I love that a good 95% of the cast are of Pacific Island/Polynesian descent. NZ Maori, Samoan, Hawaiian etc. Kudos to Disney, not only for including Islanders from all across the Pacific but for creating a film that incorporates all of our Pasifika cultures 🙏🌺✊

That is awesome they named Moana's mom Sina! My best friend's name is Sina and she is Somaian ( hope I spelled that right)! She looks so much like Moana and has the best leg tribal tatoo that she drawed herself! I love learning about Sina's heritage!

I knew the majority of the cast, and I just came here on a search to find the villager Phillipa Soo played. To everyone freaking out like "oH CHRISTOPHER JACKSON PLAYED TUI" Lin wrote the songs and sang a bit in We Know The Way, but you should totally check out other musicals that the two were in- In The Heights is a good one to start with
