People giving you guys a lot of heat for conparing this to the QV, i feel like they're mostly exaggerating...but i do agree with some other comments on here that, while tue video title made me really excited, the video itself felt a lot less positive Maybe it's just the editing, or maybe you guys just took for granted that we'd think that most of this car is just amazing, but it did feel like you didn't highlight the many positives as much compared to the few quirks/negatives I think it stems mostly from the QV comparisons, where imo direct competitor comparisons would've probably been more positive and given us a better view of how well this car does against its rivals. The verdict in the end could've still been "Work harder and get the QV", but it would've been more because that thing is just so amazing, not because this Ti is a letdown (at least again compared to direct rivals), which i thiiiink is more of what you guys were trying to say Still loved the vid tho, hope you have a great new year, keep them vids coming ^^

the review is amazing as usual but it did get a bit distracting having Yuri compare it to the Quad the whole time. Like it’s not supposed to be compared. just some lowkey feedback
I have a Giulia Ti Q4 and agree with most of everything they say here. Car is amazing. Transmission is fantastic and steering is the best out there. The manual 1-2 shift is easy once you get used to it. Shift at like 5k in 1st and you'll get it every time. 1st is just a really short gear and it revs very quickly. Launching in auto is fastest and with an easy to install piggyback car does 0-60 in less than 4.5 seconds and 1/4 in under 13.
@@marcelbordo2085 JB4. Easy to install and you can custom tune it for WMI or when you install a hybrid turbo. Also dealer cannot trace it as it doesn't flash anything.

Does it get the job done? 2) "Poor Res Back Up Camera" ..."What's behind you is not important" Fangio ....Look him up 3) "Seat Belt Chime Outdoes Parking Sensor Chime" ...See # 2 4) It's not as loud or dynamic or fast as the Quadrifoglio.....DUH ? This thing, in both trim levels, has BLOWN THE GERMANS AWAY !!!
By constantly referencing the Quadrifoglio, you fail to appreciate this model’s virtues and it robs us of an objective opinion on how it really is. Come on, Yuri, that’s not how you do a review (although you seem to have gotten over the Quadrifoglio at a point).
If you love a car only because of the sound, you are not even a petrolhead at all. 😂 Legit, handling and acceleration are billion times more important than the sound.
Keep picking your German cars and whenever they'll break, because there's a better chance they will, you will just believe it was bad luck and be happy for not having such an unreliable Italian car.
With the prices of these on the used market now... if you are fortunate enough to be near a dealer for yearly service needs, these 2020+ model years are really a bargin for what you are getting. Stop with the comparisons to the QV model, and just enjoy it for what it is. Plenty fast for "normal" car needs, stunning looks, an interior that feels quite "premium" and will age well (not luxurious, but premium), decent enough space for most needs, 25+ mpg, AWD, easy remote start (looking at you German cars,) and a driving/handling/steering feel experience that is unlike any other SUV...at least ones I have been in. With the reasonably priced MOPAR extended warranty, its really hard to beat. The infotainment is not class leading, but once you set it up how you like... it actually functions really well in my experience. (Not laggy when you use the center dial BTW.) Unless you really struggle with small screens, the backup camera, IMO the only real let down, is still perfectly usable.
Good normal people fast, i'm normal and loving this 4 banger!!! you guys should of driven this before Quadrifoglio and your reactions could have been better. this car has best handling and engine for the base trim out of all compact SUVs.
I’m glad you finally compared it to cars in the segment. I was scratching my head after 10 minutes of “the QV is better.” I think it’s a great suv at the price and would probably take it over the others mentioned. Tech isn’t as good but it’s a great driving suv.
It depends where you look at when looking for tech. If it's the infotainment, than you're absolutely right. The Stelvio TI base price in Canada starts at $59k. If you load it with extras and carbon fiber like the model tested here, don't be surprised about the price tag.
Yuri. I think somebody is getting a little spoiled with all of the super cars after hitting 1m subscribers. This car is pretty special for being a base engined family hauler. Despite its lack of pops and gurgles, its certainly a more fun option than a fwd Q3, NX or GLA, which really is what this is comparable to. You can get all of those things you want for an extra 40k with the Quadrifolio, if you really need them. Then, of course, you'll have the pleasure of dealing with the dubious reliability and maintenance of a Ferrari engine. Try to remember that most of us that watch these don't get to drive tester AMGs every week. We're likely shopping for something exactly like this - that can be semi affordable, functional, and still a little fun.
You make it sound like this will be reliable compared to the Quadrifolio, but they are poorly built either way. The turbo 4 in this will be lucky to see 100k, and they failed to mention in this video that the interior squeaks and rattles from the factory. At the end of the day it's still a FiatChrysler product, so low quality is to be expected.
@@KB-vu5xs And all that information is based on what? Hear saying from every body that doesn't own one, that's where. If you want to learn about car true reliability index, look for maintenance and fleet availability data from car rentals and leasing companies.
@@miks564 I have had mechanics, who I know for a fact have worked on them, tell me about the stupid designs and poor quality of various FCA vehicles, including Maseratis. Also, no friends or acquaintances of mine have bought a second FCA vehicle due to having numerous issues while owning one, and that is across many brands and models. Several of them had to fight to get repairs done under warranty even though it was 100% FCA's fault; they are a shady company... they cut corners, they only care about profit and not quality, and they try to have no accountability. Not the sort of company I would give my money to, even if their quality wasn't a joke.
@@KB-vu5xs Well, not all FCA products are alike then, because I use them since the past 30 years ...not only because they can be more fun to drive, but also because of reliabiltiy. They never let me down and I trust their engines to put up with my aggressive driving style and to start a journey being mindful only of how much fuel in the tank there is. I'm very happy with my own experience, especially when I see the examples from the car fleet at the company I work for, more than 90% of those, from the usual three German suspects. ...and I'm keeping my preference precisely putting my money where my mouth is. Maybe FCA products have not the same quality in America as they have here in Europe - but Alfa Romeo is only built in Italy, as far as I know.
You guys need to stop comparing the top cars to the normal ones and keep dwelling on what it is NOT. It's like reviewing a Corolla and saying welllll, it's missing this and that and that AND THAT, IF you compare it to an LFA. Like you said, the price is totally different. It is obvious from your FORCED smiles in every single car when you do launches that you are totally jaded after testing so many fast cars. It's become really hard to watch you review any car now except for GT3 level cars that truly get you excited. Maybe a "reset" in your mindset needs to be done for 2021. Just say'n. I cannot be the only one who thinks this.
I own a Giulia QV and I wanted a daily driver SUV so I ended up getting the Stelvio QV for a whole week (by the dealership) but I ended up buying the Stelvio Ti Nero edzione because its just more easy to drive. more nimble, it can be fast if you understand the torque band and also more mpg over Stelvio QV.
Owners are not only happy with the Italian design and style, owners are also willing to pay more and or, get less resale value. ...and are also ok without the "German success stamp" in the front grille of their car. It's quite easy to find out why. Make a test drive and feel the machine. I've even witness a typical mum or wannabe mum, developing a more driver's mindset after acquiring a Stelvio. It's not just a great SUV, it's a superb handling car in the current market where almost no manufacturer could care less about weigh transfer and dynamic behavior. These vehicles are a blast to drive either fast or slow.
That turbo 4 likely won't see 100k and they are poorly built inside and out. They squeak and rattle from the factory, even though this review didn't show it.
BS. They have their issues but I own a Stelvio and a Giulia with 40k miles between the two of them, and 3 cross-country drives. Neither had had but a hiccup. I’m sure little things may come up here and there, and I’m not ignorant to the fact others have not been so lucky, but these broad generalizations are simply untrue.
@@spencer1638 You just "bragged" that cars with 20k miles didn't have issues, that just goes to show that not even you expect good long term reliability from them. Cars with that low mileage obviously shouldn't have issues. Get back to me when they have 200k, if they make it that far. Also, driving across country isn't really making a case for your point since highway mileage is less wear and tear.
@@KB-vu5xs I don't need to test drive because I own a brand new 2020 facelift stelvio. Car before was a 159 which i had for 8 years and did 130k miles. 159 build quality and reliability was great. Perceived build quality of the Stelvio isn't as good as Germans but for equivalent spec it's much cheaper and outperforms in chassis and engine departments. Ignore list prices. E.g. Stelvio can be had with 20% discount and 2.9 % finance! No discount on a macan and finance is 6.9% that changes things a lot which reviews never touch on.
Seems like Yuri has lost touch with the viewership a bit..... This SUV would be a dream for most of us. 280hp/300tq and 5 second 0 to 60 and he's like "meh".
That 2.0 Multiair turbo would have been the perfect engine to trickle into the Dart SRT if it would have ever made it to development :( 280hp would have been great.
@@marantamil459 That sucks, glad I don't want a modern Mercedes either. If you want evidence, go to a dealership and push on some interior panels or drive it and listen while you take some turns. A brand new "luxury" car that's interior sounds like a 10 year old Kia is a joke.
I really feel sad for this generation. They spend more time fussing about the smartphone part of the car and totally ignoring the AWESOME CAR part of the car. All manufacturers should go back to single DIN AM/FM head unit and be done with it.
I had the Giulia Ti in AWD (Q4) and it was a nice car in terms of styling w/ Rosso Competizione paint. The problem was that I was always wanting more power the the Quadrifoglio is a big jump in price. Ended-up grabbing a BMW M2C, but the Alfa handles very well - no denying.

Maybe it's just the editing, or maybe you guys just took for granted that we'd think that most of this car is just amazing, but it did feel like you didn't highlight the many positives as much compared to the few quirks/negatives
I think it stems mostly from the QV comparisons, where imo direct competitor comparisons would've probably been more positive and given us a better view of how well this car does against its rivals.
The verdict in the end could've still been "Work harder and get the QV", but it would've been more because that thing is just so amazing, not because this Ti is a letdown (at least again compared to direct rivals), which i thiiiink is more of what you guys were trying to say
Still loved the vid tho, hope you have a great new year, keep them vids coming ^^
Isn’t the shifting and sound kinda a total let down? -yuri
@@TheStraightPipes oh wow, didn't think i'd get a reply to this, but awesome to see you guys reading the comments so throughly ^^
i wouldn't say it's a total letdown personally, considering it's just as good as the competition even in those points
Obviously it's a letdown compared to the QV, and if you want to say it's just so much better there that everyone should just save up more for that then that's reasonable too
I just think it'd be better to compare it to the actual competition during the review portion, and then in the verdict say "it's good/great/decent/whatever, but the QV is so insane you should just buy that"
Looking forward to what you guys got in store next for us ^^
I seriously love this car now
the review is amazing as usual but it did get a bit distracting having Yuri compare it to the Quad the whole time. Like it’s not supposed to be compared. just some lowkey feedback
Just learnd that a way more expensive version of this car is better! Thanks guys!
What?! 0-100 4.5? Cmon mate. How’d you get that number?
What piggyback did you install?
@@marcelbordo2085 JB4. Easy to install and you can custom tune it for WMI or when you install a hybrid turbo. Also dealer cannot trace it as it doesn't flash anything.
best looking SUV ever IMO, that interior is 🔥
Love my Stelvio Quad... They are fun, fun, fun. Great Review
That's the perfect spec, all blacked out and red interior 😍😍😍
Whoa boys....lots of unimportant nitpicking here....
1) "Laggy Infortainment" ...Does that make it bad ? Is it easy to navigate ? Does it get the job done?
2) "Poor Res Back Up Camera" ..."What's behind you is not important" Fangio ....Look him up
3) "Seat Belt Chime Outdoes Parking Sensor Chime" ...See # 2
4) It's not as loud or dynamic or fast as the Quadrifoglio.....DUH ?
This thing, in both trim levels, has BLOWN THE GERMANS AWAY !!!
...and the infotainment is far from laggy. It's very fast and responsive ...only the touch screen sucks.
@@miks564 in NY there's STELVIOS EVERYWHERE
Never been a fan of the looks of this car, but that interior is hot af.
Once you drive it that all changes

Merry Christmas y’all
I drive the Stelvio Veloce 2023 and still watch all the alfa videos don't know why 😂
Drove one recently and quite liked it especially the updated interior for 2020
By constantly referencing the Quadrifoglio, you fail to appreciate this model’s virtues and it robs us of an objective opinion on how it really is. Come on, Yuri, that’s not how you do a review (although you seem to have gotten over the Quadrifoglio at a point).
Hey man, it is what it is. They’re completely different cars.
@@TheStraightPipes Exactly. So review THIS CAR and stop talking about the Quadrifoglio.
At the end Yuri chose stelvio over bmw so its not as biased as everyone is saying
Stelvio look's like a truck for high command of mafia, Is so pretty!
Alfa Romeo is really making some fun to drive vehicles
Yuri's hair always look like he just stuck his head out the window
If you love a car only because of the sound, you are not even a petrolhead at all. 😂 Legit, handling and acceleration are billion times more important than the sound.
Stelvio is a beauty.❤️
the best suv on the planet ! FORZA ALFA ROMEO
Best handling! Until the computers fail, which they will. Because, you know.. Alfa's soul.
That turbo 4 will be lucky to see 100k too. Plus for people who really want handling, they wouldn't be looking at crossovers.
(Not laggy when you use the center dial BTW.) Unless you really struggle with small screens, the backup camera, IMO the only real let down, is still perfectly usable.
it looks like the suv james bond would have drove for getting kids from school or grocceries
James Bond has offspring?🤔🤔
@@ivanlowjones yes but it is a well kept secret to protect them
Good normal people fast, i'm normal and loving this 4 banger!!! you guys should of driven this before Quadrifoglio and your reactions could have been better. this car has best handling and engine for the base trim out of all compact SUVs.
You should opt for the Quadrifoglio “Work harder” 😂
I’m glad you finally compared it to cars in the segment. I was scratching my head after 10 minutes of “the QV is better.”
I think it’s a great suv at the price and would probably take it over the others mentioned.
Love the red leather interior
How cool! Looks like something Batman would drive! Very good review of a super cool SUV.
I mean. This stelvio and the stelvio quadrofoglio are Both stelvios
I think this Stelvio looks better than the Quadrafolio especially in black and these wheels also look better than the ☘️🤔

Yeah them seats look good 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Looks great in all black. I love seeing Alfas around. I always get the feeling that the owners know something that the others don’t.
I wonder how well these will hold up over the years. I know you can’t tell from a few days with the car.
That turbo 4 likely won't see 100k and they are poorly built inside and out. They squeak and rattle from the factory, even though this review didn't show it.
@@KB-vu5xs obviously no first-hand experience with one.
Watching the video kinda lost but-gets super excited about the box test! 😂😂
Seems like Yuri has lost touch with the viewership a bit..... This SUV would be a dream for most of us. 280hp/300tq and 5 second 0 to 60 and he's like "meh".
"gas particular filters" ?!?! C'mon guys, it's "particulate"
Bought one last week. Pick here up on Friday! Can't wait!
wait guys the GV70 is coming next year with a 3.5 L V6 TT Motor and 380 HP for the same price, more luxury more power more warranty.

You guys are hung up on anything other than the Stelvio in this test. It's NOT a Quadrifoglio, get over it. This machine is beautiful.
Ya I guess it’s a deal breaker for me that the quad exists
That 2.0 Multiair turbo would have been the perfect engine to trickle into the Dart SRT if it would have ever made it to development :( 280hp would have been great.

@@KB-vu5xs The models after 2020 are top notch. No more squeaks.
I really feel sad for this generation. They spend more time fussing about the smartphone part of the car and totally ignoring the AWESOME CAR part of the car. All manufacturers should go back to single DIN AM/FM head unit and be done with it.
Normal for Europe is 100 to 140HP. Not 280. That's really fast for us.
