Messing with Duesenberg Multibender

- Just a quick video of me messing about on a stratocaster set up with a Duesenberg multibender bridge. They are truly amazing and a lot of fun to play with. I have a long way to go to master this type of playing yet but hopefully this will give some idea of the sounds that can be achieved. The one thing that I find a struggle is the natural lap steel playing position is compromised when using this device but overall if you want that pedal steel sound without spending loads then get one of these. Take the time to subscribe and rate this video if you could really helps me. Thanks and have a great day. :).
You have inspired me. Ordered a g lever for my .I used to listen to the Paris Texas work by Ry and pulled it out.
Every now and then you played an amazing lick. Don't give up!
Thank you :) i will never give up
@@dhowell2006 could you install these on a headless guitar?
@@davidhenrylake2047 I think you could as the multibender only replaces the bridge but I would email Duesenberg to check with them, they are very helpful! I know they do do a different part for a telecaster style pickup so best to check. Have fun :)
@@dhowell2006 Thanks Dan. The difference on a headless guitar, the tuners are at the end , they're called Rockets in some cases because of their 40:1 ratio.
They pick ups sound clean
Thanks man, Open D tuning with a capo on the second fret
Sounds excellent Dan especially the last 30 seconds worth :-)
Beautifully played. Any special reason why you chose the central pickup?
Thank you, I just liked the sound it made
Hey Ted, I'm pretty sure you may have to purchase a pickup ring from Duesenberg in order for the multibender to fit correctly on a tele.

This is a link to where i Purchased my Multibender from they sell these pickup rings and you should be able to find some info about fitting them on the steel guitar forum site which is super helpful. As mine was put on a cheap strat I can only speak for how easy that was. It literally was a case of taking off the old bridge and placing the multibender screws in. I cant see how it will be too different on a tele but it is definitely worth checking out that site. Hope this helps and apologies I cant reply properly through just comments. Good luck you wont regret using it, its awesome.
Yep, I had to by the PU ring from Rockinger to make it work on my Tele. But once that was done it went pretty easily. I dispensed with the Tele copy and got an actual Telecaster to do it on. I now have a beautiful 3-pickup, butterscotch blonde, Deluxe Nashville Tele with a 3 lever Multibender on it. I am presently getting acquainted with playing it.
love it on my lap steel!!
What tuning were you using? THX! Good Demo!
celestial floating
I have a Multibender that I plan on putting on a Tele Copy (if I ever get around to it). Any installation difficulties to watch out for?
Thanks dude :)
Hey Dan- did you install this yourself? There's not much on UA-cam. Still trying out what's going on exactly.
Yeah its easy enough to install, as far as i remember there is a plate you buy seperatly for a telecaster. For my guitar it was just a case of replacing the whole bridge and restring the guitar. I put a nut raiser on the top nut too which raises the string height. I got mine on thomann. They were very helpful! Hope that helps buddy
@@dhowell2006 thanks Dan. Appreciate that.
tuning is oped D, and how did you set benders?
It was tuned to open D buy capo on the second fret so open E and the benders were set the same as on www.rockinger.com/index.php?cat=WG899&product=2405C&sid3=so634rd8nq971b4phkggh733q1
Hope this helps
