You could make a delish jam with all those berries. Cook them down with some sugar and a bit of lemon juice over low temp for about an hour. I bet it would be so good!
You could make a crumble with it, and even put that on ice cream! That sounds amazing.. otherwise I would make a lot of yogurt parfaits lol

Those berries look so delectable. If you’re not up for canning jam or syrups from them you might consider a dehydrator for your next kitchen addition.
Succession planting is something my dad used to do with his corn. He’d plant a crop and then two weeks later lent a second crop. We had corn on the cob all summer and the. The corn was also picked and boned with the corn cut off the cob for frozen corn for the winter.

I love horror/fantasy and some romance but I'm wanting to branch out and find out what kind of Thrillers I might like but I have no idea where to start or which authors are decent but I like similar books to you so It would be fab to have your input. Also you must read Bookshops and Bonedust, I absolutely loved Legends & Lattes and I think the second instalment is just as good if not better and you'll love it!! New overalls stunning❤I freeze chopped tomatoes,pipers without seeds,to stuff with rice and so on…also I freeze dill and parsley,chopped again. They stay as aromatic as the fresh ones. I prefer to freeze fruits,my own pears,apples,cherry and currant. In Russia winter is from November till April and everything I prepare helps me to make my food yummy. We like to drink tea with our own herbs: mint, marjoram,sage and estragon. I dry them every summer.Ur harvest is amazing ❤enjoy it nevertheless something isn’t going well. We are not farmers anymore and we don’t depend on the food we produced.

I’ve always been an avid library user if I didn’t I’ve had too many books around the house. I use Libby and the library and we have kindle unlimited in the states so a lot of books are on there for $12 a month! Most libraries have a hold system like Libby which is nice for newer releases. I love the gardening updates! I got into container gardening this year to see how it goes and it’s been going well. Maybe try your cucumbers in a 5 gallon bucket with a tomato cage? I’ve had luck with that this year. Also I’ve been on the HUNT for Tayberries in NY and it’s next to impossible to find 🥺
You should try using builder gel (needs a UV light to cure)! I've been using it for over a year and have had to trim my nails many times because they get too long 😅. My nails would break sooo easily, so far now I've only broken my nail maybe 3x!

Hi fern! My partner and I were literally just talking the other day about how sad it would be if movie theatres close down for good. We are avid goers but it seems like there are less and less people going!! Support your local theatres people lol
Also I think the tayberries would be perfect for a crisp/crumble and muffins as well! I bet your garden plants that are still small will pop off in July with some more sun and heat ☺️ we have had a cooler wet summer so far as well in Seattle but fingers crossed for a sunny July and August 💚

Welcome to gardening, Fern ! Preserving is a lot of work (everything comes all at once) but is very rewarding. Soon you'll have a pressure canner (a must for canning) and a dehydrator and a tomato mill and a vacuum sealer. You'll be down a whole new "plant obsession that feeds you" rabbit hole! Enjoy!

@cozyplantlady11 nothing to be scared of. People have been doing it since the dawn of time and you're a smart cookie & will figure it all out easily. It's a lot of work but extremely rewarding to grow & preserve your own food that you can eat year round. You'll love it! ❤️

I always make a huge pile of pesto and then put it in ice cube trays in the freezer. When frozen I pop the cubes in a freezer bag to save space and then you can enjoy pesto all winter long in easy portions. The freezer is your best friend when you grow fruit and veg. 🤗
Ooh…and making pickles is also much fun and always comes in handy

44:05 I used to live in a place with a similar kitchen- living- dining- set up. Y’all could really get rid of the dining table to make the living room bigger, since you have the bar and stools. To replace space for the kitchen table, you could get a big coffee table to replace play games and do projects at. That way you don’t have to sacrifice a big flat surface and can still eat at the coffee table if you are entertaining. Especially if the living room seating works with that as well.
They have these really cool big square coffee tables that rise or double for storage! That’s what I did ! ❤️
