of music, but I like your sincere reaction.
Such a romantic young man.
Now listen to The Byrds doing this song, which was the first way I hear it!
Minnesota a produced Bob and prince
Loved your reaction. There's actually another stanza that Bob didn't sing. Others and myself have taken this song as a sort of calling out for a messiah of sorts to take us away from the emptiness and tiredness of our present civilization and existence. Someone has pointed out that this seems an envisioning of the coming to America of Prabhupada, who, to the accompaniment of the tambourine, kartals, and other instruments brought the chanting of the Maha-mantra to free us from illusions and revive our natural happy state of being. His movement and chanting is now in every country. ua-cam.com/video/pjn7c1uqhkU/v-deo.html
Phil Ochs forever.
Scruffy kid walks up to the microphone ... and absolutely kills it.
Luv your reactions.
Yes, the Poet.
Where are your lyrics being transcribed from? They are not even close to what he is singing. I have been listening to this artist for over 60 yrs, his melodies can be inviting but his words and the picture they paint are everything to the magic of this artist. Make sure that wherever you are getting the words that make up the musical story are exact and not just vague guesses at what the song is about, you will be rewarded again and again by these extra special thought dreams and their backdrop music.
When I was a high school student in 1964 another student told me about this Bob Dylan singer that was coming to a University clost to my home to perform. As you realized, he was so different with his stories and inventive lyrics there was a magic I could not understand at first and one that I kept seeing evolve as life went on. Now, in 2024 I am still enjoying his genius as his melodies and stories just keep pouring out.. My time in in this world has given us the greatest genius in our musical history. He holds up his end of the bargain by continuing to create thought dreams to his melodies. All the musicians of his era are in complete awe of his stamina, imagination and presentation. We have been blessed by being alive to witness this special artist that God inspired and infused with the magic of musical storytelling. And, at 80 he ain't done yet. You are in for a glorious ride of discovery as you wander through Bob's songs.
The man sold his soul to the devil to be able to do this; and I'm going to be controversial and say, "thanks Bob. I appreciate the sacrifice." His lyrics are probably the best ever.

Bob might not be a good singer. But, he sure sings good
Gotta love his writing and lyricism, but, The Byrds do a much better version of this song. I know the Dylan lovers will hate on me for saying that, lol
