  • In this video I cover my approach to modelling a street light that is outside the Apple visitor centre. I only took a few photos of the light and could not find any other images online, so I had to extrapolate the rough dimensions using the curb height in one of the pictures :) G3 constraints are used where possible to model this form. Please watch the first two videos in this series for more background on the construction used.

    Interesting approach.
What was your reason not to model a pill, then cut off the sides and finally make an extruded cut?

I think doing it that way as a solid would have made controlling the outer surface form trickier. I'm pretty sure the 'untrimmed/uncut' form is not a revolved pill form.
