Was wonderful why my paintings are not smooth. Even I see a lot of brush strokes. I will now try gesso on the pad.
Yes do try. Also the brush strokes can be caused by various reasons - including paper/canvas texture, the consistency of paint, the type of brush etc. So just play with them to find what you like the most! 😊
Which is best canvas or simple drawing chart for acrylic painting
Camlin, FineArt are all producing good quality canvas - it will be cost effective if you buy a canvas pad (which contains 10 sheets). If you want paper like texture go with Arto acrylic painting pad. There are several factors - your paper, paint or the base that you have created. If your paper is so water absorbent, then you will have problem blending. If your paint is old/sticky/partially have become thicker, then also you will not be able to blend the colours properly. Watch this video to create a proper base before you paint with acrylics -

Can we use 140gsm paper directly for acrylic or we have to gesso it 1st? And can we use the same sheet for watercolor colours also?
It is not only the gsm you need to consider for gesso..there are lot of other factors - like the texture, the absorption, the type of paper etc...You can ofcourse paint acrylic on any paper...usage of gesso depends on the absorption quality of the surface and also the style of painting you need to do - for eg., if you want to try more realistic approach and the paper is very textured, it is better to gesso before you can paint over it.
The same applies for watercolours, if the paper is not made for watercolours, then you might not be able to do all the watercolour techniques and layering with watercolours will be difficult!

Which type of paint is best for hand made papers?
There are different types of these papers, and you can use any paint on them...acrylics, watercolors etc...their absorption varies from the other papers...but you might need to add a medium/gesso in case u r planning to work with oils

Nd do u mix water in acyrlic color while doing painting??
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I know its really vague but that's how acrylics work. It completely depends on your paint consistency and the technique you wish to implement. To give you an idea, when you paint with tube paints, and wanted to blend colours, a touch of water will be fine. However if you want textured, expressive style, water will not serve the purpose!
Can we paint acrylic painting on 200 gsm paper????
You can actually paint acrylic on any paper - however the technique you use and the output will differ. My minimum recommendation would be 300 gsm paper as it can hold even some textures and the paper would not buckle up. If you want to do on a 200 gsm paper, like a paper from a sketch book - you can gesso and use it. In a sale point of view, do use a canvas or a acrylic paper for more durability and flexibility.

If its a part of your sketch book and its just a study work, you need not varnish. If the paper work is going under a glass frame, then also you need not varnish. If otherwise, yes you can varnish..you need not go more that 1-2 coats.

Yes of course you can - and you can use any paper too...but there are limitations when using other papers such as chart paper - you cannot layer it with many layers and blending colours is more tough..if its just for school projects or some small study work, you can use it...if its for professional paintings, please use canvas sheet.

You can use acrylics on any paper - but depending on the thickness and porous nature of the paper, the output varies. 100% cotton paper is usually used for watercolours. You can do acrylics on them if the paper has a heavy weight and thicker. If not, the paper will buckle/warp.
Can we paint acrylic paints on a4 sheet paper
I think you mean the normal printer paper - those papers are not ideal for acrylic painting. Even though you can paint on any paper, the final result will not be good enough and its hard to use acrylic techniques on normal printer papers.

Actually you can paint on any paper - but the output will be definitely different than you do on canvas or acrylic paper. Don't use your printer/cartridge paper. Thats too thin to take any layers. What kind of drawing book? If its alteast 120gsm or more, gesso it and you can use it for basic acrylic techniques and art journaling.

I have taken loose sheets which side I have use it?
Canvas sheet? For canvas paper, one side will be little textured and the other side will be smooth. You should paint on the textured side.

You do get watercolour sheets as larger rolls - you can use them.

Can you explain more on the question...do you want to know if you can use sketch on the paper? or acrylic on a sketch book?

You do have sketch books that you can use for acrylic painting, still you have to invest something to start.. Instead of canvas pads, you can start with canvas boards which is available as single boards and costs less than 100 rupees...check this video on
